JJArtworks is an art and entertainment company founded by artist and CEO J.J. Long. The JJArtworks KZread Channel aims to inspire and serve as a support system for other artists and creative entrepreneurs as they build their own businesses and personal brands. Let me be the first one to comment on your video, my friend. We connected sometime last year, and I’m really glad we did. A lot of what you have said definitely resonates within me. I’m gonna be turning 50 pretty soon, and I am still trying to get my shit together here, lol. I’ve been an artist for over 35 years plus, and I’m constantly trying to figure out new ways to get myself out there almost every day, even while I’m sitting at my day job Monday through Friday and literally sitting down thinking to myself, I could be sitting at my desk right now and working on some new pieces and working on my next sales.I love hearing what you have to say, and I am very much looking forward to following your journey as I continue on my path. Have a great rest of your week, JJ!🎉
Thanks for the kind words buddy, I truly appreciate! Yes, the artist struggle is real, it's a tough lifestyle and I'm happy that you found value through my little video and that a lot of what I said resonates with you. There's been many times where I've thought to myself, "Man...life would be so much easier if I got a steady 9-5 job and if I just did my art on the side", so I'm super jealous of you're predictable paycheck loll, but the way I've been able to push through is just to beef up sales and marketing by focusing on my art full time. It's definitely not easy, and there's definitely more risk involved, but it's the "thrill of the fight" (cue in "Eye of the Tiger" music!). Thanks for watching buddy, and I look forward to following your art journey as well! ~JJ
How much is this
Excellent ty for taking the time to create and share these videos. So helpful
Glad you enjoyed it Krissy, thanks for watching! ~JJ
I am hosting my first one next week and this was helpful for a refresher. I have not taught since 2009!
Awesome, I'm so happy you found our video helpful. Best of luck at your event and happy painting! ~JJ
Hi JJ, I agree, self care is very important, specially now a days. I do want to add, that although we do share the same fear of missing out, I believe it is so rewarding when we are not exposed to knowing everything that goes on around us, because of how peaceful it is. Its like becoming a minimalist, the lesser things you accumulate around you, the less visual noise you can see. therefore you experience less anxiety, and stress. Wishing you the best.
Thanks for the kind words Joanna, it's greatly appreciated! Yes I 100% agree, self care is super important. Thanks for your wisdom as well. Best of luck with your art journey and keep on pushing forward. I love your minimalist approach as well! ~JJ
Great news but too expensive for paint parties
How do you keep your aprons clean? Don’t people get paint all over them?
Hi Toni, yes paint does get on our aprons so it's fairly impossible to avoid getting paint on them, but customers never complain and it's sort of expected. Just make sure to you wash your aprons often. Best of luck on your journey! ~JJ
Muy interesante!JJ
Thank you ...niiiice 💅
The cover is much better!
How did you convince the restaurant to let you host a sip and paint there?
I would just simply email or call the restaurant to see if they already hold events there, and if they don't, just see if they would be open to the possibility. You never know unless you try! 😀
Thank you so much for the video, loved it...have been planning to conduct a paint party since long, after watching your video ,I feel little more confident, learned lot of new things...hopefully I ll have one soon. Cheers!!
I'm glad our video was helpful, best of luck on your first event! ~JJ
Where do you recommend getting bulk aprons ? And what size and type easel is good for 8x10 canvas
At what time do you do this? Like 15 mins before party start ?
Yes, about 15-20min before the class starts. Thanks for watching!
I love this! Thank you for this video
Not a problem, thank you for watching!
Im hosting my first paint nite, this helped. thank you so much!
Awesome, thanks for tuning in and best of luck with your first event! ~JJ
I've been looking for heavy body acrylics for my paint parties and love the look of these. I went over to Amazon and sadly they are not available in Australia. I hope you do really well with sales for these. 💜💜
Hi, thanks for the kind words, it's greatly appreciated! Thanks for being interested in our paints and thanks also for checking out our Amazon store. Although we don't ship to Australia via Amazon, we can ship from our fulfillment center in MA. We typically use UPS or FedEx for international orders. We'd be more than happy to work with you to try to get our paints over to you in Australia. You can email me directly at [email protected] and I can give you more details. Thanks again for the support! ~JJ & The Team at JJArtworks
Feliz Sabado!

