    INPP in France is a good place to start your research. There is also a school in Australia and South Africa. You need to find which one works best for you, cost and logistics wise.

    Hey one question, is sat diving usually done open cirquit or is it a closed system with co2 absorband etc.?

  • @binoyrod1280
    @binoyrod1280 Жыл бұрын

    It's a closed circuit. Mainly to conserve the Helium. So yes, CO2 is scrubbed out and O2 injected to make up the required percentage

    @@binoyrod1280 Okay, thanks for the info! That is what I was wandering, doing it OC would be hell of expensive but I dont see any wide loop hoses on the divers. So how is it done? Same concept as a CCR in Tec diving?

  • @binoyrod1280

    We use US navy diving tables. Not only are they very safe, some might say conservative, but common practice in the industry is to go to the next table for the actual depth. A good company will always follow these norms and is the reason you have relatively few cases of DCI in offshore commercial divers compared to SCUBA divers

    the easiest, shortest work for newbies is 50k a year but you can spend a lot of the year not working. the longer more remote work requiring vets can net you 250 to 500k a year

    The dive bell gets detached from the habitation module on ship. It stays pressurized to the depth they're working at and the send it down to the depth and then they divers can swim out from the bell.

    I have been diving for over 20 years in many different areas, IMO civil and sat divers are at the most risk. Sat for obvious reasons in this video and civil because in most cases zero viz with heavy equipment on the hard makes navigation on the bottom challenging for the divers. As in anything in diving communication with a sharp DPIC running the prime and subs is critical. As the saying goes “give the diver whatever he asks for except death”, stay safe men and stay alert, stay alive!
