Guy looks like a Ferengi from Star Trek with those ears
Mate, do you work in the UK? I really wish to have a meeting wirh you
Finding this video is like finding the Holy Grail! I’m new to SMP and one thing I’ve noticed are arrogant artists free-handing hairlines with no strategy other than their ego. What I’ve noticed with those artists are all of their clients have a hairline that is higher on the left side as if that’s their company’s signature touch. It’s as if their clients don’t deserve an explanation of the method to their madness. This video on the other hand, gives me hope to find an artist who uses a method that mimics nature’s recipe. If I was near, I would go to this guy in a heartbeat.
It doesn't hurt that his freckles match.
The scars look good actually, never saw that before.
Amazingly candid and honest video from a master. One should have realistic expectations of what to expect over time and this is VERY useful information.
The one thing people don't talk about enough is the shine under certain lighting
Recently had my botched job fixed, I really appreciate a good SMP technician!
Looks great!
I was dead set on Mirko from Men's Ink in Italy, then I saw this. Amazing how there are zero impressive clinics in North America. Great job!
Hi bro recently video upload please I am indian 😂😂😂
Agree that faded headline looks mega 👍
Perhaps the best SMP I’ve ever seen done. Word of warning for blonde, grey and light haired people. You need to keep your hair as short as this guy for it to look natural. Any longer and the sunlight will reflect on the hair follicles causing it to glisten/sparkle. This will obviously look dumb if only your true hair glistens, while your SMP doesn’t, giving away its not real hair.
Such natural results 👌🏽
Hello how long it keeps?
The main reasons to avoid it: (1) clinics not really knowing exactly what they're doing, inconsistent methods and approaches from different practitioners. (2) Looks dreadful in modern, artificial light. Often doesn't show, or looks patchy, shows up the hairline (hence I like Creative Scalp's offering of softening it). (3) Shaving your dome every day. You can get a bit older, just not care so much, and wish you could go back to how it was before. I've experienced all of the above.
Just started as a SMP artist and tell you what, this video is golden Hairlines I struggle with due to it being so important etc but this is going to help big time Legend
7:38 the temple areas… I’d suggest you could have separate content/video/training courses on temples alone. I think even the most experienced artists would benefit from taking a specialist temple forming course / refresher. Just an idea but hopefully useful to you.
Does he shave his head with a razor/foil shaver now it’s finished? Or must it be always using trimmers? Concerned about imbalance of tattooed skin next to areas of hair growth. Can’t make sense of it at the moment. From far away they all look good but if you’re face to face with someone and you’re looking at half tattoo on skin and half clippered length hair especially on the temple/sides like I have, it must surely look weird and obviously fake seeing hair follicles appearing further back on the head making the painted skin obvious to the eye. Sorry, anxiety is at full blast now because I’ve had my first session with an artist I’m trying hard to keep faith with.
Length of stubble left on each client is different according to the natural density of their native hair. Some choose clippers, others choose razor or foils… Your artist should hopefully be able to blend it through seamlessly and you’ll work out what is best for you as the treatment progresses.
@@creativescalps5962 thank you, I realised the artist was working on the assumption I was having clipper length because that’s what they feel looks best while I was assuming it would be how I always have it’d shaved 😅 get there in the end 🙏🏼
After SMP, do they have to maintain a certain hair length or can they razor/foil shave the scalp? Wondering about imbalance of tattooed skin next to areas of hair growth. Can’t make sense of it at the moment. From far away they all look good but if you’re face to face with someone and you’re looking at half tattoo on skin and half clippered length hair especially on the temple/sides like I have, it must surely look weird and obviously fake.
Some of the best results ive seen but all these companies charge way too much for this ... I get the good ones are skillled and its a specialist job but i cant see how they can justify £1500/2000 for something that only lasts a few years by their own admission....these firms could easily half the price and still make a very nice profit but they capitilise on insecure mens desperation... If the results lasted 10 years it would be more appealing but they would prob do a lot more business and make more money overall if they reduced their prices...truth is , they dont really care about helping people but soley making money
Is the black carbon in the pigment a toxic substance to the body? are their other toxic ingredients that cause harm? We all want to look better but at what cost to our health?
If you had pure carbon yes I’m sure it’s very harmful but no the inks are made very safely
Hi Guys…. Have my sessions booked in for a few months time with Mark, nervous but excited too! I have my hair cut at grade 0.5 at present, is that too long for SMP, should I go shorter for first session? Also would you be able to recommend clippers/shaver to be able to do myself post? Many thanks and more vids please 👍
0.5 is still too long for smp, 0 or razor
It really depends on the density of your native hair… we can assess this when you arrive. But as a rule SMP is usually better suited to a closer cut. And yes we will show you a selection of clippers and shavers you can try 👍🏼 Look forwards to seeing you soon …
Go close as you can. After your session(s) you cannot shave for 4 or more days. After your skin heals and you take that 1st shave, you will start to see the reborn you.
