Anyone still watching these comments and can help. When connected to the MS2 unit the tunerstudio sees the MS2 but it won't connect to it if that makes sense. Says not connected when loading a sample project.

Where is the timing mark? I don't see any references on the harmonic balancer or of the cover to align to. The video does not show what you are looking at.

Hello so here's my deal I'm not sure what I did but now I installed the new firmware for my pimpx ms3 and got this ( I GOT A ERROR CODE( off or SEMI-sequential does not make sence on rotary or 2 stroke-use full sequential-pin already in use by-a programable on/off input) I WANT TO ERASE EVERYTHING AND START FROM SCRATCH SO HOW CAN I FACTORY RESET AND START OVER AND I GOT SOME OTHER PROBLEMS BUT I NEED TO FIGUIRE THIS ONE BFIRST SINSE IT WONT CONECT TO FIX IVE TRIED FOR 3 WEEKS TO FIX ON MY OWN) I'm out of ideas here any help is much valued thank you
Have you contacted their support? We have products for your car that we fully support of course with a tech support team that's on it when you need us! But unfortunately that's not our product.
Soo you guys can't help me since it's not your product? It's like pulling teeth trying to get ahold of some1 a Stinger performance where I got it from I'm not to computer savvy it's got Ms3 1.5.1 and Tunerstudio I paid for if not thanks for your time.
I think I finally just figured it out
You need a driver video for Linux as well; any guys running a dash or Linux machine need the same info.
Let's say we are getting a good tooth log and good composite and no sync lost... what could be preventing me from getting spark plugs and injectors to fire. Also those checked out good in the test mode. this is on a megasquirt MS3 with expansion board and with a single tooth camshaft

if you create a new project when linking your computer to the ecu which is already tuned does it remove the tune as if you are creating a new tune or load your current tune and allow adjustments to be made
It will connect to your ECU, with the tune on the ECU intact, and allow you to save that tune to a file and continue to tune from there.
Glad to see you posting videos! Just wondering, for a MS2-gen2 a jumper on the main board had to be moved in order to load new firmware. Does this new method remove that step? If so, kudos! I don't like going inside the box any more than I absolutely HAVE to and not having to do that is a big plus. If that step is still necessary...oh well.
Yes it does eliminate that step! The only time you'd have to use the boot jumper is if you somehow had corrupt firmware, but in the real world that doesn't happen nearly ever, so you're good to go without the need to open the ECU!

Agree with Kennedy. Also Trasitioning to tuning and wiring was scary in the beginning with very little useful tech videos, or they are too drawn out. So everything helps even if the views are minimal. Thanks. I am a mspnp2 owner here for 85 22ret celica build.
