Loved your video.. but what did you spray on the cups after the resin??
Thank you! I mist the resin with 99% isopropyl alcohol to pop any bubbles.
@@Luxinda thank you. I love your video. Do you have a video of how you prepared the cup with the paint? Would love to learn how to do that
I absolutely love watching your videos! Please come back and make more! ❤
Would love to hear what your doing and not that tinkling music
I wear a respirator when I'm using resin so I don't bother talking, especially since all I'm doing is exactly what you see on the screen: dropping alcohol inks onto the turning tumbler with no rhyme or reason where. There is no specific placement, it's whatever colors you want wherever you want to put them. That's why alcohol ink tumblers are some of the easiest to make for beginners. Thanks for watching!
Did you use all "gel" polishes? And did you use metallic micas made for resin or do you think the micah eyeshadow would work?
The nail polish was Color Craze sold at Dollar Tree, not marked “gel”, just cheap nail polish. The micas were intended for resin but are very similar to micas in eye shadow - either will work.
Metallic reacts differently than regular colors i have found. And quick dry and gel reacts differently than regular nail polish i have found out while playing around with them.
But gel polish reacts differently, than regular nail polish, for me.
I can’t wait to watch all of your videos, your successes, your fails, all of your projects and especially your sense of humor!!!😂
Thank you!😊
Enjoy your videos. You make it look easy! Thanks!
Thank you!😊
You know really need to wear mask for these mica powders and fine glitters. Protect airways nose throat and probably eyes.
Hi there! Would like to try it with a full wine bottle (to use as a gift). Do you know a kind of cup turner/spinning wheel which can clamp and hold the heavy bottle?
Great question! Honestly, I have never tried anything heavy like that. I did a quick search on KZread, and came up with this video for a product that will do what you want: kzread.info/dash/bejne/i2l2tq-gpsLcY5M.htmlsi=cgHaxDo-YYsKHClt Other than that, just experimenting with something or combination of things that would fit the bottle opening so tightly as to hold the bottle out straight, but I'm not even sure where I'd start trying to do that. I'm sorry I can't be more help! If you do figure out something that works for a wine bottle, please come back and let us know here what worked for you.
Hello! I followed this video, painted my tumbler and I cannot get the resin to adhere to the top and bottom edge (lots of fish eyes). What am I doing wrong? I use Naked Fusion resin. Thanks!
Hi, I'm sorry to hear that you're having this difficulty! First of all, know that fish eyes are not uncommon at all and can happen frequently no matter what the situation. I did take a look at Naked Fusion resin because I'm not familiar, and it does say the original art resin works for tumblers. The thinner resins they have probably won't work. Did you spray paint the tumbler with a matte finish paint or glossy? Glossy can actually cause the resin to slip off sometimes, especially around the rims. The resin, while the Naked Fusion website does mention that it works on tumblers, may be just a little too thin to really hang onto the tumbler. And even if everything is perfect, sometimes resin and alcohol inks just result in fish eyes. The good news is it's fixable. Give the whole cup a very light sanding with a fine grit sandpaper or sanding block, wipe it down with a damp paper towel, then spray the tumbler with a matte clear spray paint to add a rougher surface. When dry, apply more resin -- that should cover everywhere including where the resin didn't stick the first time. If you want, you can also add more alcohol ink to the second layer of resin to cover up any obvious fish eyes you want to get rid of. I hope this helps!
@@Luxinda thank you! Yes to the matte paint (Rustoleium 2X).
LOVE LOVE THEM!
Thank you!😊
Where did you get your chrome mica powders from?
I got those from a website called Island Micas and More. They are going out of business, and having a big sale. Here’s a link straight to the chromes islandmicasandmore.com/products/chrome-pigments?_pos=1&_psq=chr&_ss=e&_v=1.0
I love the end result. The sticker glue pulled everything together so nicely!
Thank you!😊
Does the paint go in the cup since your using your hand to Hold?
