Married2Travel

Hello and thank you for visiting our channel.

We are Mark and Sheila. We were born in Philippines and moved to New York at the ages of 10 and 11.
For the past 30 years we lived in New York with our families.
We love traveling and our journey to explore the world started over 10 years ago.

For the past 5 years we dreamed of leaving New York and moving back to Asia, specifically Philippines. However, life has other plans and we are grateful for our detour to Malaysia. We moved to Malaysia in March 2024. We love this country and its people. We look forward to making this place our home and exploring everything it has to offer.

You will find videos about our life as an expat in Malaysia, and our travels during our free time.

RM400 to spend on a Grab to Malacca is a lot, and I assume you've spent another RM400 to get back to KL. You could have rented a basic car for the weekend for less than RM100 a day. To get around, use Waze or Google Maps on your phone. There are many hotels and AirBnBs within walking distance of Jonker Street. When I go to Malacca, I stay near Jonker Street, park my car, and walk there most of the time, as most attractions are around Jonker Street.

You should try Batik painting while you are here in Malaysia. Next time you come back to visit Malacca, you should try out their famous traditional Baba and Nonya costume and take memorable photos.

Please eat moderately in Malaysia. I met foreigners who studied in Malaysia have suffered of Diabetes. Due to high sugar intake in Malaysia food. To live healthily in Malaysia. Please eat less oily food and moderate sweet drink. Malaysia food are delicious but high in sodium, cholesterol and saturated fat ! Heart disease rate are high in Malaysia due to ignorance of healthy food intake 🤔. Please enjoy your stay in Malaysia 🇲🇾 ❤
