It’s when Nick finds Travis and Chris; and Nick try’s to help Travis, but Travis says Chris needs his father rn and takes back the Knife from Nick. I always felt that had Nick despite Travis‘s wishes decided to stay with the two that it could’ve been a great family dynamic story where Travis would still try to get through to Chris and Nick would be there as well as his Surrogate son who has gone through a similar downward Spiral with his past addiction and can relate to What Chris is going through. Also I think it would build upon those character moments of Chris and Nick bonding on the Abigail earlier in season 2 as Step Brothers. Now when it comes to those groups of guys I believe that story arc still happens but Nick is there too to save Chris when he leaves with them. The car crash scene doesn’t happen in the series of events but instead would replaced with the cartel highway scene instead. Brandon and Derek try to negotiate but then get shot leaving Nick and Chris to fend for themselves in the Wilderness and basically the rest of the storyline would continue with the standalone Nick episode but it would be a awesome episode of 2 brothers Struggling to survive in post apocalyptic Mexico Before Nick teaches Chris the walker guts trick And they both take out the cartel and end up getting found by Luciana and El Colonia.

I see Chris differently than most. I relate to his confusiom and attempt to ground his sense of justice, such as filming the protest in the begining. I think that he is an autistic Lizzie. And i say that being autistic and struggling very hard in my youth to understand and feeel any sort of belinging. Had he been my character I would have had his bond with Daniel Salazar grow. He tetyers him to reality and teaches him survival, but also shows kindness to him , relating to Chris losing his childhood like Daniel did but in a different way. Chris may have still killed the prick on the boat but Daniel would have scolded him and tried to teach him control. Madison would have worried about Chris' mental state and brought it up with Travis but comforted Chris. Because she of ALL people understands killing someone horrible out of anger. As Daniel teaches and bonds with Chris it stirs up his past but tries to keep it in check. But Chris starts to learn about Daniel's past bit by bit. He confesses at a dramatic point that he killed the man in the plane wreckage. That he begged him and it was horrible, but when the 'prick' egged him on he knew he could kill him because he had before, and he is wanted to. And it flashes to him killing the prick, as he pulls his gun to shoot him he sees the faces of those on the airplane, the man begging for death, the sickness, his mom being put down...the anger the pain and wanting to be strong. *Bang* Daniel keeps his secret at least for now, and tells him we will do better. Travis and Daniel have alot of tension between them because Travis doesnt want a torturer (or whatever he thinks Daniel is) influencing his son. And Daniel is angry at travis because his way confuses the boy, will make him weak and get him killed.. I dont know entirely where the story would go, but Daniel and Chris at some point would be seperated from the others and trying to survive on their own . (Maybe after the fire or some other big event.) Amd Travis would think he had failed his son and his son was dead. Chris was a charactrr that needed guidance and understanding and he got neither from all the strong people on that boat who should have stepped up. Hell even Madison could have bonded and infuenced him more....waste of potential is an understatement.

Rick Grymes was almost irreplaceable as a protagonist. The only one, who could've taken over after writing Rick off would've been Carl, as he's Rick's legacy and got some mayor character development since the very beginning when he was still a young child. Daryl and Carol are great side characters, but they fail horribly as protagonists, and so does most of the remaining cast.

The fact that Scott Gimple believed that the direction of the show had to rerouted to something new with NO PLAN whatsoever truly, always, surprises me. Let's not also forget that he called the first three seasons "great television" and that people didn't need to watch the earlier seasons which, combined with the absolute shift in direction, I have found very offensive. All of it was changed. The direction, story, screen tone, heck even the intro ost and title card, completely alienating the strong loyal fanbase of what was supposed to be a show independent of the interconnected titles of the franchise. It's beyond me as to how Gimple did not support Erickson and his writers, especially how they pulled it off in Season 3. At this point, the only way as to how FTWD can matter as a show is if the characters show up in future spinoffs otherwise, it will have all been for nothing and for what, just so Morgan and Dwight and his toxic btch-a$$ girlfriend can make references to events and characters from the main show are you kidding me? Let me also add, clearly Gimple and AMC did not care about FTWD, writing-wise. Erickson's FTWD is simply way better in many ways than Ian and Andrew's FTWD, and Ian and Andrew got to work on FIVE SEASONS! Fck sake man, in the TV industry, this show has got to be the epitome of colossal wasted potential, I cannot be convinced otherwise.

