  I haven't played much w/devil's claw! Basically using this same build, but with a shock mace. Getting ganked by a gaggle of crushers feels like shit otherwise. Or getting chased down like at 10:10

  ive usually used the heavy sword for zealot, but recently rolled a nice devil claw sword. its been really fun especially with its riposte move.

  Watching telo move is insane. I don't think anyone has put a guide out on this kind of decision making or movement / defence tips. To be fair there's no replacement for trial & experience. I guess you can see tips from watching the gameplay, but often it's not obvious.

  I used the Turtolsky that starts with a strike down heavy and I was shocked how fast it killed certain enemies, pretty sure I one shot maulers with it. Also that is some bizarre luck you've had only having Rannick on Clandestine Gloriana, for me it was a 50/50 split of the two.

  Tap or hold block while using the special to spam it faster. Tapping is preferred if you learn the rhythm because holding it makes the hitbox disappear quite early, making it harder to hit heads with consistently unless you angle your camera.

  Is there an actual reason to use any other Devil's Claw than MKIV, with its easy access to H1 Strikedown, and the L1-H2 horde clear that is far more effective than any other mark's combo (at least according to Reginald's TTK spreadsheet and my own experience)? Or is the MKVII just to switch things up?

  Mk VII has a better follow-up light attack after parry and a better push attack. You can combo strikedowns through light, heavy, light, light, heavy spam. It also looks cooler.

  ​@@Mitradraug So the parry doesn't lead to L1, which is the same for both marks? Which attack does it lead to instead? (can't test that one it in Psyk without mods ;) ) In which way is the MkVII stab better than the MkIV vertical, does it do more damage? I was under the impression that both stabs and verticals are counted as strikedowns and have the same damage profile (I can totally be wrong on that one, since Fatshark think we don't need to know the stats for push attacks and are really inconsequent with the attack labeling). And I still think the follow-up options are better from the MkIV push attack (H1 for high follow-up damage, L1 for a quick emergency sweep). As for the looks, I can only agree wholeheartedly.

  @@Morbak546 I couldn't get into it until I got a decent one, and played it with the right build. You're probably missing the good breakpoints, which I certainly was when I first picked up this shotgun. Unfortunately, it kinda needs the "both barrels" blessing to be able to reload fast enough to be useful vs crowds of elites/specials. You can do it with speedloader, but it isn't as good. Deathspitter is GOOOD, and I basically run it with the same build that telopots is running here. I don't know how essential +flak/maniac damage is, but I got one with both barrels 4 and deathspitter 4, so it let me change the perks to flak/maniac, and it's an absolute monster now with that build.

  The parry can benefit from zealot's ability, the rending, when it parries allowing it to almost 1 shot a crusher

  Gotta love parrying a chaos spawns full combo. I do use 2 3+ stamina curios, so I’m not sure if it’s possible without the extra stamina.

  I'm incapable of putting the MK III Knife down, but the Double Barrel is 100% my new favorite ranged weapon to use. Faster reload blessing is a game changer.

  Skullcrusher is actually good, you can stagger all enemies with light attacks or parry + light follow-up except bosses, reapers and crushers.

  @@professormoriarthus I read from steam forums that skullcrusher is really good for perfect parries, since those stagger all non-monstrosities and therefore you get the damage buff on the return hit which is very noticeable.

  The parry is the focus point of it. If the Heavies did more damage then it would defeat the purpose of the parry. It is a defensive horde clear weapon.

  The Devil Claw VII is amazing once you get the moveset down, very satisfying to chop off heads with it, kind of like a baby heavy sword (with the amazing parry)

  I currently fuck with the “stop resisting” mace. The armor pen and crowd clear make it pretty good for everything. I was using mk xv eviscerator which I think has the best crowd clear the in game (if spamming lights). I’ll have to try this sword out, I haven’t used it since early game. I’d like to see a cataclysm (ala Vermintide 2) mode that’s just absurd. Of course at that point I’ll need to find 3 people to run with consistently. Auric Damnation pubs are 50/50 lol, sometimes they are amazing sometimes I wonder how they survive malice.

  For me it's like 70/30 with pubs, most of the time you have to carry them hard and they do barely 200k damage and get downed every few minutes. I'm not that good of a player as Telo that bad players make the game more engaging for me, so instead I just get frustrated. Worst thing is seeing people's blessings and perks on weapons, it gets depressing seeing someone put block efficiency in their weapon through Hadron. I don't wanna be toxic but if I see all my teammates running shit blessings and perks I just leave to save me time and nerves

  @@themanwithnoname1839 That's kinda what he's doing, letting other players play how they want to. He isn't accosting them for having a bad build, he's just declining to play with them. IMO, that's the least toxic way to handle being matched with people that you don't want to play with: just let them play their game, and you don't have to involve yourself.
