  A lot of people don't know that it's the law that one mile out of every 5 mi of interstate has to be straight for planes to land on for emergencies and also for military use

  Aviate, navigate, communicate. Would’ve been a lot faster if he’d just used “mayday” as well. Spent all that time saying “declaring an emergency” x3, when he could’ve called mayday, and declared his souls, fuel, and his intent to land on the highway in almost the same amount of time.
