Make it so - is a little bit of everything as long as I'm making something. Golden Era Hondas, Arcades, and other Retro inspired projects so far. A mix of how-to's with some light storytelling.

    If you run into issues with highspots and "oilcanning" (the metal being stretched), I recommend using a shrinking disc. It worked very well for me and is more forgiving than acetylene torch and hammer.

    The speedometer sometimes the solder on the back get dry and you need to carefully reflow the solder. If that doesn't work you can just replace the speedometer with another one it's just 3 screws

    It's the Adam Sandler effect. I would argue that Wedding Singer is his best film. For me it's just a matter of when it came out and how I first watched it. For me VHS tends to be 80's and very early 90's stuff. Sandler is on the cusp of DVD.

When 13 went out Tejon trail got lost had some hikers tell me go that way which was Pirute creek. That trail was frightening. Getting to Gold Hill road was the happiest day of my life. I’m eager to try this with a pi! Thanks for showing the cable and converter. Mostly I’ve been pushing 480i from a computer to a crt. I was wondering if you could tell a major difference when doing 240p instead of 480i?

  • @MakeItSo
    @MakeItSo2 ай бұрын

    I can't really tell a difference between 240p and 480i since I haven't compared them directly. The biggest difference here is the RGB output from the Pi to the Component input of the TV which makes the image much sharper and clearer and the native scanlines of the TV much more pronounced than if you were using Composite input.

    Your 1st distributor is an OBD0. It only works on OBD0 ecus. The one installed is an OBD1 and or OBD2 distributor. OBD1 and OBD2 distributors only work ob ODB1 and OBD2 ecus ONLY. Check your ecu. Plus OBD0 distributors are really different in internal parts compared to OBD1 and OBD2 distributors. OBD1 and OBD2 distributors are same internally. THOUGH MOUNTINGS ON OBD0 and OBD1 & 2 are the same, it wont work well. For it to work correctly, match the correct ecu with the correct diatributor

  • @MakeItSo
    @MakeItSo3 ай бұрын

    Both of the distributors in this video are OBD0 and so is my ECU. If I had an OBD1 ECU by mistake I would have needed a conversion harness to connect it to the wiring harness which I didn't.

    I just ran into your build tonight and I watched all 20 parts so far. I have to say that this is what I think about when someone mentions building a Honda. I have a 2000 Civic ex coupe that I want to restore and also a 2005 EP3 that I drove up until recently that my daughter wants when she turns 16. Your build has done more than given me the inspiration to tackle both vehicles by myself and just do it and not focus on how long it takes. Proper build and restore so far I for one appreciate you taking the time to document it all. Thank you brother.
