    The Bible is clear- The people of Acts 8 believed THE GOOD NEWS about the kingdom and the name of Christ (v12). Then it says Simon ALSO believed. Believed what? In the name of Christ! He believed the correct doctrine to be saved. He was a new Christian. Of course it will take time to learn to walk with Jesus! Of course he will still battle pride! Of course he still has his old man with him! Just because you are saved doesn’t mean you experience freedom over bitterness and bondage immediately! It takes time to grow! Also, Simon didn’t say he believed- the inspired writer of Acts said he believed. Simon could have nothing to do with the work of the church until he turned away from thinking the Spirit could be bought. If he continued in this thinking he could even face death just like Ananias and Sapphira. I ask people to pray for me all the time! Adrian Rogers was seeing whatever he was looking for. He didn’t want Simon o be a believer because it troubled him that a believer could behave so badly. He is completely ignoring what the scripture said- that Simon was a believer!

    The songs capture perfectly how the vast majority of Christians are on this planet. And when I say vast, I'm talking about 99.999999999999999999% of Christians.

    When we forgive, we are free to fly in joy, to live a joyous life, not having to drag the heavy luggage of blaming, judging, unforgiveness with us all the time because it is a pain to carry it wherever we go, even in our...sleep! When we forgive others, especially our parents, we will not commit the same sins, mistakes that they did because we do not focus on their mistakes anymore. What we focus on all the time will become our characters. The bible said : where the heart( mind) thinks, the man follow. Even if we do not like their mistakes and we think they are wrong, we will end up doing what they did, being like them. The only way to be free from that curse is to forgive them, let them be free from your unforgiveness and from your judgmental mind. And guess what? You will be the amiable, loving , kind, just, harmonious person that you want to be, not being haunted by your parents or others' mistakes anymore. God bless you all.

    Pre-trib rapture theology makes Christians weak, and tickles their ears. Most of Western Christianity does not want their faith tested, therefore, will follow anyone who can convince them they won't have to suffer. I've never seen such a divisive issue. Pre-trib rapture "believers" treat it as if it were dogma; if you don't believe it, you're not really a Christian. Ludicrous!

    i do not beleive in pretrib,totally agree its at end,just like revelations says and other biblical passages,study the Word with an open mind about when saints leave earth,also am not a hebrew roots follower but their is an excellent video by 119 ministries called testing the pretrib theory.they go thru and show passage after passage showing evidence of post trib,vert informant,use to be a pretribber but studying scripture thoroughly showed saints will go thru tribulation,yet Christ promises do not fear,He will get us thru it,that is what i stand on in faith

    I would love to know how Hank's view correlates with the Feast of Trumpets. Rapture teachers love to use that feast to support their view.

  • @owensterry29
    @owensterry297 жыл бұрын

    Robert Macauley The preachers who use the Feast of trumpets as a basis for the mythical pre-trib rapture doctrine ignore the fact that the resurrection of the saints and the rapture will occur simultaneously with the resurrection of the damned(Matthew 25:31-46,Revelation 11:15-18)in addition to that, it's not going to be humans who sound the trumpet(the last trumpet )that announces the rapture, it's Angels. They beat the drum of Jewish feast because they cannot accept that the resurrection and the rapture takes place on the Last Day precisely when Jesus Christ himself said that it will happen(John 6:39,40,44 & 54)Hank Hannegraaf believes as I do that the Kingdom of Christ and the kingdom of Satan exist right now on this world(Matthew 13:24-43,47-50 & 2nd Thessalonians 1:7-10)So the idea that the trumpet mentioned in(1st Corinthians 15:50-54 & 1st Thessalonians 4:14-17)are connected with the Jewish feast of trumpets is not only farfetched, it's downright unbiblical.

    Are we to forgive people who don't ask us to forgive them? What if you tell someone you forgive them and they say I don't want it and I will continue to do things to hurt you. For Jesus to forgive us we need to ask him to.So why would we be required to forgive someone who did not ask us to. And say they do not want us to.

    +cooldog60 To forgive is to absolve the offender of any wrong-doing and to free the person of any punishment that was due them. You do not need them to ask for it.

    To forgive is to set yourself free from the curse of the fact that you will do and be like the offender in the future because your mind always focus on his sin. What you focus on , keep in your mind all the time, will manifest in your life. To forgive him is to do you favor: not to be like the offender. You will be free to be the loving, just person you want to be when you let go of the offenders' sins, mistakes from your mind and heart. You forgive for your own peace of mind and happiness. Life is tiring, exhausting when you always have to carry the heavy luggage of judging, blaming, unforgiveness with you, even in your...sleep. BE FREE.
