How much did it cost to get all the tubes for the frame?
I cant believe I am just now discovering this channel! You guys do some awesome stuff, I am designing a fuel tank for a car where we have had baffling issues. The design ive been thinking of is very very similar to yours. I was curious about any updates on the performance especially for the sump area for your pickup tube as mine runs an external pump as well and I am looking to build a sump just like that!
Your videos are really really interesting, I’m currently studying vehicle engineering with a focus on the ICE and my biggest concern is that I know when I’ll finish the studies that I probably won’t be able to do a single thing or most things you’ve done in this series which is a big problem. I’ve bought some books on vehicle dynamics and I’m planning to have a look at them by myself but without some practical examples it’ll probably be tough.
Mate, just came across this channel. What a resource. Looking to purchase a formula vee for next year, but the idea of building is tempting now.
Is there a way i could get the dimmenssions for that car cuz man its hard😔 I am 17yr old and i have been trying to build a race car, i just cant figure out how to do the frame and i feel lost to be honest
I simply race all the time it’s my life I just need a person to give me a shot and let me race
I’ve been trying to get into Motorsport for a long while I can’t really afford at and there are no tracks around me
Oromo
It’s such a shame that you had to get rid of the mold. What’s the best way to keep it from breaking apart?
What kind of foam did you use for this? Im in the process myself and everything I can find is crazy expensive haha.
Is there a 3d model that I can download?
Great video
7 years later and this vid is still providing value. Nice. I must say though it looks heavy as. Whats the end weight?
sasta mal banya re
Are you still here?
a friend of mine told me to not use Bondo fiberglass resin to strengthen and waterproof paper-backed foamcore because it would "melt" it. Is there any truth to that? I wanted to make an undertray for the rear area of my Honda Civic
How did you design the bellcrank? Im curious how you came up with the lengths and moments of action.
I think a HANS is useless and not worth the price at that level. A neck brace is largely enough. Remember, in the 80s turbo era and during the wing cars era in F1, racing drivers had nothing around their neck but miles and training for some of them.
thanks😀
Thanks for this video. I'm going to sub
can i have your Chassis blue print/design?
Are you in Formula 1 now?
Please help me . I need your help
Hello, we are beginner team from India. We are currently at design phase. But designing of the suspension was found to be very hard due to lack of study materials. Can you or anybody from the community please guide us where we can find the resources for the designing process of the suspension. Thank you.
Hii great work I have a doubt how did you fix the chassis and the fiber glass body together ?
that's a very intrinsic piece of talent and perseverance you've got in you. so cool.
Incredibly helpful and inspiring series! Getting me motivated to start my own project car! In terms of getting started on design, I am trying to hunt down some CAD for the stock VW parts (engine, front suspension, brakes, steering assembly). Would you be able to share your files or your source? Best of luck in your future racing series!
This is probably the best KZread series I've ever seen. The amount of things that I have learned with it is amazing. Looking forward to learn modding now 🤓, keep it up
rFactor 2 desperately needs a real guide for modding. Please upload a walk through! That would be so nice. Also cant wait to try your car out.
love the video, but can i ask what material you used for the chassis?
what software did u use?
2:35 i need to know how to do this drafting
This is fantastic, do you know the weight of the chassis? Thank you
I'm a game developer who knows nothing about cars watching this so I can make a more realistic chassis than 4 wheels and 4 springs. I really appreciate this video!
Hey man are your tubes hardened?
Simply amazing, other than the wealth of fiberglass body panels you made in your cool design this really reminds me a lot of Formula Ford cars.
The nose dose not give down force.
On the ww if You lower the back too much it drains the oil from the wheel bearing.
Been a while now, did you go ahead with this? I haven't tried the preloaded front suspension yet but I think there is a good chance it might work. I use Automobilista (1) as that was the game I worked on and I know it inside out, except the moments when it turns out I don't know it inside out..
amazing
At the end, you say that testing at the track is not as cost effective. I disagree. Academic calcutions only need one error to render them valueless whereas actual real world testing is where every dynamic is present and correct. It's also a lot more fun at the track than on a spreadsheet!
I bet it painful to throw away the plug! Not criticizing, just curious. The mold sections seemed pretty flexible. Did you have any issues with that or did you wish you had added some ribbing to them?
Awesome videos so far.
"They disappeared by themselves pretty quickly" 🤣
I'm wondering if I should start rallying
9:30 I hear Anakin speaking
Well done my friend, was great to watch your incredible work, I will try to build one too one day 😊
Incredible job, do you know any tutorial to unwrap each tube of the chassis at solidworks?
So this guy used Excel as MatLab? I can't even use Excel as Excel why are people so SMART! Amazing Video!!
how to adjust front camber?
