Its not a great vid with lots of detail..My Impression is that the animal is a Gray Whaler shark (Gray reef shark) .I believe the Gray whaler is endangered, so a sighting under such routine conditions would e a small bit of good news.

Nice one!! Touched in on this myself at one point, the weight in the alloy floor really does help the sibs cut through the water with less bouncing around, just feels better but I love the air floor for a good messing session 😅😅 You should take it out on abit of a bigger swell, you'll enjoy it! Air time 😆👍

Great video , the sea looked really inviting, does the aluminium floor make the boat more rigid and stable and is the aluminum floor quicker to install and remove.

99% basking. The fin does look more like Gw at the start due to the angle, however, you can see its rounded when it dives and swims across the kayak. Another point worth mentioning, the mouth is white, baskings have huge white open mouths when feeding…until their startled :)

When I was a kid in the 70's, we often used to swim near basking sharks off the sand bank away from the shore. My Mum said that basking sharks were often seen off the beaches of Poole when she was young, following mackerel shoals.

Could I ask about the outboard , I am aware it’s by far the most recommended for that sib Could I ask the following does it need an extended throttle handle or is standard okay for reach and control and comfort and what length shaft have you gone for . Yours is manual start was that a considered choice over electric many thanks

Hi Pete, I don’t use a tiller extension handle, I’ve got one but never felt the need, I went for manual pull start purely as the outboard is a little lighter and I wouldn’t need a battery with me 😊

The soulo zip will come undone very fast if the wind gets round the other side. If that happens, and the zip opens, game over!! Some people tie the Soulo zip shut. The best tent that will regularly take winds like that is the force 10 classic; which beats the soulo by miles in atrocious weather. The force 10 classic tent stays warmer also. The Soulo will weaken with every whooping that it takes; and wind like that will eventually rip it's (supposedly unrippable) fabric. Fall asleep in a Soulo with 80MPH+ winds, have an uneasy night. Fall asleep in a F10 classic in the same conditions, have a restful night sleep and enjoy the noise of the rain and tent flapping (but being literally rest assured it will be there in the morning).
