    I hate finding stuff like this, you cant code any of it as it falls under PAT testing. However I always list it as an observation, with me though if i see that level of work, i definitely look harder at the whole onstall, nice find

    Did you have to take the kitchen out too? Or just work around it??? Also, bring back Enya! 😜

    @@JBE I’ve got a TP XL, MB and MB3. Plus OC170. All my other stuff is Velocity. I really think mixing and matching veto and velocity is the way to go as they offer quite different things. Re Tech MCT I was looking for a small call out bag that would fit fluke T90 and clamp meters etc. lots of bags are either massive or too short. Just subscribed - going to watch back some more of your reviews. Cheers! 🫡

    So your just essentially plugged into an outside socket into the CU? That would make my life a lot easier 🤔 I'm only considering 2 led batten lights and maybe 3 or 4 double sockets same as yours. Think I'm going to go that way for now 👍

    I'm not an electrician but I'm also not useless so I'll be doing the majority of my workshop wiring myself. Only concern is getting the 6mm armoured cable into the house and connecting it to the main CU😳😂

    As a DIY-er, the Logic Plus Rapid Fix from MK 13 amp double pole 2 gang socket is one of the worst I've used. Having pushed the cables in properly on open levers, then pushing the levers fully down, the cables would often be loose so that I could pull them out again. I eventually got them to fit so that they would not pull out, but I've lost my confidence with these and have gone back to the screw fix connections. Disappointed because I've always trusted MK and paid the extra for what I thought was good quality.

  • @JBE
    @JBEАй бұрын

    Yes, unfortunately MK are not the trusted quality manufacturer we all thought they were. They've been bought out years ago and now all their products seem to have dropped their standards! I fit an MK consumer unit about 6 years ago and it was a horrible experience.

    You don't need to rewire just downrate the circuit. EICR's are not about safety they're about making money otherwise they'd be mandatory in homeowners homes too. The rental sector is easy pickings for cowboy electricians.

    Can't help but think the aluminium rods are potentially wasting space which could be used to store that little bit extra. (they could have reinforced the corners with stronger plastic)

  • @JBE
    @JBE2 ай бұрын

    I thought the same and wondered why so much protection was required at the cost of actual usable space.

  • @JBE

    In the UK we can only get the Black Milwaukee Packout boxes. We can't get the Red boxes! You could try ordering from a UK online shop and they might ship it to you?

    @@JBE yeah, thanks I googled it right after I messaged in here lol. You guys are lucky and get the better one. I already have a red one but I'm tempted to fly up there and buy a black packout. Take the top 2 parts as carry on and bottom one check out baggage. I wish they made the Milwaukee 61 inch Work bench that was blacked out with red handles as well. This is where Husky beats them. They offer many different sizes and styles and colours.

    The older (brown) one's pockets look a lot sturdier/shaped than the blackout version. I just started using the TP4B blackout recently, to replace my 20+ year old Occidental Leather elec. belt bag. Nice to have the option to use the handle or put in on a belt. Also, the metal loops are great for clipping on bit holders, etc.

  • @JBE

    Apart from the colour they're identical, it really does come down to personal preference at the end of the day. Is this your first Veto bag?

  • @stringlarson1247
    @stringlarson12473 ай бұрын

    @@JBE First TP4. I have the TP3 for small stuff. The TP3 is the grey/brown, and like your old TP4, the pockets along the back are more squared off then the TP4 'blackout', tho the material is a bit more hefty on the 'blackout'. They make great stuff. Should last well past my expriation date. I'm doing fixes/upgrade work on old homes these days for elec., plumbing, etc. these days and need to have flexible kit as well as look clean and professional as the 'jobsite' can be in someone's pricey home.
