The Fishin' Dad

The Fishin' Dad

Fishing and enjoying the outdoors with kids. This channel was my daughter's idea but has become a great outlet and a lot of fun for all three of us. Expect lots of fishing firsts for the kids and myself in our never ending quest to get them on new species for the first time. In addition you can look forward to fish recipes, how to's, tips and tricks and the occasional wood working project. As you'll see we also enjoy doing giveaways a little too often;) We also hosted the very first KZread Anglers Tournament in February 2017 which was a huge success so you can look forward to more of those as well!
Tight lines and get 'em hooked,
TFD Family

GREAT video. As you say repeatedly, there is risk. If you are watching this video, chances are that you are a woodworker and I bet you take much more risk operating your table saw. With most things in life, there is inherited risk. If you don't feel safe doing it DON'T, but that does not mean other people can't complete the task safely. Carpe Diem! !! !!!

It's the same thing I'd say to Trump. Every idiot doesn't need to be responded to. Don't worry about these peoples Karen like tendencies . All press is good press. The more comments you have the more interactions you have whether they are good or bad your rating still goes up.

Just got a telescoping rod an' spinning for father's day (backpacker's walmart special), and it must have been on the shelf for 10 yrs cuz it was bone dry... forgot I could lube the bail arms, lol. Gotta love my boys, they know I like packing out to hard to get to honey-holes... if it's the thought that counts, they really thought about this one. I can't express how much I love it. Anyways, lubing it up did the trick, thanx.

I'm glad you put a disclaimer up. There are plenty of things that should only be undertaken by people who know what they're doing, and this is one of them. I'm sure alligators are perfectly safe if you're trained alligator keeper, but no way in hell a normie should keep an alligator. This is one of those cool to watch someone else do it things, but don't do it yourself (or at least until you've been trained up, eh. I'm not crapping on ambition.)

Just buy a new bloody reel. I guess not all of us are fortunate to do so, but it would actually be less a headache doing all this and a much better long term fix. If you bought a semi-decent reel to begin with, companies will happily send you out the part which you can find the number for in the schematics provided. Doesn't cost much.

Playing with electricity is dangerous no matter what you do with it from sticking a knife into a toaster, making a Jacob’s ladder or something as less dangerous as making a circuit board with 3 volts and why only licensed electricians can work with wiring and only professionals with all their safety can play with electricity within reason.

I think its pretty cool. These people are whining about it because they know their kids will try this, and they have stupid kids. If we stopped people efvery time they did something that if done wrong an hurt you, we would still be living in grass huts and have no electricity. Parents, if you have stupid kids, dont let them do this. There, now you have a disclaimer.

Very informative video. I was having a anti-reverse button problem on my Rapala Arachnid 5000. Opened it up and I had the two issues! The spring was off the switch and then the silver ring was slipping a bit off the tooth gear so I used a potent glue and it hold quite nicely. Thanks a lot!

Done this With a Microwave Transformer! My Safety precaution was to put the work on the ground so nothing is going to "fall off" and a cord 6+ feet away with thick insulated shoes, so even if I did fart sideways and passed out from the twisted smell I wouldn't accidentally "fall on it". Simply Plug in an outlet to start, Unplug to stop. Literally that simple and Safe. Kids or Adults that don't have basic common sense with electrical might want to stay away from pencil sharpeners as well, not trying to be rude just speaking in terms of "Common Sense." Keeping it REAL, If any Kid is attempting this alone where is the Parental supervision 🤔 in the first place? If the supervising Parent doesn't have the common sense or is Unwilling to learn how safely then by all means YES "Dont do this"!!! And Pay someone else that Does like this guy...Btw Beautiful Art Work!👍🏼💯

@Thefishindad I used to work in a sign shop and guys would set up a Huge Neon transformer to the angle iron rim around our workbench as a prank...You'd vibrate a bit but with the right shoes (because of not being grounded and completing the circuit) literally Nothing happens. What you're doing is above and beyond "Safe" for all the non common sense having haters. Thanks for sharing your accomplishments! 👏🏼

Well nice try guys. So FISHING HQ channel You Tube tested fish knots see which is strongest "I was not impressed." My "hook knot" (coined thterm. Classic huh? You likee??) ..beats (all) these. And, it's better in7 (other) reasons u never even thought of yet solvez 7other issues. So last month I decide invent only knot I ever invented - which, I invented as I was tying it lolmost about.. about 7 seconds lol "while frantically baby sitting 6 other poles." Good grief guyz learn2do yr jobs. Learn how2 engineer? I cant be doing all yr jobs 4u. There is not enuff of me 2go around. So basically I just instinctively theorized why not tie th line in 2places = I just wrapped 3 times around hook shaft 1st &then around eyelet 2nd &tied in such a way as it now holds hook near horizontal. So fish can more easily eat/swallow it. Eyelets: Most hook eyelets are just waaay too small 2insert 2lines. My method solves this problem. I wrap 3times shaft 1st & I then tie empty eyelet 2nd. By just wrapping shaft 3 times it has2 tighten b4 finally being allowed 2break &the idea here is that we're incorporating leverage in elasticity. Amazing. Wow. I just beat thousands college educated 10th gen engineers working 8hour days 6 days a week& I did it in 7 seconds. While juggling 6 other issues. (>Lastly it holds hook in a more of a horizontal attitude which brings me to thbiggest issue with fish hooks: They are vertical. Jigs: You see guyz, jigs are hooks that are held horizontal. Making it easier4 a fish 2ingest a larger hook 4a given smallest mouth so that basically u get th best of both = a hook will then suffice 4larger fish while still getting away with catching smallest pan fish = catch rate goes up 25%. Much 2my shock I then started catch several pan fish 1.75" long. You are now fishing a larger hook2 accept 3lb'r yet still catching MUCH smaller pan fish. I been me a looong time we are notoriously always thking of kings& in all things here @Sregio Industries. Horizon fish hooks: *Incidently my knot method will now proceed2 pioneer a nex generation hooks designs that are now held in appropriate more horizontal attitude &that just makes it easier 4fish2 ingest a hook. In that way they dont have 2swing down gulp hook length wise bottoms up nor do they any longer hesitate or suddenly do a u turn decide "wait that long hook is too big 4me& MY throat" ..&swim away. These nex gen hooks will be more in the order of a jig lure - that holds bait horizontal making it appear not only minnow-like natural attitude but also easier 4a fish2 swallow so I coined them "Horizon Hooks." Fish are designed2 swallow objects length wise. Imagine that. "You learn smthing every day dontcha." When people read my comments they always ban me from their forums, delete my comments, or entire threads so they can then go out pattent my designs &pocket thcashflow. Lol 80% humans are demons Lucifer places in flesh bodies with Hadron Collider& these arent humans. Thieves& snakes.... Biblical tare race. They control all our corrupt backstab all over thmap goose chase manufacturing &knots breaking has kept billions dollars in th snake oil pockets of these digital hive mind cmputer animations among us. They are all cmputer cntrolled. (They dont know any of this..) (Demons are nephilem spirits. Just as thdays of Noah these giant poison trojan horse loser clowns walk the earth. Engineering parts that break.) I am just here 2put them in jail. Dont bother delete this comment I pasted this dozens other channels too - 20 guyz deleted this comment b4 you will.
