Nice solution! Way simpler than what I thought I was going to have to do.

That's all fun and games when you show the controls of the player. But what if you use a custom next button? In any case, great video and thank you for it!

It’s almost the same, you change the state of the button from disabled to normal.

"Fantastic" masking trick video? I think "fantastic" is too tame a word to describe this video. Thank you so much for this INCREDIBLE, AWESOME and OUTSTANDING video! :-) Well done, mate!

it's 2024 and the 'set to normal' bug is still there (when I wanted an object to go from hidden to normal when a group of pictures were all normal). Your solution worked for this also.

I cant help my self watching your videos. The clarity of instruction is insane ...Thank you so much from Aotearoa, New Zealand. Would you expand on this video and do one for creating a pdf form from answers in storyline

  • Ай бұрын

Thank you for the kind words 🙏🏻 For the PDF export I suggest looking at the forums and taking a sample from there and adapting it. ChatGPT can help you with the code.

I love it! The way you add on one interaction after it seemed you were finished makes the lesson segmented instead of overwhelming, and playful instead of boring. Excellent delivery style. And for those who wanted you to go more slowly, I say, "Just slow down the video speed, turn on close caption, and/or read the transcript." Perfect! Oh, and nice background music too. . .

Nejc, I repeat myself (and will repeat myself in the future :-): Absolute great tip. That's one of your admirable skills: to reduce (seamingly) complex matters to their core and then provide a (nearly) one-size-fits-all solution. To find the shortest way through a maze requires a lot of experience. Thanks again for sharing your impressive experience.

You’d need to track a number variable. I suggest you watch this video to get some details about the approach - kzread.info/dash/bejne/g316r7OhlM_Hm5c.htmlsi=GAfOkvORDPR048Xl

@NejcZorgaDulmin Thank you for this knowledgeable video. I am facing difficulty in implementing 2nd example of a women coming in between two masking areas. I have created both the mask as you have shown. But for second mask, it's not working. 2nd mask is taking the first part of the image only. Can you please let me know what mistake i am doing?

  • 2 ай бұрын

I think there’s a bug if you copy paste the object with the background fill. Create the 2nd object from scratch and it should work.

Great video, as always, and useful. It would been nice though, if it could have been used for an x-ray effect. Too bad it doesn't update in real-time. In that case it could be one image as a background and another one as foreground. But for a look-trough effect, a larger draggable black png-image with a hole in would do the trick.

  • 3 ай бұрын

Yes, the PNG trick has been around for a while :) One way is also to create a rectangle with a circle gradient and have on of the colors be 100 % transparent.

Yay! A new video, been waiting. I forget, are you currently integrating LLMs with voice chat into storyline? Just wondering if I get stuck during future development if Story Audit is a potential option for (paid) support? Not many clients are looking for this so far but I expect it to be requested more and more

All right, Nejc. Had some self-study time today and just found you. I had no idea about this anchor thing. I just either didn't use the idea of "all of the above" or started writing "all of these" as a stopgap. I literally just slapped myself in the forehead and shouted "Are you kidding me?" Even though I agree that hotspots are better in terms of visibility for developers, I'm one of those people who prefers invisible shapes. And that's because I can change the state of shapes with triggers (to hide / unhide) , which is something I can't do with hotspots.

  • 4 ай бұрын

Yes, I would also do that with invisible shapes IF needed. But for a simple block like that, I'll always pick a hotspot.

In the video you mention a function of importing states to avoid doing it one by one. Do you have more information?

When you edit states, there's an image button than can enable you to import a set of images as states.
