What Is FORGE?
FORGE. is the brain child of three art students and long time collaborators from New York State. In essence, FORGE. is a quarterly submission based art magazine. Each issue will be a compilation of photographs, illustrations and words centered around a single topic. Topics will range from any noun, verb, or adjective and will be the focal point for each piece submitted. The magazine itself will include prints of each piece. At the moment, FORGE. is simply a developed idea that can hopefully become a reality with the help of a community of talented artists. The magazine will be completely produced, edited, and distributed by us.

I love Frankie Cosmos and I think Greta is an amazingly talented person. I met her when she was 4 but she obviously won’t remember. It’s a funny anecdote of life that I like to share. I was walking a small dog on the upper East side of NYC and I had to bring the dog back by 8am. Except I didn’t have a watch and probably not even a cell phone, or it had run out of battery. So the first person I saw on maybe E 86 street and who I could have asked the time to, was a gentleman who was checking if his little daughter was all right for school before parting way. I approached him and asked the time. Both he and his daughter turned around to me and he almost in a shy way replied he didn’t know it. The little girl smiled at me with the same exact vibrant class shown in this video interview. They were Greta and Kevin Kline. October 1998.