@dylansturm80657 күн бұрын
I agree on the wasted potential. Ftwd season 3 is my favorite out of any twd series. I like to imagine what ftwd would have been if Erickson stayed show runner. Also don't get me stated on these shows killing off or writing off likeable characters. Jake Otto and the native American duo should have stayed around. Killing Travis was a big mistake. Killing Nick was a mistake. The new showrunners had an opportunity we will never get in running a prime time franchise and then nose diving it into the ground.
@DAV1D-lk7wp6 күн бұрын
@@dylansturm8065 I agree, I would like to point out that Frank Dillane (Nick) asked to be written off and Michael Greyeyes (Walker) did not want to return becuase he said, literally, “I’ve lost the sense of it being the show I had first loved.” When it comes to Justin Rain (Crazy Dog), I’m assuming he held on to the same sentiment as Greyeyes. To me, the only flaw Season 3 had was the death of Travis but I can understand that Erickson wanted to do that to have more opportunity early on to create a larger rift between Madison and her kids.

Whats up with the spoiler in the thumbnail??
We lost Carl Grimes and Nick Clark for THIS!🤢🤮
Rick Grymes was almost irreplaceable as a protagonist. The only one, who could've taken over after writing Rick off would've been Carl, as he's Rick's legacy and got some mayor character development since the very beginning when he was still a young child. Daryl and Carol are great side characters, but they fail horribly as protagonists, and so does most of the remaining cast.
I'd love to see a governor comparison between comics and TV show! And love these kind of videos man!
Love Nick like you do, FTWD missed him so much. Just a constructive critic, maybe the videos will benefit being like 15/18 minutes long and showing different scenes from behind related to what you're saying and putting some clips in the middle like at the beggining. Amazing channel and great effort, loving so much watching this!
Amazing content man. Really loving your videos! I hate Morgan with all my soul, such a boring and hateful character that ruined TWD and then FTWD. The writing for him is so bad, his decisions are painful, his attitude is unbereable and everytime he appears is the worst.
Thank you man, agreed he just is such a predictable character to watch unfortunately
Morgan sucks rotten eggs!
Morgan sucks rotten eggs
Yeah it’s so annoying to look back and see the missed potential in my eyes FTWD ended in the dam season 3 finale
To me, the only flaw Season 3 had was the death of Travis but I can understand that Erickson wanted to do that to have more opportunity early on to create a larger rift between Madison and her kids.
riggs wasnt a good enough actor to carry the show on his own. but they should have kept carl alive and recast him after the time skip imo.
I remember when this episode aired, man I was so MAD. I failed to understand how a season OPENING, neglected it’s main cast only giving them 30 seconds of screen time. Like you said this would have a been a great episode, if it was it’s own television series. Morgan and new characters, not overshadowing character we spent 3 seasons caring about.
Literally the writing neglected the main characters we didn’t even see how they ended up in Texas it made no sense!
@@theohuntt FOR REAL! Or what really happened after the dam, how they found each other again, etc… Ugh, I’m still disappointed !
If it was its own tv series it still would have sucked that half of fear was so boring. Especially that episode with the crying baby, end up muting it and watched it with subtitles on instead.
We lost one of the most interesting characters in the franchise in nick but we got to see Morgan take a dump I guess
Hahahahaah so true this comment has made me laugh 😭😭😭
Yea a real shitshow you could say.
After they killed Nick I hated those flashbacks with him. What was the point? He was dead anyway?
Literally it felt so pointless!
How are you only 500 subs ? Seriously your content is so good i'm impressed ! The narration, the subjects, the music, everything feels soo smooth
Thank you so much, that means a lot!
While dude stands out. Most of it's been done 40x over. Not taking away from him...I watched all of it, an I hated the spinoff that was fear, an pretty much all the spinoffs after.
When they announced that there will be TWD character going be in FTWD as a crossover. I was expecting Abraham Ford to be there since he was in the area of Texas and FTWD was still in early years of the apocalypse. But all that went out of the window when it was announced to be Morgan. I would’ve loved to see Abraham again even if it was just for one season. Just sucks that they done a major time jump just to bring in Morgan.
Small correction, he didn't run from Atlanta, he ran from the Junkyard to Texas.
Forget two shows it killed the whole franchise
