Pigs are very clean animals. They do not 'thrive' in a dirty area. Make sure they have a dry area and a watering hole to get clean in, My pig would keep himself warm and fly free with mud, but then always kept himself clean with a water bath. The area should be dry, as there can be parasites and worms where it is too wet. Going to check out some of your other videos. Very nice. God bless.
@@BitsOfThisNThat good info to share with others- ours live in a pretty big area where some spaces are muddier than others but also some shady and dry areas as well. This has worked well for ours thus far 💗 thanks so much- glad to have you here! God bless you as well! Hope you enjoy the other videos!
Sounds like we are in the same season of life. As homemakers, we are creating a legacy of prioritizing our families and all the blessings that flow from it. ♥️
Absolutely!!! The blessings flowing from it make all the hard days worth it 💗
We just bought 50 pounds of apples from a local orchard! Perfect timing!

Hello The Bluegrass Family hello anyway this is indeed very heartwarming and very wonderful and very beautiful and very adorable and this brings back such great memories of when I use to be a 90s kid and an early 2000s kid and I am a new subscriber as well:).
So happy you’re here :) we are 90s kids as well- so we get where you’re coming from! 💗 thanks for the love! 💕
Beautiful place my friend ❤
Thank you- we appreciate that 😊
I want to plant apple trees as well but hate how long they will take to start producing. I have read that if you plant dwarf apple trees they start producing fruit a few years sooner so I might go with those:)
I know- it’s kinda a bummer, but I’m sure in a few years we will be happy we planted them when we did :) you should definitely get you some dwarfs!!! We’ve got an apple orchard in our town that has been passed down for generations- I love driving by it and seeing how many apple trees they have, it’s so beautiful! An investment in the future 🌳
Hi Cassie, I stumbled upon your channel today. Your content seems to be exactly what I am looking for regarding inspiration in homemaking/homesteading:) I appreciate all the laundry tips but I do have one question, what are the boxes behind your clothesline? Are those for bees? :)
@@jennifermier7444 that is so wonderful to hear! 💗😊 it always makes my heart happy to know that it can be uplifting to others in some way- so thank you!!! Yes- those are horizontal bee hives that my Husband built- I think he was checking them out that day :)

This is so appreciated! I am a SAHGM and this reminder is very timely. I watch my granddaughter 4 days and 3 nights weekly and I forgot how much energy I needed. Taking care of God’s precious little ones is such a gift. Support one another
@@girlwithaplan1680 I’m so happy you’re here! 💗 it is definitely an exhausting season when you’ve got little ones to care for!!! But God helps us through those times, thankfully 🙏 it’s always good to share in our struggles and support each other 💗
I sooo needed this today. I’m new to the SAHM/Homemaker life and it’s been a tough adjustment going from working outside the home and gaining recognition to now feeling like no one notices what I do. What a sweet reminder that God sees all that I do and VALUES it, and he is the one sustaining me day after day. Thank you 🥹🤍
@@savannahgibsonmusic I’m so thankful that it came across your feed 💗 those days are not forgotten to me- and I feel it in my heart for other Mommas going through that season. Praying for you as you transition to this new journey and that you’ll feel Gods praise and presence during those difficult days- and the joy in the sweet moments that come with them 🙏 He absolutely sees us- and all that we do- and it is most valuable to Him 💕 you’re so welcome!!! But it’s His words not mine! He just found a way to speak them to you today.
Amen! We serve God by serving others. That’s extremely empowering, not condescending as the world may see it. It takes strength to spend your days doing tasks/chores that are less than glamorous but as you said, each one is an investment into those God gave us to love ❤

Awwwh thank you so much- that means a lot!!!!
I feel like I need this info but I’m not sure I completely understand what’s happening. Is this fermenting like for probiotics like kimchi? Or pickling? Or jarring for preserving a crop? I’d love to know what’s going on. I feel like I need this for my garden harvest.
This is fermenting- which will preserve the jalapeños. It is a mixture of salt and distilled water that is poured over top of the jalapeño- then a cabbage leaf is added to press them down a glass weight put on it and then the orange lid screwed on top allows it to naturally release gases. It is the same process for making sauerkraut from cabbage (if that helps) 😃
Once they have fermented we just place them in our refrigerator and they keep for a long time-we don’t can them.
Fermenting for what?
Dude is making pickled jalapeños.. am sure thats what he meant.
It is fermentation. You mix distilled water and salt together to make the brine and pour that over the jalapeños- place a cabbage leaf over top then we have a fermenting kit that includes a heavy glass weight that sits on top of the leaf and holds the jalapeños down into the brine mixture. You put the orange/red lid on that helps it release the gases. About 5-7 days they ferment and then they are able to be stored in the fridge 👍
@@TheBluegrassFamily and then what?
@@woahhesaid and then you’re able to add them into whatever recipes you like- like homemade salsa. The way we do ours- we have refrigerated them after the fermentation process, and they’ve kept find in our fridge for a up to a year.
Yummy, but more like info and a longer music clip will help your channel grow, if you want that
We will do our best to do a full length on how we ferment them- thank you 😄
@@TheBluegrassFamilycan you share here did you freeze the salt in the water?
No- we just added the salt to distilled water then poured it over the jalapeños 😊
@SEEtheREPLAY no we didn’t!

Awh that is awesome! I’m still new to Kombucha- but cherry is wonderful to add in :) I’ll do another video and show the process of flavoring it 💗
Would you please type recipe out, the bread looks so good. When I took a picture of the card, it didn't show the instructions.
Biscuit recipe?
2 cups self rising flour/ 1/4 cup crisco/ 3/4 cup buttermilk/ Start with flour- add in crisco with hands and mix/ make a well in the center of that mixture and pour in buttermilk- mix/pour out onto floured surface- fold/ then use a large mason jar with wide mouth to cut out large biscuits. Bake in greased cast iron- for 12 minutes :)