Yes, somewhat. I just clean it out later with acetone. Other people stuff a plastic bag into the cup or use painters or duct tape to try and keep the paint from getting in. Whatever works best.
Jutawesoe - love watching your videos over & over Tyvm- hope all is well with &
Thanks so much! 😊😊
I've seen other people sublimate directly onto the Oracle 651 without a laminating sheet. 350° for 25 seconds
You are a hoot! Made my night watching you...I love when we can see someone make mistakes & laugh about it!
I made soooo many mistakes while learning about using these foils! But every once in awhile, something would go right 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for watching!
I love everything you do! You have inspired me so much! Are you still planning to do more videos?
Thank you so much!! At the moment, I'm not planning to do any more videos. I ended up with 730+ videos across 2 channels in 3.5 years, and realized at that point that I was completely burned out and exhausted. So I've moved on to other things. Thank you again for watching and for your kind words!!
can I make a mold of something that has nail polish on it? if its completely dry, with the silicone mold mix part A and B
That is a great question, but unfortunately, I don’t know the answer - I’ve never tried to do that. I would suspect that some of the nail polish might come off as the silicone sets up. But the only way to know is to test it. If you can do a very small test sample first, mix up just a little bit of silicone A and B (literally just a teaspoon or tablespoon of each part) apply it to something that has nail polish on it, let the silicone set up, and then see if it pulls some of that nail polish off. I’m sorry I can’t give you a more definitive answer!
Lucinda, I miss your tutorials! I hope you are well!
Thanks! Doing very well 😊
What kind of adhesive did you use for the foil to stick ? Also is his heat transfer foil type ?
I use the Artsyville foil adhesive (you can find it on Amazon: amzn.to/4bvfnZp). I’d add a little water to it so it brushes on smoothly, let dry for at least 30 minutes (longer is better), then apply the foil and rub vigorously. Heat is not required with these foils, and I didn’t usually use heat when doing these foil transfers just the artsyville brush-on adhesive. But some folks swear adding heat with a heat gun as well as rubbing helps the transfer process, and it certainly doesn’t hurt, so go ahead and try it - experimenting is encouraged 😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤wow love the colours combo ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Absolutely stunning!
Thank you so much!😊😊
I can't get the black lid off. It.doesnt unscrew or pull off. I've scoured the Internet for answers and found your video. Could u let me know how to remove the black lid pls? Fab designs by the way.
Thanks! I’m not sure I can be much help - my black lids all unscrewed without any problems. If you haven’t tried already, my next move would be a pair of small pliers to see if you can get more force behind the unscrewing motion. If that doesn’t work, I’d return it and ask for a replacement. You may simply have gotten a tube with a defective lid or something like that. I’m sorry I don’t have a sure-fire fix for you!
@Luxinda Thank you. It helps cos at least i know what im dealing with now haha :)
L💗VE IT!!!!!
Thank you!! 😊😊

love the commercial
lol, thank you!! 😁😁
don;t know unless you try and love the scrub brush process
question. After you were done applying the alcohol inks to the tumbler did you seal it again? If so, how many times did you seal it?
Yes, there’s always a layer or two of clear resin to seal everything once you have the design completed. I don’t usually show those in the videos because there’s nothing to see, and it won’t change the look of the cup design at all so it’s not very interesting to watch. But yes, depending on what’s on the tumbler (vinyl, chunky glitter, etc) it may take a few layers of clear to give a smooth glass-like finish to the whole thing.
Hello I noticed your tumbler was not level. Could be why the inks went to the bottom. But definitely a great look (black & gold) was really pretty.
Hello you can. Wash it ?
Yes, resin tumblers can be hand washed no problem, just not run through a dishwasher.
Hey, everyone! I’m updating this because it looks like I’ve missed some comments along the way. So update: I’m doing really well, please don’t worry about me, although I thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts. It’s all good 😊

Where did you get the edging tool? That thing is great!
It definitely comes in handy. Here’s my link to it: amzn.to/3xlRW5X
