Hello! Can we cut the rope and connect it again with wires or smth?
Maybe I missed something but when did you program the hub to control the lights in the kitchen? How does it know?
Great question. All you need to do is add the Echo Hub into the same group as the smart lights. Then it knows what lights are in the room. Here is a full video about creating groups: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mo1rrLeqabW-ctI.html
@@TechWithBrett Thank you! The video helped. Another question. Will either of the following hubs (Apple, Google, Amazon) be able to replace a Control4 setup? If so, which one will be best? I’ll need it to control AV
That is a good question. Do you know what frequency your devices are using? Zigbee or Z Wave? And I am not sure on the AV System part.
@@TechWithBrett That, I’m not sure of. My aunt just moved into a condo (I haven’t been over there yet) and the former owner left the control4 there but it’s dated. I figured I’ll help her and start fresh with one of these new smart hubs. I viewed another video of yours on “Home Assistant”. Would paring the two work and be able to replace control4?
Hello I have 3 bathroom that use regular 3 switches. 2 of the 3 switches control the mirror light and ceiling lights. The 1 switch control the fan (not a ceiling fan). Does your product work in each of my bathroom and what product should I get?
Hello, yes the Caseta lights can work in your room. You can get the Diva Smart Dimmer if you want to dim lathe lights, or you can go with the Claro Smart Switch to just have the lights turn on and off. The Claro Smart Switch would also control the fan.
I want to love it, but Gabb is so much better. Why? The Gabb can make and receive calls without a special app... Including to other Gabb watches. If I buy this I'm going to ask anyone they want to be able to call to download the special app, and my kids won't be able to call each other. The Gabb is also cheaper, though this watch seems like it's slightly higher quality.
My main complaint on Gabb Watch 3 is battery life, but they just pushed an update that should help. I will be doing a full comparison between the two soon.
What network does it connect to? Is there going to be support for Bluetooth headphones like the pixel buds for calls
It works off of T-Mobile from what I heard. Yes, I was able to connect my Pixel Buds to it over Bluetooth for calls.
Can you change the watch face to something other than a noodle? My daughter doesnt love the look of that.
There is not. It just lets you change the type of noodle it is, and you can adjust the font of the clock.

Your garden is only about 1900 square feet. I'm amazed that it takes 2 hours to mow such a small lawn. A 32,000 square foot lawn, which is what the model is designed for, sounds like an impossible task
Link to the dad hat plz 😎
I've been thinking I should take it to the next level: (affiliate) amzn.to/3R8C0uR
wow that looks good and you can you show me
Now that it's been a year have you had any problems?
So far no problems. A few other comments have mentioned some but we are still going strong. I should probably change the filter again.
If it’s working with only external speaker then this is just a waste of time. You can play this simply just pairing with bluetooth and use aux in the echo dot.

U don't understand anything. What app do I need to install?
If the watch was able to communicate to the grandparents without an app, i would buy it today.
We set it up last night and it just takes a bit. So of the benefits of doing it this way is there is no chance if a spam call or text coming to the childs watch which is great.

Great video ! Q: as seen in various part of the video the lower part of the curtains does not fully close as the motors are at the top . Are your curtains dragging on the floor ? I am afraid as mine are quite heavy and dragging on the floor won’t be able to close them fully defying the whole purpose if you still need to manually adjust them
These aren't touching the ground but are up against the dresser. You may need to do a bit of repositioning when closing.
Bro, I drove past your parents house yesterday and saw this thing driving into the front yard. I knew you had to be up to something 😂. Looks cool!
Haha! It gets quite the looks when it is out mowing. They love that it is always keeping their lawn looking fresh.
So if you were cutting your lawn on the front of your yard you will have to supervise the mower because if you don't the same package thieves who steal your amazon packages will 100% take that thing for sure.
It does have a security feature where if it is picked up, it turns on the lock code and can't be used until it is entered.
So it winds up stolen and thrown in the trash..is that supposed to be a win?

