Amazing work! Just one tip - when you install the alternator charging cable, you need to move that 100A fuse as close to the van battery as possible. If you have a cable run through on the chassis on the section of cable BEFORE the fuse - you’re gonna burn your van to the ground.

Gracias 🙏

Should you first install water tanks and make holes for the connections into the van if you put them underneath the van? Or can you just drill holes through the isolation and wood of an already-installed floor? Also - can you first insulate the whole van and then look where you will put electricity lines etc or do those lines need to be in the isolation?
@kokomovansАй бұрын
Yes I drill through the subfloor to run drain lines after it's installed and I know right where the water tanks need them. And yes I generally do insulation first then run the electrical. It might be helpful to watch my full build video I recently posted

Is there anyway to implement this system to an existing RV AC/DC system without using the smart distribution panel?

Yes you’re able to use your existing distribution panel in your rv. The wiring that goes to the distribution panel is standard AC/DC wiring. Please reach out on our website and we can help!

The only thing I don’t like that I see, is you using ANL audio fuses? I would try blue Sea fuses.
@BillFye6 ай бұрын
It looks like a great system. But for me, I would need more amperage available on the DC panel because it seems wasteful to run A/C off the AC line. I'd only want to run 120v outlets on the AC line and keep all other loads off of the inverter. Perhaps 100A DC total would do it, with 70A on one line as a rough guess.

Thx for your Video, good inspirations! i have a Power Kit Independence Kit with one 5kWh battery installed in my van. Unfortunately, I have noticed that the battery discharges by around 15% within 24 hours without a load being connected. I started on Sunday around 5pm with 50% capacity. Yesterday (Wednesday) only 6% charge remaining. No consumer used electricity during this time. Only DC was activated. Losing 44% of a 5 kWh battery in standby within 72 hours is not really energy efficient, is it? what is your experience?
@kokomovans7 ай бұрын
Hi Oliver, I’d see if you have a firmware update available and reach out to ecoflow about this through the customer service chat section on their app. This is abnormal and I’m sure it can be resolved.

On the few rainiest days that could be a problem but most cloudy days you still charge enough to counteract that small drainage as long as you don’t park under a tree. And yes a custom Victron system would definitely be better. The ecoflow system is for people that want the plug and play ability. I’ve personally never heard any of my customers having a problem with ecoflow though.
