  This is a tame raccoon, a former pet who thinks humans are good. She's so hungry, she doesn't know how to find food on her own. Her looking so sadly through the fence broke my heart. Humans are horrible sometimes.

  A kinder, better interactive response would have been to lead him out with a trail of food. That way he would have fed his tummy and gotten his basic needs met. ❤. Even whole wheat bread would have helped.

  Leave him alone...he will leave on his own when he gets hungry or thirsty. That was not a totally wild racoon...either he is a neighbor's pet, or you are staging the video with a racoon familiar with you. In any case, skip the video and leave the poor guy alone. If he was totally feral, then rabies might explain his confused & docile attitude. Leave him alone!

  What is wrong with that racoon in your yard. The racoon is minding its own business. The racoon got in it can get out. It looks young maybe it left the den before mama and its siblings awoke. It looks like you don't live in area that is completely urban. If you don't like wildlife, why buy a home in an area that has wildlife. I live in a city with a really nice park nearby. There are coyotes, raccoons, skunks, owls, hawks etc.. People get so terrified when they see a skunk, raccoon ect.. I look at them like it, why don't you move downtown or to a part of the city that is all houses and the concrete jungle.

  See, I’m that type of person that gets way too attached to any animal I become associated with. I’ve been leaving food and water out in my garage for a couple stray cats. One day I noticed the water had tons of dirt in it and thought that was weird. It was all going well until I looked out and there was a big ass raccoon eating the food. And because I just couldn’t handle becoming emotionally attached to it I started yelling at it and started acting like I was gonna chase it. Poor thing just looked at me like “Bro I’ve been coming here for a month, are you serious?” and then ran away. Haven’t seen it in a while because I took the food and water away and I keep the garage shut. Feel horrible about it but like…I have a small dog. Just can’t risk it. I’m pretty certain it wouldn’t try to harm me because of how much it’s seen me at this point. Wicked skittish to the point where if I started turning the door knob it ran away. My whole point in all of this is they’re much more aggressive if they’re with their babies or if they’re trying to shelter there. If it’s just a raccoon wandering around trying to get some food, it’s wayyy less likely to attack you.

  Why would you not just get over your own fear and leave him be. A rake to take on a racoon? Just seen a pensioner with 25 on him eating and friendly as anything. This was lame of u 💁🏽‍♀️💯