So do you need netflix and prime accounts to watch?
Only to watch those apps. There are other free TV channels available or apps that have content without paying for a subscription.
GTA99
Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I currently know my gmail password so this isnt needed. (i used this profile picture to troll people)
I'm watching this with my echos Bluetooth on my phone
Is it water resistant or is it water proof?
It is water resistant to 50m.
@@TechWithBrettSo I’m assuming it’s not best to swim with it?
Like most water resistant devices, they can be submerged but the more often you do it, the more chance it has to fail and be damaged. I would use it as accidental coverage vs it can survive in water.
@@TechWithBrettOkay, thanks for the reply. Not many KZreadrs take the time to replay
@@TechWithBrett how about taking a shower with it ?
how can you sign up for ace pass subscription? Pre-ordered one for my soon 8 year old as a birthday present and I can't find where to buy the subscription?
Download the Fitbit Ace app. Pretend like you have the watch and it should walk through the steps to sign up for the subscription.
can you update the home app its 2024 now and the app changed again
Here is my latest app update video kzread.info/dash/bejne/nqKYj6enacS_oNI.html
they have nest-cam for Google nest hub max you can make video calls and make sure it your security camera is protected by Google and wide screen.
I'm unable to add my nest doorbell to Google Home app
Any luck? What is it telling you?
How long are games interesting for. It all seams crap think I'll wait for then next playstation and GTA and play it on a clear 4k tv. Can see me getting this vr and being bored in a week and it sits there not being used
I was really hoping to find an upgrade to my 9 year old son's Verizon Gizmo Watch 3. The market has a terrible gap in the tween smartwatch sector, and I was so excited to see this new watch by Google. Google Maps! Fitbit tracking! WATERPROOF!! But now, I don't think it's enough to make the switch... Currently on his Gizmo, for texting yes you need to go through the app, BUT for calling, I can add ANY phone # to his contact list in the app and he can immediately make and receive calls from that phone #. So for example, his friend has an Xplora watch, different brand/app/plan, and us parents were able to program each others son's phone number in our apps and the two friends can call each other from either of their watches. And they do. Often! I also have his grandparent home phone # programmed. Yes they still have a wall phone! So are you saying that if I were to switch to this Google watch, he can no longer call his friend's watch or my parent's home phone??? Deal breaker. Sorry. Very disappointing
I tried typing with the keyboard but it’s not working
Is there a keyboard on it or is it just talk to text?
Yes, there is a full keyboard on it as well as voice messages.
I like refrigerator very much.
Game changer. Makes my sons gizmo look like a toddler watch.
@TechWithBrett I know your email I emailed you
This may be dumb question but why need cat with wifi?
Adding a direct cat cable is more reliable and faster than wifi. If you do gaming you also have a much lower ping.
@@TechWithBrett really? i didn’t know that. My house is pre wired from original builder and I’d thought it was obsolete.
can two watches communicate with each other?
Google said they currently cannot.
It's a total mess that it's $230 for a kid and only a 16-hour battery life for a kid. All the other features seem nice but let Google know those are total misses
Agreed, 16 hours is abysmal. Not a knock on you, Brett, but I stopped the bideo right there. No longer interested :(
We will be fully testing the battery with real usage over the next week. Stay tuned!
Does this allow wifi calling when an LTE network is not available and wifi is?
This is a great question. It does have Wifi but I will need to verify that function.
Thanks for the review! Does anyone happen to know if LTE will work in the EU? I switched myself and my wife to Pixels 2 years ago, my 5 years old son has been using Fitbit Ace 3 for the last year. The new Ace 3 LTE would be a great gift for him, and I would pre-order if it supported LTE in Europe.
I am unsure what countries it will launch in. All I see is that the offers are for US only. I'll ask around.
Well that sucks. Can't call each other between the devices and needing the app. That turned me off of it completely.
So if my kid wants to talk to her classmates on the phone this watch is useless unless they have the app. I'll stick to a traditional phone for my kid at that rate.
@@Kuya_D_Z3 yeah... that is a pretty big turnoff for me as well. Not sure if there are going to be work arounds. Right now I could just see the kids wanting to get a hold of immediate relatives.
I asked Google about this and they said it is something they might consider down the road with enough interest. I think starting with family calling would be a great test so my kids can call each other if needed. The older ones would definitely want to call out to friends as well.
Can they text/call iOS devices or only Android?
They can call/text any device, but that device HAS to have the Fitbit Ace app installed. It's not traditional texting/calling. They also can't call 911.
Sadly from what he said only people with the app
Anyone that has iOS or Android. The parent sends a gmail invite to the new user and they download the app and accept the invitation and can call and text.
I was literally going through checkout until you mentioned that it can't call 911 or anyone else. That is a HUGE negative. I was all excited about this for my 10 year old, but am questioning it now. I really would like her to be able to get a hold of someone other than me or my wife should she need help and we're not available.
You can store up to 20 contacts so that's 18 other people they can call or text
@@VerSatya they HAVE to have the Fitbit Ace app installed. I'm not going to try to get grandparents to install another app and have to troubleshoot that for them. It just needs to be a message in the messages app. Otherwise, they'll never see it.
@@fuelvoltsexactly. I had it in my cart and was almost ready. 3 days battery life would be better, being able to talk to classmates etc. and how about grandparents that don't use smart devices. This is another flop by Google. And I most definitely don't want my kid using it to buy stuff unless it's an emergency ride home.
Sorry if I wasn't perfectly clear there. No 911 calls but you can set them up to call friends and family if the other person has the Fitbit Ace app on their Android/iOS device. You can add up to 20 contacts like this.
@@fuelvolts totally agree. But is there a better alternative to this, other than buying a full fledged phone ?
