I installed Ecoflow Powerkit and added 3,150 watts of solar on my 34ft Avion Travel Trailer last June. I have 15kw of batteries and run my air conditioner on the system. Live full time in our rig. In the over 9 months I have not plugged into shore power or a generator. Totally off grid. Full time. Love my Ecoflow Power Kit!

Amazing work! Just one tip - when you install the alternator charging cable, you need to move that 100A fuse as close to the van battery as possible. If you have a cable run through on the chassis on the section of cable BEFORE the fuse - you’re gonna burn your van to the ground.

@@christopherbrandler508 Working great as expected in the beginning then some trouble after 2 months of normal use. 1st issue was not charging to 100% it would stop at 85% ??? 2nd issue was a error code of AC bus overload and the unit would bug out when AC input stopped and inverter took over, it was much more than 30ms. Twice it shut down completely and re-started by itself??? safter contacting Ecoflow, they had me do a battery calibration test and download the latest firmware... Happy to report all is ok now, Ecoflow customer support seems pretty good 👍

I’ve seen lots of debate going either way. I’ve heard it doesn’t matter for the 12v system or you only need to be grounded when plugged into shore power. Too much mixed info for me to give you a solid answer sorry. Go ahead if you need the peace of mind.

It looks like a great system. But for me, I would need more amperage available on the DC panel because it seems wasteful to run A/C off the AC line. I'd only want to run 120v outlets on the AC line and keep all other loads off of the inverter. Perhaps 100A DC total would do it, with 70A on one line as a rough guess.

Gracias 🙏

Yes they could be doubled up on the negative side. There’s also a negative output screw mount next to the negative pinch connections. You can put a ring terminal on extra negative wires and mount them on there.

Thx for your Video, good inspirations! i have a Power Kit Independence Kit with one 5kWh battery installed in my van. Unfortunately, I have noticed that the battery discharges by around 15% within 24 hours without a load being connected. I started on Sunday around 5pm with 50% capacity. Yesterday (Wednesday) only 6% charge remaining. No consumer used electricity during this time. Only DC was activated. Losing 44% of a 5 kWh battery in standby within 72 hours is not really energy efficient, is it? what is your experience?

@@kokomovans Thx for your reply! Firmware ist up to date... Fresh answer from Ecoflow-support: "The PowerHub will consume 20W of power when the DC output is turned on, in addition to the appliances. So it seems that the LFP battery loss is within the normal range." 20 watts correspond to 480 watt hours per day, which means that the 5 kWh battery is empty after 10 days of idling at the latest...

@@kokomovans Solar in sunny months may be no Problem, but during winter and rainy days... I need DC constantly for GPS, alarm and parking heater (remote start). With a normal Lifepo4 no problem for weeks in Standby. I should Charge and discharge the battery 2-3 times from 100%-0% now as a suggestion from ecoflow. I Just Start charging...

On the few rainiest days that could be a problem but most cloudy days you still charge enough to counteract that small drainage as long as you don’t park under a tree. And yes a custom Victron system would definitely be better. The ecoflow system is for people that want the plug and play ability. I’ve personally never heard any of my customers having a problem with ecoflow though.
