    I used to go all up in the mountains and caves in my area when i was a kid and look for bugs and animals. i have a genetic disease so im now disabled and cant go outside much watching your videos makes me so happy and makes me feel nostalgic. Ive found many types of isopods around my house and it has been very fun to feel the thrill of turning over stones and bark!

    Wow this is really cool! I keep isopods at home and I've never seen anything like these. Some beautiful isopods you found in China! Did you know that rubber duckies can go for hundreds of dollars for just 10 here?? I imagine some of these other ones would also go for a lot more o.o

    Maybe. In my hometown we have something similar than this one but bigger. We cook it with pork and taste good . They grow on big rocks with soil, the environment similar like here in the video but on the flat ground. Because it’s too hard to clean and no one do the research of how to farm it, so never become a popular food. A kind of wild vegetables for locals.

    Some rare species living in virgin forest, usually very wet with a stream all the way from mountain. I always explor limestone mountains, they dont have stream so I need find underground stream or some walls full of algae, means its usually wet. Almost all colorful species I found was on limestone mountains. Not on the top, not at the foot of the mountain, but you have to find some part of the mountain where could hold moisture for all the time

    @@asianatureexploring even the common ones that roll up i cant find im in the philippines and i pretty much looked at every biome here yet cant find any isopods that roll up. my guess is that due to the popularity of cubaris/filipinodillo species here, they poached it until theres barely any left.

    Amazing! Just subscribed. Am I the first to comment? I wish you to pin my comment if so. I heard that the residues of some incenses and candles can actually be toxic and have an effect on the environment. Maybe some of those were close to these dangerous incenses and somehow mutated. That's just what I think, I am not sure of anything, but this is the reason some people don't like candles and incenses here in Brazil.

  • @asianatureexploring
    @asianatureexploring2 ай бұрын

    This mutation group don't have any incenses near them. They were found near a underground water cave, ppl who live in the temple use this water for living, so very clean environment. The incenses side of the mountain can only found Porcellio pruinosus

  • @matteoganz8999

    beautiful! I’ve seen quite an impressive amount of mutations actually occurring in the wild in some species. One of the most noticeable is in Cylisticus esterelanus and even Vandel talked about how many depigmented specimens there are (Vandel, 1962b)

  • @asianatureexploring
    @asianatureexploring3 ай бұрын

    我觉得有好几千种,尤其是岩壁系列的鼠妇,我们只是暂时叫它Troglodillo属,但那么多种岩壁鼠妇,真的都是T属的吗?研究鼠妇的学者和文献都很少,分类方面的资料更少,陆生等足目的分类学是不是还处在萌芽阶段?我也不是科班出身,所以只能用我自己的疑问来回答您的疑问,哈哈。 最近几年也正是因为鼠妇的观赏价值,越来越多品种被发现,但是并没有被发表,以我自己的观察来看,有些物种相隔不远就有不同的表现,它们到底是不是同一个物种?如果专门做一个课题讨论这两个山头的绿色鼠妇到底是不是同一种,应该很难能申请来经费吧
