There are actual scientists who specialize in sharks who talk about this very thing. Dude said there is "one seal in this very area", one seal and a pod of 5000 seals isn't really enough to support White Sharks. I'm not saying you won't see the random one-off white shark in the area, but as it stands it isn't that agreeable for them to be sustainable. Check out Shark Bytes, he is a LITERAL shark scientist.

Great videos mate, really interesting, not surprised about cornwall blocking the reaserch incase they find something because of tourist trade, years ago my mate got caught in a rip tide early one morning while we were body boarding , got took a long way out said himself he couldn't of held on much longer full Rnli rescue job.... Rib out from Newquay, two 4x4s on the beach turned up, we were hugely grateful to them, they said "dont worry, your not the first you won't be the last, we do it every day, sometimes several times a day in the summer"..... Yet it dosent ever make the local news, got body boards n wetsuits to sell 😉

  • @bricky5862

Doesn’t make the local news because it happens non stop, that’s not controlling the media, it’s just it’s virtually no news at all to local life, if they were hiding that from the media then there was a big slip up in making that documentary 'rnli saving lives at sea’ 🤣

  • @seanmartin1565

    @seanmartin1565

Of course tourists getting caught in a riptide doesn't make the local news. It happens tens of times a day all around the Cornish coast. It's not because there is some big conspiracy, it's because it's not newsworthy to locals. The tide goes in, the tide goes out, the sea can be calm, the sea can be rough, the beaches can have riptides, some days they don't. Cornwall blocking the research, it suspicious though. Anyone with any sort of sense knows great whites have been or are here in some capacity.

Not sure hauling great white sharks out of the water on a cradle is ethical, despite what OCEARCH might say. They've never actually asked a great white shark if they have an issue with it. But as long as science gets the info it wants I guess they are ok with doing it.

Guy had a 2kg burley bag out, and there was a massive workup of Kahawai fish just in fromt of us. The great white was obviously hungry and smashed the guys 2kg burley in one gulp! Then proceeded to circle around for a while. Amazing thing to see.

There was talk of sightings in the western end of the channel in the 1970's, but some very good shark anglers/boats were looking for them and nothing was confirmed. Trevor Housby caught and photographed a shark that was returned and some did try to say it was a Great White, but the angler didn't think so. I was out with Frank Vinnicombe in the 70's and he was one of the top shark boat skippers at that time, he thought there could be GW's in our waters, but had no evidence. I think they would have been around, but who knows, with the return of the herring and with them the tuna, they could just encourage fish from the Mediterranean to visit our waters.

The fact your using "uk big cat sightings" to try back up your claims does you no favours,if you said to any biologist or naturalist that their has been verified evidence of big cats in the uk you'd be absolutely laughed at,for starters no such thing as a panther,it's a melanistic leopard or jaguar, secondly if you had any clue about their behaviours you'd know it's absolutely impossible for them to populate Britain undetected for decades. Great whites can and probably entered uk waters in the past, however it is unlikely apart from the odd stray that their is a seasonal population considering how rare and endangered they are in the Mediterranean/north east Atlantic.

A guy in Canada caught a juvenile a few months ago of the coast of Nova Scotia and the water temp at the time averages between 12-16 Celsius so the UK waters are well within range. I agree the most likely proof will be a tagged shark popping up off the west coast somewhere however keep your cameras on while you're out doing other things! I saw in the news recently that Blue Fin Tuna are back in big numbers off Cornwall. I believe the Mediterranean Great White population follow the Tuna there. So if there are increasing number of Tuna in UK waters that’s another key prey item for the White Sharks in addition to the seals.

Great video as i also believe it's just a matter of time before a Great White is spotted in UK waters. They are known to swim in the waters of Maine and Nova Scotia Canada with sea temps similar to that of UK waters.

I live in NOLA or Louisiana in the US now its been extremely rare that the great whites visit the Gulf of Mexico below Louisiana! My cousin was fishing for Redfish at the mouth of the Mississippi River and he was bringing in a bullRed and something smashed it on the way to the boat and low and behold a 13 foot great white hits the side of the boat trying to get what's left of the Redfish off the hook! My cousin was in a 19 foot boat and the shark freaked him out so he picked up and left after the shark wouldn't leave and kept circling the boat! My cousin's brother saw one a couple of years ago in the same spot! At the mouth of the Mississippi we have speckled sea trout and Redfish which are being chased by huge tuna so it makes sense that the great white sharks are starting to show up around the area! Also there's a guy who was spearfishing off the coast of Mississippi and Alabama and he ran into a great white as well so it looks like the sharks are definitely visiting the Gulf of Mexico more frequently!

That is just pathetic. Not letting an amazing expedition come to our waters because of snobs. If sharks are here, they have probably been here a long time. Conforming it won't change that fact. I hope some day people do confirm it, even if it is a paddle boarder or even more amazing, yourself. Then the snobs won't be able to say jack. Anyway, loved to see another shark video good Sir. I also love your integrity. I sure hope you capture whales, sharks, be amazing to see them. That said, I love all your content. And I really hope to one day see proof of Great whites in English waters.

The warmest sea temps in the uk during thr summer months are recorded around that area just before the thames starts. Just west of there (London) is where the warmest summer temps are recorded so since that area doesn't allow the sea to mix aa much as other areas the sea temps tend the be the highest in the uk there. During the winter it would be Cornwall, specifically the isles of scilly.

I think that the return and increase in the bluefin tuna population in the inshore waters around the southern half of the UK, would indicate that GWs are present due to the similarity in body temperature regulation and tuna could be another food source for GWs.

Between the first & second world wars, Charles Laughton's brother ran a boat out of the north east, and have seen pictures of the Blue fin tuna, that his rich clientele caught which were500+ lb.They were there following the huge herring population that made it's way up the east coast, look it up, never seen tuna this big. Charles Laughton was a famous English actor who played Quasimodo, he was in Spartacus and many other high profile films, I saw the pictures in an old magazine about British heritage, I believe GWs have been coming here since the seal colony was established.

Ask the shark trust about the seals found on the south Wales coast i gave them the photos 6 years ago One had a 14 in bite radius from its just behind its eye brows to half way along its shoulder blades. It was 10 ft above high water level and there was blood spatter on the shingle around the wound.

Im still trying to dig out an pld photograph i had, from years ago. I went to Exmouth, Devon, and we went out very far off the Jurrasic coast, looking for dolphins. We didnt find any, but on our way back, we saw a dorsal fin , it wasnt a baskin or a porbeagle, as the shark was very aggressive , and curiuos . The underbelly was white, and it was at least 18-20 foot. The conditions were perfect and the water temp was adequate also. I got a good photograph of the fin ,and part of the upper body , im trying to find it for you dude

There’s big tuna in British waters nowadays, and this is a staple diet for great white sharks and they will follow the food source so I say 100%. There are great whites in British waters. It was said by scientists 20 years ago that in 10 years, there will be great whites of the British coast. It’s 20 years now.

I love Whites. This is the first video of yours I caught. What are you hoping for when they finally do get there ? I hope they're protected. If you have a big seal population it shouldn't be surprising for them to finally show. 99 percent of the time they don't bother w divers. I hope you are a shark supporter!! I wouldn't go inflatable while searching for whites though. They mistake them for prey and often deflate one or more side w a test bite. Not to get the occupants, but if you are out there alone you can get hypothermia amongst other things. 💙🦈💙

Have you seen that video where it shows a GW tearing a massive rip into the inflatable part on the side of a boat during the filming of a documentary?!?! Wishing you the best on your adventures!😊
