Last time I backed something with Mega Cat was four years ago, the appropriately named Phantom Gear. Still waiting on that one. I can't give them any more of my money until that one shows up.
It looks very repetitive. I wouldn't pay money for it. I don't know if I would even play it for more than 5 minutes. I like old games, I like Sega Mega Drive 2, but I don't jump to every new game no matter how boring it is just because it's something new :)

So many hours spent on this and the dark forces 2 Jedi knight games and even more hours on Jedi knight 2 if only Disney would have done the sequel trilogy on that storyline Star Wars might not be in the dumps right now lol

Tekken TT was the reason I bought my PS 2 day one. Sadly I had to wait till day 2 to get my TTT copy, for some reason the Electronic Boutique (RIP) where I preorder my console didnt get any games the day of PS 2 launch.
It was my first game as well.

Tekken TT was one game that me and my friends had a blast with when it first launched. Good times!
Also when it comes to GTA VC… I was in 10th Grade, my best friend at the time grandfather took me to EB games to purchase it because my parents would never buy it. Got it day one and my mom was like how did you get this game with heavy discernment, but she knew she lost that battle to keep it from entering my PlayStation lol!!!
Theres so many good ps2 games. Ive done 5 parts to my ps2 collection and ive also done a top 15 best ps2 games that i thought were the best . John hancock you should check out the videos !!!

I just bought this game on Switch because its cheap at the moment, My advice is to stick to the Sega ages version, the new one seems harder and the new visuals and music lack the charm of the original.
You know with the new one you can switch back to the original at any time?
@@johnhancockretro I haven't worked how yet, That the game feels off too I suspect that wont solve, Its a pity as it looks like there was some love put into the remaster. I one of those who played the original on the SMS a lot when it came out, ( In other words middle aged lol) and the difference in feel is jarring. The Sega ages version however is spot on. Anyway you seem like a cool guy so I will give it another chance before it goes to the place games go when you erase them.

How is DBZ Ultimate Battle 22 a greatest hits? Along with being a terrible game I thought it sold extremely poorly as well

Why do all the shooters on Genesis need to have the ship move around instantly like in Thunder Force- why can't these new shooters from the indies have you start slow and then powerup the speed to what you like, as in Life Force or R-Type among lots of others. The instant movement makes it feel like you're just a developer using the controller as a tool to pick and place the asset somewhere on the screen too quickly - only you get penalized when it touches anything else. No inertia or momentum at all.

I'd love a Tad Corporation cartridge with all its 6 games. It's an easy cartridge that would cover the 100% of one single company. I don't quite understand why Atari cartridges become legacy while the new Super Pockets include one with Atari games. What happened here? I'm excited with Alpha too, but releasing arcade cartridges along with it that have several vertical oriented games is a little weird. Anyway, I don't know what model I'll get yet, one of them has too many Street Fighter games and the other one, too few. I have Street Fighter games in many other hardware, but the cabinet itself is beautiful, whereas the Mega Man one gives the custom modern bartop vibes, which isn't a good thing. On top of that, the other 4 games are great, but the Mega Man ones aren't what I'd call killer apps, at least for me. It would have been better, in my opinion, with Ghouls 'n Ghosts and Super Street Fighter II Turbo instead of both fighting Mega Man titles, but hey, that's what Evercade does: giving you some bottom of the barrel games in every cartridge (not physical in this case) so you may end up discovering a new favorite.

Wonder if they'll take overscan of CRTs into account... Looks like the HUD is right on the border and it'll probably be cut off if playing on a classic setup. Remember the same thing happening with Metal Dragon.

The Sega Genesis/Mega Drive is and was so good. That shooter looks amazing.
The original went public in a few locations, including Penny Arcade in Fresno, Ca. I played it, a lot. Total mystery for so many years, as to why it vanished never to be seen anywhere again.
Now is 49.99 as and you can add 1000 games 😮

the best genesis / neogeo like horizontal shoot m up game that was gonna be released is XYDONIA. it was a kickstarter and they already made 4 full levels but money was lost and the game wasn't finished. I am willing to put $25,000 of my own money in this project if somebody can finish that game. look it up, xydonia, it has the best 2d shooting gfx ever!!!!!
