Woodworker/Maker 🗡️
Here you will find various woodworking related builds from inside my workshops. I am completely self taught and just having fun making and learning as I go.

Nice surprise with the grey hound at the end. I have a grey hound and now I’m Considering making a pedestal for her statue . Great idea . Excellent work
beautiful!!!
Make sure to sand the edges of the jaws to help prevent chipping
I hope that’s going inside!!
Good stuff, seems a shame you can’t buy a vice with a quick release “lever” manufactured in uk anymore? (The eclipse is apparently now made in China I believe)
Loads of second hand vintage (and pre-modern Irwin era) Record vices on eBay mate. Cheaper and better than anything new anyway. It's just a shame none of them have the dog along with the quick release, but you can always make your own dog for it.
Amazing job. What is the thickness of the MDF?
Very slick, but mine is insulated and has electronics underneath, removed from printer, safely away from heated chamber. Not going for looks but able to print in chamber ABS, polythene, nylon etc. All materials from scrap including £1 Perspex offcut.. apart from Iko Enatherm sheet. How much did you spend on all those tools? LOL - learn to use hand tools. Mine cost £20 and some screws and Tightbond..
What was the final thickness?
what's crazy is the amount of time and detail put into this, yet it doesn't have much R value, or exhaust, which is the main reason to make an enclosure. I took $20 of XPS foam and made a box, put a CPU fan and some ducting in the back, for a fraction of the time and money, and it's light weight
Nice build. My solution was a little bit different. Next time I'll do the notch with the table saw and not the jointer.
Do you have a cut list?
Nice vid 😊 cool bin storage
@mikeparsonscc At 2:02 are you cutting a 1x6 and what is the 38, inches, mm? I'm trying to follow this to the 'T" but I'm a stumped on what size you did the bottom or if it even matters as long as I leave a 1" space to lay the horizontal boards along the bottom. Thanks!
Our factory is also engaged in the field of chandeliers and lighting equipment. Thank you for visiting
What table saw are you using?
3 years pass. What is your feedback about this vise? Any problem?
This build is great, do you have plans for sale?
Nice build! Looks beautiful :)
Do you know if it could be coated with cement ?
Genius ideas!
Talk!
Good job. I've built my share of cabinets in the past, and admit, I hate working with mdf. However, in this case where it is painted, it turned out nice.
nice work! using the drill press to maintain plumb is genius.
Huge fan of ya work! Just built the mud kitchen! My son loves it! Wish I could post a pic here. Re the frames for these chalk boards…. Roughly how many passes over the table saw to make the indent on frame for ply to sit in? Many thanks
awesome
Have already seen a lot of videos about making an enclosure. You Sir are of a different ( 5 Star ) order. In the video it all looks very easy, but this is another level of craftsmanship. Would like one for my printer. I'll keep dreaming 😀
Thanks for sharing! Great video and perfect mud kitchen for twins, we take that as our next project ;)
Amazing!! Do you sell these?
Nice Diy hobbyist projects craftsman style work Shop.. good machinery minded peoples idealogy idealogy idealogy work Shop
I struggle getting in the shed it's not organised a tall I'm trying bit by bit I'm trying to do one thing at a time step by step it's good to talk 👍
Same, to be honest. Over the last 3 months of "bit by bit" I've managed to get it back to being in a good state, but still haven't managed any proper projects in a long while...
Nice.
This project reminded me of Woody Hyezmar's Bible somehow…, although you can currently get it at no cost, the projects are worth a good look. Maybe try go’ogling his latest.
dfcdd
This is how you turn something really simple out of something what would likely be very hard. Reminds me about Woody Hyezmar’s Woodworking Bible which is being given away and can try go’ogling, but I’m not so sure, have a good one!
What did you use to finish the coasters with
Building this tomorrow. I have 1/100th the amount of tools you have though. Wish me luck
Good luck! You'll do great!
Simple ways as assemble of woodworking vise for DIY carpenter?
Went to fast. Would have been better if you talked us through the steps. Good work just hard to follow.
Those clamps!!!!!!
Make a groove on the inside of one of the legs and out the bottom before assembly to accept the lamp cord. Makes for a much neater appearance, especially if the cord is brown or translucent. You can cut the groove just wide enough so the cord is friction fit or cut it deeper and cut a small strip to cover the cord entirely. Otherwise, great build and appearance.
Do you have plans for this, I would love to make it for my granddaughter.
Great...all from scrap wood, now all i have to buy is the sander...electric saw...electric nail gun...Oh and some varnish so it looks good. It can even fit inside your home. lol
this is awesome! I probably would have used ply for the fence (looks like the mdf split when you tied it to the platform)
Sometimes it's good to take a break from time to time, it happens to my passion which is photography and I get back at it. Your work is great and enjoyable to watch.
Amazing enclosure! I've been searching a lot lately and your design and craftsmanship is one of the best.
Thank you! I really appreciate that 😊
what sort of dimensions did you use for the coasters? what is your typical source for wood?
100x100x10 size for the coasters. I mostly get it from eBay 👌
@@mikeparsonscc The wood that you get you need to cut down or plane yourself from there usually I imagine. What sizes do you like to start with?
@@bitsurfer0101 I like to buy offcut packs because I don't need large boards. It works out cheaper but they are not a consistent size so yes, everything needs milling down 👌
Thanks for the video, what size coach bolts did you use for the bottom?
I cannot remember exactly sorry. The largest diameter and length I could fit 👌
Where are you located, can you make me one without the trim out of plywood
Parabéns. Por favor, ponha legendas em português se for possível. Obrigada! Muito sucesso para você !
It looks awesome. Great inspiration!
