    Thank you so much for this review and especially the comparison. Oral-B should sponsor you for this review. It made my choice so much easier. I hate how loud the 'standard' older Oral-B brushes are. It sometimes wakes up my toddler. I think that will be a thing of the past with the newer iO brushes.

  • @mytoothbetold
    @mytoothbetold Жыл бұрын

    Hi Mentos93! Thanks for the comment, and I am sorry for the late response, I have been on summer holidays. I understand how you feel and if you are not used to pressing the optimal amount on the teeth with the brush, it can seem excessive when trying to achieve the optimal pressure. I want to assure you that so much research and studies have gone into assessing the optimal pressure for toothbrushing, and that the pressure is safe while the green light is showing. When we do not put enough pressure on the teeth with the toothbrush, we don't clear away enough of the plaque (bacteria and food debris), which can contribute to inflammation in the gum tissue. When gum inflammation becomes chronic, it can contribute to gum disease, and the gum tissue can begin to recede. If you are still worried about pressing too hard and gum recession, try using the extra/ultra soft toothbrush heads! I hope this information has helped you and let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Thanks again for your patience for my response! Have a great day! Holly :)

    hello thank you for this video! I live in Switzerland and I ordered hismile products (I took their toothpaste the pack with all the aromas, the PAP+ toothpaste, I also took their two powders, the PAP+ one and the violet for optical whitening, the PAP+ strips, the purple serum, the purple foam and the dental plaque revealer) suddenly you say that toothpastes should not be rinsed off? yet on the packaging it says to rinse. and for powders, even pap+ powder is not good?

  • @mytoothbetold
    @mytoothbetold Жыл бұрын

    Hi LushyWorld! Thanks for taking the time to comment on the video! I hope you are doing well :) I am sorry for the late response as I have been on summer holidays. Some HiSmile products are effective and are a great addition to oral health routines, such as their toothpaste and even the PAP+ strips, and there are scientific studies to back up the product's effectiveness. However, products such as the purple serum and foam will not whiten teeth. The purple serum and foam leave a thin layer of purple on the teeth that reflect light differently, making your teeth look white. But when this thin layer of purple is washed off through rinsing, eating, drinking, and just salivating over time, there is no purple left on the teeth to reflect the light differently, so your teeth go back to their original shade/colour. I hope this helps! Holly 😊

    Hi Holly! Love the video. Do you think it's possible to use the strips on reconstructed teeth? I had to do a filling on one of my upper tooth because it recently broke: would the color difference be noticeable?

  • @mytoothbetold
    @mytoothbetold Жыл бұрын

    Hi Alice! Thanks for your comment ❤️it is okay to use them on the fake tooth structure but the strips will have no effect on the fake tooth structure. The beauty of strips is that you could use them until you feel happy with the result even if you don't finish all the strips. Let's say you do half the treatment, your happy with the results, you can just stop. Although to be honest, I would opt to use Crest Whitestrips instead. Use a toothpaste containing potassium nitrate for at least two weeks prior to whitening and do not rinse your mouth or eat or drink for 30 minutes after (so you get the highest absorption of potassium nitrate to desensitize the tooth). Crest white strips are by far more effective. Hope this helped! ❤️

    So, I have had the IOL series 3 for about a month. And I have to say. This has to be one of the most pleasant rushing experiences I have ever had. Dare I say it to, but I actually look forward to brushing my teeth now. I really like the soft gentle micro vibrations that it has. My question is, when it becomes time to replace the brush head, does the handle actually vibrate? Or am I just going to see a light on the cleaning button.

    That's awesome Andy :) I am so happy you are loving it! I actually don't know if there is a specific thing on the toothbrush that will tell you that it is time to change other than the colour indicators on the bristles. I also set a reminder on my phone to change my brush head. There also may be an option in the phone app. But the toothbrush head should be changed every 3 months or when the bristles show signs of wear or you are sick. I hope that helps!

    @mytoothbetold Жыл бұрын

    Thank you, Andy, for the kind comment! 😊 I do find that some of the older models of electric toothbrushes can be quite loud. After I made this video, I found out that the Oral-B iO is silent and makes no noise, but they had to add the noise when they manufactured it so people would know it was on! I think that would help the visually impaired, such as yourself. To be honest, I have never fully used the app. I think it is a little gimmicky, but they put the function in because they can, and there are people who like it. I hope you enjoy your new toothbrush when you get it! Have a great day, Holly 😊

    @mytoothbetold Жыл бұрын

    Hi Aidan :) I am so happy you like your Oral-B toothbrush! The best way of teeth whitening is in the dental office and performed by a dental professional. However, that can be expensive, and there are take-home teeth whitening strips that can be used that are extremely effective. My favourite is amzn.to/3HaYN5p (Crest Whitestrips). The link is my affiliate link to Amazon. I would just check with your RDH that your teeth and gums are okay to use this product, for example, if you have any fillings on your front teeth, the filling will not whiten. I always recommend having a dental cleaning prior to teeth whitening :) I hope this is enough info for you. And thank you for your other comment about my kitty cat! I have three now! 😸

    Thanks so much! That’s a really good question about the size! They could be marginally larger, I haven’t checked. But I find it’s the same with brushing and I’m fine with reaching to the back. Let me know how you find it if you end up getting one :)

    0:33 It's ok to get excited for an electric toothbrush! I also get excited for toothbrushes (both manual and electric ones) because brushing your teeth should be fun and not feel like a chore.

    the orabl b io series 9 just arrived via amazon 20 minutes ago and i bought some extra hard and soft brushes for it, I hope it works well. What I liked about it is that it has an ultrasonic mode of cleaning which I think the Phillips may not have correct me if I am wrong.

    Hey Dave 😊 hope you love it! I recommend using the soft brushes all the time, the soft bristles contour and bed around the teeth and gums better and will prevent erosion of the teeth and gums vs a hard brush. The philips sonicare is similar technology, but I like the action and size of the oral b. I think the iO is a the best of both worlds! Enjoy the brush!
