Having been to the USA many times with family living there we love the USA. Many Americans we have spoken to have never left America and few have never been out of their state or own a passport which is rather sad, I understand that because they have all they need where they live. We were once in Nappa California and we stopped to buy some dried fruit in a local shop, we were talking to a group of guys who thought we were Australians, one guy did not even know where England was, another said he had a cousin that lived near England , when I asked where he genuinely stated ‘Naples’ (which is in Italy) We have met many friendly Americans and would love to live there.
Most American accents are very nasal despite regional differences. Southern or mid west accents are the nicest. New York accents are like London accents they make the user sound aggressive and unintelligent.
Some fun facts about Scotland: Capital City is Edinburgh. Largest city is Glasgow. Unfortunately Glasgow is famous for having very low life expectancy and being a very violent city. However the centre of Glasgow isn't really that bad. Scotland's patron Saint is Andrew. Specialist Scottish foods are Haggis, Smoked Fish, Caramel Wafers, Scotch Whiskey, Irn Bru and Scotch Eggs. Scotland is very famous for having many Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. People from Scotland are generally very warm and welcoming. Famous people from Scotland Alexander Graham Bell, John Logie Baird, Adam Smith, Sean Connery, Gerard Butler, Robert Burns, Susan Boyle, James McAvoy, Ewan McGregor, David Tennant and Karen Gillan.
Some fun facts about Wales. They have more sheep than humans in Wales. Their patron saint is St David. They grow and eat a lot of leeks in Wales, a leek is an aromatic vegetable that belongs to the Onion family. The Welsh people in general are quite proud and hardy. Famous people who are from Wales are Sir Anthony Hopkins, Richard Burton (deceased), Jonathan Pryce and Christian Bale was born in Wales but moved to Oxfordshire at a relatively young age and although strictly speaking you could insist that he was Welsh, nearly all his childhood friends and memories were from Oxfordshire in England. Catherine Zeta Jones, actress and wife of Michael Douglas is also Welsh. British comedians Rob Brydon and Paul Whitehouse are both Welsh. And Comedienne Dawn French also hails from Wales. Wales is well known for its mountains, and its railways. In fact there's a funny movie set in Wales called The Englishman who went up Hill but came down a Mountain, starring people like Hugh Grant, Ian McNiece, Colm Meaney and Tara Fitzgerald.

For all American’s, if you want a good lesson on Scotland, our sayings and general humour, you only need to watch Billy Connolly or Kevin Bridges to get a feel for us or hop in a plane and come visit. If you do come, don’t just go to tourist Edinburgh.. explore places like Glasgow, Ayrshire and the highlands. I’ll guarantee you’ll go away home across the pond with memories to last a lifetime!

To read Weĺsh you need to know the Welsh alphabet. The language is phonetic (fonetic) unlike English.
