  I believe max power @ 8500rpm and redline (even though it's not marked as so on the tachometer) is 9000rpm. I definitely wouldn't take it to 11!

  There is nothing BSA about it at all. and does not even look the part. I have a 1961 BSA golden flash, and I know which one I prefer. At least mine is British.

  Can you please explain in more detail how you moved the exhaust to get that last bolt out please ? Did you take off the springs by the shock and the one on the right front to loosen the curly bit of pipe ? Or did you loosen the nuts where exhaust meats engine ?

  It sounds nothing like a proper gold star people who think it does obviously have never heard an original. you cannot get the same sound from a high reving short stroke engine as you can from the older lower reving long stroke engines.

  No . I did do a throttle reset via my scanner but only as routine. It seemed fine as soon as I started the engine for the first time

  THANKS FOR THAT MATE!! AN HONEST 'LAYMANS' ASSESSMENT. HAVE JUST BOUGHT A 1997 VERSION WHICH WAS A JAPANESE IMPORT WITH 38K'S ON THE CLOCK. IT RESIDES WITH MY R1100S & A GOOD STABLEMATE IT IS TOO.

  Just shows how something hidden away but so crucial can be forgotten and neglected. My 2014 RSV4 Factory got stripped by me within months of ownership since 2020 and surely needed it. Aprilia Forums recommendation due to possible failure. Ive done the same to my 2017 RF within days of ownership since two weeks ago and surprisingly looked very good, but still I packed it with grease and slotted in a set of AP workshop's teflon/nylon washers to help keep water away. Most def this component should not be forgotten one bit. Cheers Sir👍🏻

  You are so so right. There must be so many rsvs 2 and 4 cylinders that need it . The will never get the suspension set correctly. They may think they have but it will be very lethargic cheers Rich

  Go the next stage mate, I got paranoid about it so stripped it and fitted grease nipples on dog bone and swing arm. I fitted new seals backwards to let excess grease out. Out side of the seals I put in suitability sized o rings which are very slightly squished on assembly. This keeps me the shite out. Now three times a year then grease gun comes out. Tip, pick your point to drill and tap carefully and give consideration to access and swing arm movement.

  Hi. Well they say 20 40 semi synthetic but I put in 20 40 fully synthetic. As long as it is T rated for bikes. What ever make.

  I would say that every nut and bolt plus would beed to be checked. It all depends how it was serviced prior. There is servicing and proper servicing.

  Also remember that the stator has 2 wires. Single phase. There are quite some changes fromm 1999 onwards. Just worth checking parts very carefully. The 1999 st2 has 3 wires from stator. 3 phase !

  Can you help me i have ducati st4 916 and bike dosent stay on correct idle and plugs getting black and i cheak ohms in crank shaft position sensor it shows 690

  @@Aikalz I don't know the 916 st4 but do you have a black rubber access cover on your ECU. On the st2 the is a small plastic adjustment screw that alters the mixture to a degree, oxygen levels. You turn it very carefully ether way to adjust fueling at tick over. ?

  The frame is good you have to do something to that plate hanger behind the tire Get rid of it is there an option for that plate hanger can you remove it and replace it

  Fist thing apart the Tank looks good...the rest of the bike looks nothing like a GOLDSTAR..and to say it sounds like one it doesn't no twitter? When you think it's built on a bike that is 20 years old that you can buy for about half the price.l wish BSA well but this bike will not cut it. When they picked the GOLDSTAR they picked a icon it's got to be better than this.

  Looking good and they took extensive care to keep the characteristics and the look. Great to see bikes that are diffrent from the masses, but i usually like smart and straight technical solutions instead of a lot of extra weight to make it look original. Verry intresting bike nevertheless and i hope they manage to ramp up the production to a healthy number, there is certainly a lot of intrest on the bike.

  Realize this is now an older video, but in case someone is using this for assembly reference, that outer tapered spacer is backwards on your new assembly and when you show how the parts go together on your carrier. The smaller end of the tapered spacer should be TOWARDS the bearing so it rides only on the inner race. Peace!

  There are lots of other bikes which have liquid cooled engine and don't use a big, cheap looking agricultural radiator, the plastic mock engine cases with rifle stickers! Really on a near 7 grand machine they couldn't come up with something better before production release, exactly how long are they going to stay on with weather and washing? Oh yeah and light? It's only 4kg lighter than the Intercepter, which is a twin
