Mainly Beatles related content (or Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, Ringo Starr) but also plenty of other rock/pop content.
I was the first KZreadr in the world to receive the John Lennon Plastic Ono Band 2021 box set for review, direct from Yoko and Sean, but I'm always free to speak my own mind in reviews!

Thanks Andrew, great review as always.
Listen to the lyrics of "Blackpool". Paul is clearly singing about women's size dimensions. And which sizes he prefers them in a swimsuit. 😊😄
“Let’s Love” was written for Peggy Lee and she released a fully realized complete version on a studio album.
So this is Jimmy McCulloch's album? No surprises there. He was brilliant. But even so, it makes sense that he never quite nailed the guitar solo on "My Love". Henry McCullough's solo on that is arguably the greatest guitar solo on any McCartney song. Not because it's difficult to play, but because it's so utterly unique and infused with McCullough's personal feel for music. Had Jimmy played it exactly the same way, it still wouldn't have sounded the same. He did better playing it his own way, even if it never quite hit the same heights, in my opinion.
Great job as always Andrew! Another release that I am fine with just streaming on Spotify. Love Bluebird the most ! FYI I think the version of 20 Flight Rock on Glasgow 79’ could be the finest that I have ever heard 😊.
Brilliant vocal on Let Me Roll It…
Did I miss it or didn't you mention that the Archive "Band on the Run" includes a DVD with almost an hour from "One Hand Clapping"? It was after all a film project.
in 1968 there was a band called wings u find theire only album on yout
I quite liked the bootleg - the official release is unspectacular...
I reckon the numbers in 'Blackpool' are to do with bingo, after all, Blackpool is known for it.
Excellent review, Andrew. For me, I love the Wings albums takes slightly more than the One-Hand Clapping, and there are exceptions like Soily and Live and Let Die. Take care.
Great review, Andrew! Have you heard any more rumors about a new McCartney studio album in 2024?
@@michaelmeo6250 Thanks! No more news yet...
Another terrible shit for you to stuck up your ass! Hope old McCartney goes to heaven soon
I absolutely loev Paul singing Baby Face - such joy and enthusiasm and why not? Paul always like different genres dating right back to the 1920's. John might have slagged it off as granny's music but Paul actually sings it really well with a lovely sort of loose fun. A roaring vocal with some nice brass element (real or keyboard). I think this is a ripper release - just so much fun with all that diversity. Packaging design is rather bland, maybe trying to look bootlegish - but the music is pure exuberant fun. I love the vibe of a band blasting it out having a ball. Brilliant.
Hello Andrew, I totally agree with you on most of the comments, this is truly a wonderful release! Some versions here are probably better then the previously released. Specially: Juniors Farm, Jet, Live and Let Die. Regarding Band on the run- my favourite is the live version from 1989. One negative thing for me though, I ordered the 2 vinyl version record from the McCartney website, but did not get the EP...But good that those songs are available for streaming then.
This sounds to me that Paul was running in his new band with a view to taking them out on tour around the world. Love this album so much....
Yawn! Watch what Fathom does! She posts great Beatles KZread postings! Very interesting indeed, really informative!!
@@nigelbaker5062 Great, enjoy watching that then.
Growing up in the 1970s any Wings release of anything is very welcome to me! Maybe Wings Over Europe should come out as a release now for those who missed out on the 71-73 box. Also, if Back To The Egg is dragging it's old feet I think a remix of the 1979 Wings Glasgow show should come out just like OHC. It would be great to have every Wings line up with a live album to represent their time in the band. I was lucky to see the last Wings tour and that was when Paul's voice was in pretty good shape but it was around then it was mildly on the decline.
Wings' set from "Concerts For The People Of Kampuchea" that same month, could also be released. And there's video to go with that.
Would love to see all of this. disagree with the decline part in 1979 he was still note perfect.
@@jameswilson7084 I spoke to Laurence Juber a few years back and he said that he hoped that all the Kampuchea footage would come out.
Excellent review. Mystery why it took so long to release this excellent live album. I especially love the rockers!
Hey. I've only listened to this album twice. I have the vinyl with the 7" single. It hasn't struck me yet like undubbed album. Give it time ..
Here in Brazil will be available on Universal Store only in September, long wait for mine to arrive
I believe it was John Lennon who originally played the intro to "Lady Madonna", in frustration as to how the song should begin.
The song you're thinking of is Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da
Cheers Andrew. I enjoyed the album and was wondering if the DVD session will be released. I have a bootleg version but would welcome a remastered DVD.
