We are out on the farm cleaning up our garden a bit after some storms blew through our area this past week. We are out in our strawberry patch daily- gathering strawberries- washing those and getting them in the freezer. Our laying hens have been very happy girls and we are still selling our fresh eggs here locally to a few families we know.
The flowers and vegetables that we have planted have grown tremendously! WE are more than excited about the coming harvest of our fresh veggies and we can't wait to share our freezing and preserving process with our fellow gardeners.
The meat chickens are more then half way through there time to process and we will be processing those the third week of June- we plan to film that and share it with y'all so stay tuned!
Dave has been on a bee catching spree and has thankfully lucked out and caught two hives recently- so we are more than happy about the day we get to jar up our very own honey.
I am in the kitchen cooking up some jalapeño cheddar cornbread- fried kielbasa and cabbage- making some red potatoes in the instant pot and creating my own Kombucha!
