  I already have the original NES carts and the Asian trilogy of DQ1, 2, and 3 for switch but I’ll buy this too when it comes out because I’ve always been a fan of Dragon Quest.

  DQ3 has my second favorite job system in a DQ game. Favorite of the job class games in the series, though.

  As someone who has never played a Dragon Quest game, I absolutely cannot wait to play this. I hope it has a new game + since it has multiple difficulty levels. A little bummed this and Mario + Luigi are coming out so close together. And probably Dragon Age/Avowed closely after that. November and September (Zelda and Astro Bot) are looking so stacked right now.

  I love love love dragon quest !! Ever since that Christmas in the late 80’s when I saw that yellow box that was opened because my dad already beat the game before Christmas Day!!!! How rude lol ❤❤❤

  One game ide love to see get some attention in the SNES era, is a Japanese only game called Chaos Seed. Such an insane game mechanic. Very Rogue like esque but RPG as well. We need games that didn't get the proper light to see love!

  I'll be honest as stoked as I am for a HD2D version of 3. Im really curious about what changes will be made to 1 and 2. I understand and appreciate the idea of playing the games n chronological order. But the games got more complex as the series went on. Going 3-1-2. Is going to feel strange unless there are some additional changes. For example, are going to make the Prince of Cannock useful? Is 1 still going to be 1v1 for all the battles. I know changing that would require an overhaul of the entire game.

  If you're playing the switch version, and you have the computer set to auto-play, it actually really sucks to have a sage. If you have a cleric and your party is hurt, they'll heal you. If you have a wizard, they will always be doing damage. If you have two sages... good luck. They'll forget to heal when you need it, they'll heal when you don't. You might be saying "then put them on manual mode." Few things. First, it's kind of nice to only worry about the hero. Second, it makes you feel like you're part of a team. They gain their own personality when you let them act on their own. It can be fun to have them win (or lose) a game for you because... "darnit, Victoria, stop casting insta-death! It's accuracy is horrible!" Third, they cheat for you. They literally decide what they're going to do on their action. What do I mean? Traditionally, you decide what your entire team is doing without really knowing who's going to go before who. When the computer controls a character, it doesn't decide what that character is doing until it is actually their turn to act. This means that heals and revives happen exactly when they need to, and single target spells are used over mass target spells if there's only one enemy left... ... ... except when you have a party of sages. For some reason, sages step all over each other. And they never heal.

  I’m glad for you and others excited about this. But it’s a game that has already seen at least two remakes. Unless it’s like $19.99 I’ll pass.

  I think they will link the Monster Master class into some Monster Medal collecting sidequest. Hell, maybe they even make another Monter Town for us to fill up!

  For future Dragon Quest games after XII, Yuzo Koshiro will replace Koichi Sugiyama while Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru will replace Akira Toriyama. The soundtracks will be synthesized during development as a placeholder, but upon the game’s release, they’ll be replaced with symphonic versions, rendered by the Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra.

  I really am perplexed at the decision to slap those butt ugly character models and off looking enemy models on top of the SNES maps with the Switch and mobile versions of DQI, II and III.

  RPG fans unite, it is an outright shame this man hasn't hit 100k subscribers yet. If you happen to stumble upon this slice of rpg paradise u might as well forget watching any of your other rpg subscriptions because his talent and work ethic are unmatched and its pretty simple to see.   DQ5 is my fav, but the Super Famicom version of DQ3 is a masterpiece! It will be hard to top, but I’m ready! Man, which party will I choose this play through!?!? Definitely going hard mode!

  I ended up getting the Lucky(Elevating) shoes on one of my many play throughs of Dragon Warrior 3. I was so excited...until I realized that getting ONE xp per step wasn't very good when you needed 50k+ to level lol. They'll be a friggin' massive help at the beginning of the game though. Pre-order is a must!

  I just played this game for the first time last summer (after watching David's Dragon Quest tier list video,) and fell in love with it! It's my favorite Dragon Quest and I'm SO excited for this game now!!
