Just did this repair on my Lexus 3GS, at first I was frustrated since after new digitizer install outcome was the same, touchscreen still not working. However pay attention to the socket where digitizer's wire goes. Make sure socket is closed, once wire is in place, try to gently pull the wire it should not come out of the socket. This was the case for me as I reasembeled the unit back together, wire was not fixed good enough and it fell out of the socket. Now everything works fine, thanks for a great video!

I followed the video however when finished the mirror doesn’t go forward or back like if pushed hard like used to and passenger mirror. Did I do something wrong?
Do I need to reflash the program?.A repair shop mention that.Not sure if its true or they are trying to charge me more money.
This was not as easy to press down on the spring for me. Mine had A LOT of tension and I had to put a lot of body weight on it to get the spring to go down. I watched this video 10 times and spent 3 hours to get the spring in and put the housing back.

You are not dumping the fuel correctly the vent plug is not supposed to be opened all the way just enough to let the air out. Ive poured many no leaks .

That jug is only meant to hold 5 ga. You had it way overfilled and that's why fuel was coming from the breather.
I came across this video out of necessity. My daughter cracked the screen on her accord. After initially being concerned we would have to fork out big at a reputable dealer, we were able to fix it ourselves. This video walked through how to get the screen off, even the trial and error. Common sense advice...any vehicle. I have 2 of these...'06 and '08 both v6's and the '06 is 294,000 miles. I do my own service. Assembled in Japan with 100% Japanese parts. Great vehicle.
Do you happen to know what that empty BLUE connector is for on the top of the navigation screen is for? Is if for a Bluetooth adapter?
I know you can do better than this. No reason to spill all of that fuel. Slow down, or dont fill your jug up so far if you're not mentally and physically capable of pouring without spilling through the damn breathe hole. This shit is ridiculous, and is something that I would expect a child to do, not a fully grown adult human being.

The Highline team saved me thousands on a broken RX screen replacement. If you've got a damaged display (mine had an infant car seat hit it), this is by far the best option.
the proper way to use a VP jug is to either start pouring and crack the vent just alittle or remove the vent, hold your thumb over the vent hole, start pouring, and then remove your thumb. The way this guy pours is just ridiculous. And for sure doesnt warrant spending 4x the cost of the original item on aluminum bits. Going to a 1" hose is a common solution but can easily be done with box store parts for 1/10 of what they are shilling.
I just did this and now my Sideview wont collapse. Was something not aligned when i hammered it? No clue how to take it back off

Does it matter what wire goes where for your defrost? There's a brown and green wire. And I dont know which one goes where.
Might not matter since it's just for defrost, but on mine (2010 ED) brown wire on top, red on bottom.
If you hit the washer too hard, it will fix the problem but you will not be able to swivel the mirror.
My 2005 mfd goes in and out and the Lexus logo often pops up. I put in a used one and it did the same thing. Any suggestions?
Hi! I have a blank screen issue on a 16 lexus es350. Sometimes it will unsuccessfully try to reboot itself and fail on the caution screen and once in a while it will turn on and function normally until i turn the car off. Is there a fix for this or do i need to get the unit changed? (Which costs an arm and a leg)
You likely have a bad hard drive. This would need to be diagnosed to confirm
The cable that you stated "likes to pull out" it's a 5-hole 4-pin when you are removing the screen from the larger assembly...I don't suppose you have a wiring/pinout diagram for that? 2blacks, a green and a red.... The issue is that the connector has 5 holes. Not sure which to put them back into and I didn't snap a pic of it before-hand.

That pan tube (For fluid level) should come out using the same Hex Head as the pan cap. That will drain the pan further without spilling everywhere when removing the pan.

My SC 300 mirror was repaired twice before, and the tube was mangled. What I did was put a long thin bolt down the center of the tube (with a small washer on top), right next to the wires. On the bottom of the support, I put a washer and nut to tighten the spring down. I used a weaker spring. This will never fail again!!!!

How do you calibrate the digitizer after installation? I have an aftermarket CarPlay module for my LX that I could calibrate after doing a repair to my digitizer glass but I can't seem to find the function in the OEM head unit.
The digitizer does not require calibration.
