Aww thank you so much, you're so kind! :) That means a lot to me <3 I think I used alcohol markers (ohuhu) on the left page and waterbased markers (crayola supertips) on the right, I'm not sure though ^^'

Oh wow I love this whole sketchbook especially the animals! What sorts of mediums do you use as well as alcohol markers? 😊
Thank you so much! :) I'm glad you like it. Basically every kind of pen and marker I get my hands on :D I also like colored pencils, brushpens, paint markers, gel pens/ballpoint pens etc. I love the combination of alcohol markers and colored pencils. I try wet media like gouache or watercolor from time to time and usually enjoy those too, but they are definitely not my comfort zone :D

Whenever I can’t seem to think of anything i want to draw, I find that searching for new and interesting aesthetics, animals, and natural phenomena usually get my creative juices flowing again. And for the food-themed animals, how about a leaf-nosed bat or a lion fish with a bowl of salad?

Nice chickens , you can draw frogs in the same way , but drawing is very personal each one draws what he loves , things are in your house , in your garden , around you anywhere , pair of shoes , trousers , vases , fowers , people , anything you see and you like . Amicalement

I suggest a page of invertebrates, like slugs and snails! Just squiggly lines are so much fun. Personally Ive long since losty fear of blank pages, so it is possible. I personally simply struggle with completing a sketchbook cause I either get bored of it, or it ends up falling apart due to how rough I can be with them.

Maybe it’s because I didn’t fill many sketchbooks yet. But I totally get what you mean, I also sometimes get bored of them and then force myself to push through and honestly my last one was close to falling apart too 🙈 I fixed it with washi tape 😂
heyy, just gotta say that those drawings are so pretty, like, the chickens feel almost cozy, lol. Soo, I caught that you were asking for ideas and I really wanted to share some.😸 Maybe fill a spread with a lot of plants, kinda like a rain forest and the plants are many colors, not just green and blue. Also make like a urban sketch and then drawing some silly things on top with an opaque medium, such as acrylic markers or simply acrylic paint. Master studies are great, tho, they keep you really focused and also give you a fun time. Character design it´s pretty fun as well. Some only-markers portrait drawing is nice for challenging yourself. Choose and paint a pic of a landscape that's in your camera roll that brings to you really nice feelings or just take a stroll around the park and paint a place you find pretty is really fun too! Idk, these are just things I find fun to do and do in almost all my sketchbooks, so, hope it helps!!

What's YOUR motivation to take your art more seriously? :)
Hey Laura! My best tip is to be part of a group who also likes creative things, and with whom we can challenge each other, encourage each other, etc. Since joining a creative Discord, I have lots of friends online to share my art with, and I find it much more motivating than when you're alone.
Hey Alexandra! That sounds WONDERFUL! :) It's actually kind of a dream of mine to build a community like that too, since I don't have any irl art friends - my friends just aren't that interested in art stuff so I need my youtube channels to ramble about art all the time :D

I found you first through your bujo channel but I appreciate your deeper dive into your art journey/practice here 👍 and I did a social media detox for 6 months the last half of last year. It was the best thing for my art practice..ever! I did more art study, sketching and reading (mainly graphic novels which is key for picture illustrator) and I watched a lot of animation and went to museums etc to fill up my creative storehouses. Going back to social media, I did it very slowly and selectively too. It’s does wonders for combating art block. thanks for sharing 🫶🏼
Ahh thank you! <3 I'm glad you're interested in my art content too! :) Wow, 6 months is IMPRESSIVE! That sounds amazing! I don't think I could do 6 months :D Even though I know now how great it is for my art! Definitely want to do it again and maybe a little bit longer too :) And I 100% agree, art block was no problem at all during this time, I definitely felt more inspired than usual! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences :)

Thank you! 🥰 previously I thought it would add a nice personal touch if I’d draw everything (the fonts) myself, but in the end, the ones I’m using now take less time and are easier to read on the small thumbnail pictures I guess 😅
Ein Detox habe ich auch noch nicht gemacht. Vor einigen Jahren habe ich mich bewusst gegen Facebook und Instagram entschieden... Ich schaue dir echt gerne beim Zeichnen zu.
