My mom never soaked the liver in milk nor did she add anything special, just raw liver breaded in flour,fried in brown gravy with onions. She can still make it all these years later too, She just made me some back on Sunday.

Try this, first caramelise ALOT off thin sliced onion on lots of oil and when its almost brown add thin sliced liver and brown it together. Add salt and pepper maybe a little nutmeg or marjoran and its done. The sweet onion and caramelised liver give the best taste, you will clean the plate with a slice of bread:).

It’s water. There is a reason dehydrated mushrooms have more flavor than fresh mushrooms. The water won’t take away the flavor.
