  Good lord, this freakin' worked. Cost me 2 trips to Microcenter to find the right screwdriver for $20 for those tiny screws which was the first hurdle!

  DO YOU REALIZE THAT YOU ASSEMBLED THE INTERPOSER BOARD THE WRONG WAY? THE CORNER WITH THE ARROW MUST MATCH THE ARROW ON THE MOBO. YOU PLACED IT THE OPPOSITE WAY.

  I have lenovo yoga 6i. It’s like 6 month old. I am having same problem. But in my case it is showing the yoga in startup but after that it’s full black. What can i do now? My laptop has warranty.

  Thank you. I found your video very helpful in changing my Alienware m15 R3 battery! 2018 laptop. The original Battery was bulging bad in 2023-2024. I bought a 99 watt/hr for $40 on Amazon. 9NJM1 is the battery model.

  Thank you for the video! But What happens it doesn’t not power up after all the steps? My power light blinks once and doesn’t turn on, I plugged in charger and orange light is blinking as well

  Thanks for the awesome walkthrough - I think I would have lost my mind trying to figure that out without it. After a lot of cursing of Dell, several unscrewings of things I'd screwed up again, and one cut finger (I didn't know a blood sacrifice was required) my machine has sprung back into life. Never, ever changing the battery again though - I'll just dropkick it down the garden next time.

  Please please ... My mother / Logic board is dead ( A nasty spill and my fault ) on this model can you replace them yourself or are the parts all internally "serial number locked "to each other by Apple, once I have implanted the new board can I do a restore from time machine Ext Hard Drive. Not worried about voiding the warranty as it's old tech now days and probs not worth it.

  Nop Nope Nope, Lenovo makes it's laptops already too broken, I think I'd rather buy an external keyboard. Besides I only have one slightly faulty key, and mostly wanted to replace it for one with backlight. Not worth the risk. I'll just make my desk larger and use external keyboard. Still, very informative. Thanks for the video.

  Excellent! Thank you. This is the second time I've had to replace the top case on my Lenovo Ideapad 5 15IIL05. It seems to me that the hinges are too stiff so they put way to much tension on the screw mounts. This time I loosened the nut at the end of the pivot rod by a quarter turn before I put them back on. The lid opens very easy now and still stays put. I'm hoping this will prevent the need to replace the back cover again.
