It gets super hot way over 300. I know its hard on the engine but its an old engine and its still running strong . I have to run it lean to get the engine to rev up with the super tall gearing. It is really just getting to hot and I need to let it cool off. I have only run the car twice so I still have to get it right. Its an rp7 plug for on road engines. So I have sort of a mismatch, Im doing on road things with a .28 off road engine. Im going to try an or road engine see if it works just as well with a smaller higher revving unit.

@NicholsonNitroWorks Itdoesnt sounds to lean people trip out over temps most say 250* I think 300* is the sweet spot for most engines. Plastic doesn't melt til 400* and that's why I laugh at some and congratulation to people like you that aren't afraid to show the engines Tru power 💪good work

@@Nitro_rc_life Thank you! If you look at top fuel dragsters and outlaw cars and see the power they make. There is no reason our engines cant do the same. No companies have ever researched into making a higher revving larger sized nitro engine do to popular demands. If you double the size and engineer the engine to perform like the .21 competition engines they would make the same power as other vehicles. In the meantime I modify these existing engines to turn higher which in turn makes more power. If I can get the largest RC engine to turn the same RPM as the on road engines I'm making more power which is needed to get my wheel speed up to a goal of 75mph to drift the way I desire to do with all four tires blazing in smoke at 45,000 engine rpm for minutes straight at a time! Then I just fill up the tank and go again. The cooling is the issue with more power also. So some breaks in fun will be needed to let it cool off.

@@compasRCnitro What are you looking to modify first? There are not any current large scale commercial engine modifiers that I would recommend you send your engines to. I have purchased engines from many of them with very minimal performance results. I had to research and find some retired engine modifiers to help me learn how to modify to get the best results so far. Now these current engine modifiers aren't necessarily bad they are just trying to appeal to a CERTAIN customer. I am modifying my engines to reach the MOST power possible WITHOUT fuel economy in mind for fun bashing not racing. Most of these current businesses are modding engines for track racing which requires fuel economy smooth power transitions. So it depends on what your wanting to do with the engine your modifying.

14t with 47spur the tires are the 3.8 backflips at 6.1” diameter they are .5” taller than regular truggy tires but they are light weight when mounted on DEracing truggy wheels. The pre mounted ones are heavy. They knock the gearing down it does 45mph easily and 48 in good weather. I can run a 16t bell but they get burnt up immediately but it will go over 50mph real quick which is almost too fast for most of the areas I bash at. I still run it like that though because it’s so fun but it doesn’t pull wheelies I’ll post a video with a 16t bell it still get out of the hole quick.

The pipe is a HIPEX 2095 low noise pipe I had to order it from France. HIPEX is an Italian company. In Europe some tracks have strict noise regulations so HIPEX designed this new 3 or 4 chamber pipe to quiet things down a bit. It's 3 decibels lower than standard pipes. That isn't a huge difference but it does sound quieter especially in grass or dirt. It doesn't seem to hurt power at all as you can tell. The manifold is the HIPEX B5 short conical header. In this video the car is tuned pretty well and the rear differential is repaired.kzread.info/dash/bejne/g5hnqq-GYZyzeNo.htmlsi=NjvhWyc0yT-Pmevh

The combination of the Nicholson NitroWorks pro modified OS .28 and The Hipex 2095 pipe is sweet. Its a good bit quieter than a 9886 pipe. It still makes the power as you can see and the three chamber/ B5 manifold combo doesnt hurt the top end. I know Im doing a lot of short bursts but the area is sort of short distance. Its a 47 spur 14 bell with 6.1" Backflips so it has done 50mph on the skyRC gps which works out to 41,000 rpm. I have a buggy with a similar build that hit 61mph with a 44 spur 18 bell on 4.6" Badlands.

This is after a previous 15 minutes of brutal drifting (someone stopped to tell some vintage RC tamiya stories!) It only ripped off because of my inadequate glue job. I didnt make sure that the glue covered the whole inside of the tire. If you miss some spots the wheels spin so fast the tire will expand where the glue is missing and eventually cause the tire to seperate from the wheel. Watch the install video on @westozrc channel where he shows you how to keep blowouts from happening. The great thing is I glued the section back on the wheel and its good until they are to thin to run!
