WowAbstruse Appropriation is just Utter End from Khans block with 2 upsides. It has devoid so it gets around protection from white n black (not that protection shows up very often anymore but for older formats that helps) n u get to cast the thing u exile at any point in the future without neededing the right colours of mana. Power creep is insane.

Shilgengar + Solemnity. Sacrifice your entire board of creatures to generate six blood tokens, sacrifice those to the demon to bring them all back, and Solemnity prevents the finality counters to allow you to do it again.

crabomination still exiles a card from their hand even if it doesn't end up being the card u cast, so it's always a 3 for 1 unless they have no cards in hand, or you exile 3 lands

You mention that detective's phoenix can only bestow from the graveyard. It can bestow from the hand, and that can absolutely just send in a lot of damage out of nowhere from your hand.

Kosileks unsealing in eldezi looks disgusting. Creates board presence, Ramps and draws cards. Keeps you alive and fuels you. Going to be a tough one to beat.

Cedh has always had otks. Casual commander just generally has an unspoken rule that you don’t do that. Not really any reason for a ban.

A good way to think about the second sun enchantment is like having Wildreness Reclamation and a monarch. Interesting interaction though will be with sagas. If i'm not mistaken, sagas will add a lore counter, since you had an extra draw step. That will probably confuse lots of people.

I think you're misunderstanding Abstruse Appropriation. You can only use colorless mana as if it were any color to cast the exiled spell. So if you're black/white and all you have are plains and swamps, and the card you exiled isn't white/black, then you can't cast it.

I agree, it definitely shouldn't be number 2 on the list. If you're behind on board and their best thing is a 2/2 flyer, thats what you get from the spell. And, as you say, you need colorless to cast the spell, so if its multicolored then you need those colors or more than one colorless source to cast what you removed

I don't think it's worth mentioning. Between things that create eldrazi spawn and mana rocks that tap for colorless I feel like you can easily build around it if you don't have wastes.

I'm actually a bit surprised titan's vanguard didn't at least get an honorable mention. I think I'd first pick it over even some of the cards in your top 10. Also I'm a bit lower on abstruse appropriation cause sometimes it's gonna be tough to actually cast the thing you exile cause neither white nor black is particularly great at producing colorless mana.

Genku seems like better Wrath protection than a bomb. It's never bad but mid game a creature that dies and makes a 1/1 or a 2/2 is decent. Wraths are Bru rare in limited.

Nizzahon is definitely right about orim’s chant. While people think of it as a time walk, they still untap and draw, meaning you are always going down a card and if they have any abilities or instant they can play you’re essentially just holding up a 2 mana fog, which is awful. In constructed it’s used to protect combos, which there generally isnt in limited.

I love how Energy Flux is #3 when it's a card I NEVER see in Commander, it's very much the type of card you fear if you know about, most Commander decks love their artifacts! I will never forget losing a game because it got milled when I was planning to tutor it up on the next turn, that's life! It's also amazing how few old Enchantments are on the list.

After the "beginning post combat main phase" resolved, would it still continue into the second main phase before end step? The postcombat main phase still has to be completed and shouldn't be bypassed through shadow of the second sun effect. Very confusing 😅