@@dixeyyy452my artist said absolutely not for razor or zero or it won’t look natural. I’m struggling to understand what’s going on with the different advice.
@@creativescalps5962when would razor/foil shaver apply to a case? And when would you need to keep a certain length/buzz cut.
does Creative scalps have branches in Canada?
We are not present in Canada I’m afraid.
When can i go in the sun and put sunscreen on?
After your initial healing stage … 10 days - 2 weeks is plenty of time.
Going to get in touch with you guy's soon, the results look great.
A recent Swedish study found that tattoos caused a 21% increase in blood cancers and that the size of the tattoo had little effect on this percentage. I’ve also heard of people getting swollen lymph nodes as a reaction to the ink both with tattoos and SMP. My question is do you know the difference in ink composition and are SMP inks ‘safer’? Interested in possibly getting SMP in the future but as it’s a much smaller industry than the tattoo industry there’s little info on its safety, particularly over he long-term if you’re getting touch ups over the years.
Hello… Yes swollen lymph nodes is a rare reaction that people can get from the SMP . I believe this is more to do with the needle stimulation on the scalp than a reaction to the ink. Anyone who has had this reaction that I know of has reported that it lasted a maximum of a week and there was no problem. With regards to the ink and cancer, I’m no doctor but with SMP there is no contraindication as we are a lot shallower in the skin so should not enter the blood stream. SMP ink relative to tattoo ink should be classed as the same, we mix it for different shades differently but essentially it is the same product. I hope this helps ?
What do you recommend when smp is simply not sticking / staying?
The artist should be able to work out why and adjust from there…
Bravo!
Impressive work. Would you consider a video on your previous clients results years after the smp treatment has had time to 'settle'? You clearly have a skill for very realistic looking smp (the best I've seen) However, I cant help but still be sceptical with regards to how it looks 12 months+ later as doesn't the ink migrate, etc? Thanks!
Hello Yes I already have some videos on healed SMP results but more will come soon . You are welcome to visit our clinic to see the results in real life, no better visual than that 👍🏼
@creativescalps5962 thats great to know thank you!
Nice job 👍
Just noticed your website on this video's description cannot be reached. But it works by removing the leading www.
Thankyou 🙏🏼
I have smp 4 sessions and I think it's too dark Im gonna have to get it removed.
Can you share a photo?
Amazing results 👍

Excellent video. I'm looking forward to my session with you Marc. I need to have my front faded and blended in just like how you've done with this client.
Sounds good! It’s a tricky job but one I enjoy 😊
8:28 to my eye (I’m not expert) it looks like there’s still that balding look at the back… of course not as bad as it was to start but seems to still have that distinct contrast between the natural horse shoe line and the top. Great he’s happy and I guess in person maybe looks different… maybe just me.
Yes it’s a fine balance of making the back blend in without painting it on and going with too much and causing it to be over saturated .. Different lighting scenarios trick the eye … We can always add a little more if needed down the line…
I’m booked in with an artist for my first session soon, what would you say is an effective timescale/range between session 1 and 2. Here it was 2 weeks right?
Yea 1 - 2 weeks is fine . No dramas if the artist is good 👍🏼
@@creativescalps5962 first session done, opted for 2 weeks, cheers for the feedback.
This is a perfect example of what SMP should be. The whole point of SMP is to place pigment in hair follicles so that you look less bald. Nowadays it seems most companies are trying to tattoo hair on which isn’t the point imo.
Where would you end the SMP on someone who is totally bald? Do you only do the top of the head and not super far down the sides/back?
You can carry the SMP through the sides and back, I like it to gradually fade out the lower it gets to keep it looking good 👍🏼
Looks like it will need a renewal every once in a while
Correct , yes 👍🏼
Amazing
You’re golden! 🤩Thank you for such a detailed video, most ppl don’t even get the knowledge breakdown in training! All hail Creative Scalps 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
You’re welcome 😇
You mentioned cutting hair after day 5? Does that mean on day 5? Also can we use a razor to cut hair on this day?
Yes it’s an approximate. You can razor cut but I’d suggest to just be gentle as the skin is still healing 👍🏼
What model clippers?
Wahl or Andis T-cuts are good 👍🏼
Any studios in Scotland?
Nope, sorry
Damn, i had 2 sessions costing $2000 total American by a reputablesmp artist. Im happy with the outcome, but my artist did his own thing, and never asked me what hairline i want, and 2 10 hour sessions with 1 5min break was excruciating PAIN!!! Wither way im happy with my results...
Wow, that is some long sessions 😬
What are the difference in shades that you use one or two shades difference or or more?
Usually 1 shade difference on each session