I love this record. We checked out "Soily" on our channel. This should have come out sooner!
Got the vinyl + EP love it. As everyone do hope Archive series isn't dead.
Thanks for another great video Andrew. I enjoyed this album, my little girl Esther sometimes asks for Jet in the car (she likes the "woo" bits). In terms of "more like this", I'd much prefer the Archive Collection to be completed. But if the AC is dead, hopefully we can get some releases like this to flesh things out (I'd love a Return to Pepperland release)
Is there a reason why Paul never released this album back in 1974 ? IMHO I prefer the Wings Over America version of Soily. Joe English is the perfect drummer for this.
Wings were originally filmed for a proposed TV show called One Hand Clapping and not an album release!
Sounds great 🎶 It could have been recorded yesterday.... 😉
It really narks me that the 7" single wasn't released on CD and only a very limited release on vinyl, I know it's on streaming + download but as I don't stream or download, I don't see why I should be deprived of it, just make it readily available for everybody on physical release!
I’m with you all the way on this. It still narks me that even The Beatles Love had additional tracks on download that weren’t on the CD / Album and have yet to be officially released. I always want physical releases and you should get all the tracks.
I think I've only now come to realize that Henry McCullough and Jimmy McCulloch are not the same person 🤦🏼♂️
😂 I still have a problem with which pronunciation goes with each of them
There is a bootleg called One Arse Crapping.
I thoroughly enjoy the album which sounds sharp and fresh, but don't think I'll ever love the art work and I do wish the packaging wasn't quite so bare bones😁.
love this album, I listened to it for the first time recently and was obsessed with it.
One Hand Clapping captures Wings as a hot band that are telepathic & tight. Certain songs like "Wildlife" really get a new lease on life. A great presentation for a great Paul & Wings album.
I too have had this 8 LP of ATMP for about a year and opened and played 2 days ago. It looks like in today's world it comes in a hard black box. I had this vinyl in the early 80s, and it came in a standard Record cover, not the hard black box.
Yoko money box
I was born when Billy Preston joined them at Apple studios. But I was a few years older in 1977 watching Elvis movies on BBC 2 and remembering when Elvis passed away.
Paul wrote this as a self-comforting song in the aftermath of Jane Asher having, understandably, ended their relationship. When John assumed the song was written about himself and Yoko, Paul corrected him and replied, ''No, it's about _me_ .'' He was reportedly very upset about the breakup. For example, in her book, Cynthia Lennon recalls the time Paul visited her shortly after Jane had left him: '' _Paul blamed himself and was heartbroken_ .'' In one of Jane's novels, there is a piece of dialogue between two characters, with one of them saying '' _Hey, Jude_ '' to the other. Even she knows what/who the song is really about!
I think that most fans agree that this album is at least TOP 3 of Beatles and big contender for one of the best albums ever. Classic, "clean" Lennon was almost at his peak. Just look at his contributions: main writer of: Nowegian wood, Nowhere man, In my life, Girl (4 masterpieces), Word, Run for your life (still really good song and what man doesn`t feel it sometimes?:)). He helped finishing What goes on, Michelle and Drive my car. Speaking of Paul, well these 2 mentioned songs are very good (Michelle vs Girl - deuce) but the rest? Well I really don`t see much rivalry here - John "won" this album with Paul. Clearly. Probably that was last time when John was seemed to be main leader of group. I guess after "Revolver", Brian's death, Lennon's withdrawal, the group's disintegration began
I must admit that Plastic Ono Band is absolute masterpiece and any other Beatle album is not as great as first Lennon attempt.

Wow! I have a copy of this on my wall, given to me many years ago by my sister in York. I didn’t know the history of it though.
Finally had time to sit down and listen to this World Cup. Thanks Andrew.
I'm a Paul /Wings late commer due to me being a John and George fan. I'm experiencing Paul/Wings music for the 1st time, and I thought I was collecting the Archive collection because the CDs have a white section on the left hand side of the CD cover with Archive collection written on the side. I had no idea those large booklet style existed? The bones material from what I have heard so far has looked healthy eg: Wildlife has more bonus tracks than the Album. Why haven't I seen what you displayed on your GREAT Video???
@@martintaylor769 You often won't see these deluxe editions on display in shops or being advertised as most of them are now long out of print.
Oh ok, thanks for your reply and great videos. You and Beatle Dustino Legends

I was inspired by your video & finally decided to bite the bullet & do this for my cds, dvds & blu rays. It’s going to take a while to buy enough covers but so far I’m super happy with the results.
Hi, Andrew. Any news on when we can expect part 2? I found part 1 very informative & helpful. Thanks!
