    Love love your videos, commentary, and energy! I hope this doesn’t come off as… strange (?), but your vids are just as enjoyable to me as Dagnel’s and he’s my fave AC KZreadr soooo- I’m honestly surprised at the uniqueness and fun of your challenges, great work :>

    Yess! I just thought about that too haha. Theyre very similiar but at the same time highlight different aspects of acnh gameplay. Dagnel does more collecting, fishing, bug catching, while Pepper expresses herself creatively more with island designs, custom patterns and doesnt care about speed in challanges that much. Both are very knowledgeable about the games tho, both have great sense of humor and both enjoy themselves playing the game and make me motivated to play myself :) I think it would be cool to see them competing against eachother in a challenge one day

    you come up with the craziest challenges. i would have liked it more if you were focused on showing how to decorate such a small space as opposed to planting stuff randomly in order to get 5 stars, but to each their own :)

  • @peppersprout
    @peppersprout4 күн бұрын

    So I don't focus on decorating initially because I need to play through the beginning anyway to get the build tools every time, so I like to spice things up with silly challenges. That's why stuff is thrown around willy-nilly in these challenges! Once I have the build tools, I clean things up and decorate with either makeovers or challenges. I do think that the "decoration" videos are covered a lot more by others than the "messy challenge" videos, so I don't mind doing both! I really enjoy the whole process! (also I have a decorating video and then a decorating challenge planned after this next video!)

    haven’t found anyone asking it so far but what exactly is the transparent dot in the corner of the tiles for?

  • @peppersprout
    @peppersprout13 күн бұрын

    If there are no transparent pixels in the custom design, it will just lay on top of vanilla pathing. During 20:20 , watch the left path closely when I change the tile from fully painted to one with a transparent pixel. It will fix itself to the dirt path and under the grass once the change occurs!

    You should just copy the pattern before you start a second one, if you're going to use the same palette. So much easier! But thanks for this, it's pretty inspiring.

  • @peppersprout
    @peppersprout14 күн бұрын

    Thank you! I do that for the "path" example! Also for the borders after the initial horizontal and vertical. It's nice to have a base pattern :) It's a personal choice I do otherwise! Since there's no easy way of copying just a palette after the shape is ironed out, I write down the palette when I'm tweaking colors at the end in my usual gameplay. I thought I'd show it here (like with making the targets and noise by hand) to show that customs are indeed tedious and slow sometimes, and it's not because an artist is "bad." Though I do feel kind of "bad" myself since I've been called out for that small scene twice now? lol

    awesome video! i've been making custom designs for a while so i knew most of this already but i could still take away some tips like putting the middle colour where the highlight and shadows meet. the one thing i really struggle with is texturizing designs to make them look more natural. i'll definitely try out the checkerboard pattern technique

  • @peppersprout
