Make it so - is a little bit of everything as long as I'm making something. Golden Era Hondas, Arcades, and other Retro inspired projects so far. A mix of how-to's with some light storytelling.
If you run into issues with highspots and "oilcanning" (the metal being stretched), I recommend using a shrinking disc. It worked very well for me and is more forgiving than acetylene torch and hammer.

The speedometer sometimes the solder on the back get dry and you need to carefully reflow the solder. If that doesn't work you can just replace the speedometer with another one it's just 3 screws

I don't know how many times I've ridden those trails. Since the early 70's when I was 13, nothing but trees for the restrooms. When 13 went out Tejon trail got lost had some hikers tell me go that way which was Pirute creek. That trail was frightening. Getting to Gold Hill road was the happiest day of my life. Still remember that ride to this day. My first experience being lost and sweating Gas on my way to big for pre puberty Bultaco 250 Pushang. Had a steel 1 gal gas can bungee'ed to the front forks.

Where is The Crankshaft Sensor on This Motor? When You Take The Crankshaft Bolt Off, Which Way Does It Loosen?

I think the crankshaft sensors on these motors are actually a signal that comes from the distributor. I never took apart the bottom end on this motor so I don't have experience with the crankshaft bolt.

I can't really tell a difference between 240p and 480i since I haven't compared them directly. The biggest difference here is the RGB output from the Pi to the Component input of the TV which makes the image much sharper and clearer and the native scanlines of the TV much more pronounced than if you were using Composite input.

Your 1st distributor is an OBD0. It only works on OBD0 ecus. The one installed is an OBD1 and or OBD2 distributor. OBD1 and OBD2 distributors only work ob ODB1 and OBD2 ecus ONLY. Check your ecu. Plus OBD0 distributors are really different in internal parts compared to OBD1 and OBD2 distributors. OBD1 and OBD2 distributors are same internally. THOUGH MOUNTINGS ON OBD0 and OBD1 & 2 are the same, it wont work well. For it to work correctly, match the correct ecu with the correct diatributor

Both of the distributors in this video are OBD0 and so is my ECU. If I had an OBD1 ECU by mistake I would have needed a conversion harness to connect it to the wiring harness which I didn't.

Great to hear! I would recommend as a first step replace all the suspension bushings with Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings. I did that to my CRX when I first bought it and it made it feel like it was brand new again. I have a video showing how i did this on my EG Hatchback if you're interested.

Ive used vaseline on valve cover letters before when painting so maybe it would work for you on the H. Or maybe add a tiny bit of vaseline on the spots where it leaked paint and maybe itll help seal it better. Great job! Love the videos. Keep it up

I just ran into your build tonight and I watched all 20 parts so far. I have to say that this is what I think about when someone mentions building a Honda. I have a 2000 Civic ex coupe that I want to restore and also a 2005 EP3 that I drove up until recently that my daughter wants when she turns 16. Your build has done more than given me the inspiration to tackle both vehicles by myself and just do it and not focus on how long it takes. I have a Integra and would love those exact rims on it. I’ve been researching and noticed the rims won’t clear the brake calipers. What size spacer do you recommend? And love the content! Very good work you got going on!

Thank you so much! I'm really not sure about the Integra brake caliper. I assume those are larger than the stock Civic calipers. I'm using a 1in offset wheel spacer to get these wheels more flush with the fenders but don't know if that would fix your caliper clearance issue.

For my old ‘90 CRX (same wheels) I used red vinyl (for wrapping) to fill the center cap H. It was back when I was a ricer but it was minimal effort and it lasted as long as I had the CRX. P.S. I love all your updates and your hard work… seeing your progress always motivates me on my current projects!

I'll be on the lookout for those Vinyl decals next time! I think Honda "reversed" the blade direction between 89 and 90. I have them mounted as they're stamped on the back of the rims for R & L. I'd have covered the logos with painters tape, then use an x acto blade to cut the outline of the logo on each cap. After you're done, you just peel the tape up.

For my old ‘90 CRX (same wheels) I used red vinyl (for wrapping) to fill the center cap H. It was back when I was a ricer but it was minimal effort and it lasted as long as I had the CRX. P.S. I love all your updates and your hard work… seeing your progress always motivates me on my current projects!

Glad you found a good solution! Trial and error is part of the process that makes it fun....after it's done! Haha. Are you going to leave the direction of the wheels that way? It's "backwards" from the standard direction.
I'll be on the lookout for those Vinyl decals next time! I think Honda "reversed" the blade direction between 89 and 90. I have them mounted as they're stamped on the back of the rims for R & L. I'd have covered the logos with painters tape, then use an x acto blade to cut the outline of the logo on each cap. After you're done, you just peel the tape up.
I should have tried that first for sure. I'll do pretty much anything to avoid masking stuff with tape it seems.
