    Surprising that rolling that looped end would make that kind of difference.

    Exact issue I had two weeks ago with my first time ever changing my own strings / cables , Phase 4 33 . Called Gas , Aaron got on the phone and set me right ... All measurements and poundage back to spec, cam timing perfect . Best customer service you could ask for . Since then have also changed strings and cables on my Phase 4 29 and my Triax , no issues , Aarons direction made it easy ....

    I assume you would do the same procedure with the yoke cables, as far as putting rolls into the loops? Is there a similar affect to draw weight with the yokes being rolled up vs having unrolled from install/shipping? Ive heard of micro adjusting timing on mathews with yoke loops. Your insight is appreciated.

    If this is put into the loop that connects to the yoke splitter…. It seems like the tension of the cow hitch is all it’s got to hold it….. wouldn’t that work it’s way out over time?

  • @EricGriggs-f6r
    @EricGriggs-f6r20 күн бұрын

    Actually, the tension that is on the cable is all that’s needed to hold the rolls in place.

    Just tried this and completely jacked my bow up . I got like 1 pound difference and severely put it out of time . Lame

    If your open ends are already rolled and if done correctly and the same on both ends, it shouldn’t mess up any timing. You may still have to make small adjustments to the loop end of the cable to fine tune the timing. Also, not all string manufacturers build their cables to be rolled up in this area. For those that do, this is the most effective way to make major changes.

    So my first go around with installing my new strings on my Phase 4 33 didn't go too well, that's because I did not follow specific procedures, needless to say I spoke to Aaron over the phone, had another go at it with a new set and everything ended up spot on, had to adjust one cable to get my cam timing proper, but once all was said and done, Peak weight was exactly 65.3, Spot on, axle to axle was 33, brace height was 6.5, my draw length was exactly 29, everything to spec the way it should be, so do yourself a favor and watch this video 250 times lol and follow specifically when he speaks on the yoke twists and The cable twists ...

    Is it normal that after installing new strings and cables to find that your peak draw weight might have dropped 4/5 pounds, and is the correction twisting the cables each cable the same amount to get that draw weight back ?

    Is the cable routing on the rollers at 12 minute mark correct, and is that the same on the phase 4 29? I am seeing discrepancy on this as I install my new GAS string.

    People can say whatever they want about price bla bla bla. I bought a set for a fairly obscure bow (Martin Carbon Featherweight). There were a few missteps but, Aaron went above and beyond to get me squared away. OK it took three tries to get it right BUT, no hassles no complaints no BS. Bow is back together and shooting great! Thank you, Aaron and GAS, I'm a customer for life.