Hey JJ, I just started watching your videos, and what a surprise that you are from around my area. I waent to Lowell last Sunday to buy some art supplies at Van Gogh 's Grear, its an art supply store at 307 Market St. Lowell, MA. Maybe check them out and see if they want to partner with you. I was so excited to find them, because I did not want to drive to Boston to get to an art supply store, nor did I want to go to Michaels either. Hope this helps. Love your videos by the way!
Hi Joanna, thank you so much for the kind words and for watching our videos! Yes, I'm familiar with Van Gogh's Gear and completely forgot of them as a potential partner, so I'll make sure to reach out to them, thanks for the tip! Also, we will have our own showroom/mini retail store at our main headquarters at The Appleton Mills in the next few weeks. We'd love for you to swing by at some point to check out the space and also consider us as an alternative option for your fine art supply needs. We're in the process of coming out with brush sets, canvas packs, etc. as well. Happy creating and please keep in touch! ~JJ
Will do. Thanks for the invite. @@JJArtworksTV
Awesome JJ haven’t seen you in my feed in a while. Gaming miniature painting nights with table for second half of night that some gaming with already set up game to practice would be fun 🤩⚔️🛡️🐉 we had something like that in Australia years ago me and my partner really miss it! Maybe they moved we don’t know.
Hey Erica, thanks for chiming in and for mentioning this great idea! My team is actually already discussing the potential of doing "gaming paint nights", so I'm glad our brains are on the same wavelength lol 😂 , we're just waiting to get our custom brush packs and minis made so we can offer this service full swing. We'll keep you posted when we launch, thanks for being amazing! 🙏🎨🔥
You’re more than welcome JJ!! Wish we were in the USA… we would definitely come along!! Come bring it to Aus! Revive it here. So happy you’re on a roll with your team. Very best wishes with it. May God bless and protect your idea. Lots of love from the land down under. I used to be a paint and sip instructor but my health (fellow bpd) got in the way. Wish you were here we could brainstorm one day. The sky really is the limit. Take care & Gof bless, JoJo my kind of real name lol
@@erica73730 Thanks as always for the kind words and support! I hope all is well with you and you're enjoying your time in Australia. Please keep in touch!
You’re welcome, I’m doing pretty good atm thanks… yes will keep in touch ☀️🌻
Sir cling table cloth you have shown in video. What exactly we should type for ordering product ? Is that available on Amazon ?
Hi Shali, we typically get our table cloth from local retail stores like Party City or Michael's Arts & Crafts store, but I'm sure you can find some good plastic table cloth on Amazon as well. Best of luck on your creative journey!

I believe we bought these at Michael's Arts & Crafts store back in the day. Best of luck!
Amazing news! 🎉

Ay con ese professor quien no aprende 😅❤
thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching, it's greatly appreciated!
Thank you for making this video even though you are sick. I needed to hear your message because I am in the same boat right now. Take care.
Thank you so much for the kind words, it's greatly appreciated! Thanks for watching and I'm happy my message resonated with you. Keep on keeping as well! Happy Holidays! ~JJ
Where do you get those easels? & what brand of paint do you use?
Hi thanks for watching! The easels are water color easels that we purchased at Michael's Arts & Crafts Store, and the paint used in this video is acrylic paint from Blick Art Materials. Although nowadays, we're starting to use our own JJArtworks manufactured brand of acrylic paints that we will be releasing to the public in January :)
Thanks for the info I am in upton ma
Hi can you tell me where I can purchase the ketchup containers that you keep your paint in please
Hi thanks for watching our paint party video, we appreciate the support! We bought the ketchup bottles on Webstaurant, they have plenty of options to choose from. Best of luck and stay creative! ~JJ & The Team at JJArtworks
What bulk paints do you recommend?
We recommend any type of acrylic paint. We don't have a specific brand we use at the moment, but anything that is non toxic and comes off of your skin with soap and water. Stay creative! ~JJ & The Team at JJArtworks
Hey JJ, fellow artist, paint, night, enthusiast, and coordinator here across the nation on the West Coast. I just started watching your KZread video/podcast/tutorials, etc. Very nice content. Quick question, do you have a team of people working with you or for you? In your video you say “We” quite frequently. I pretty much do a lot of my stuff on my own unless I need the help the night of the paint party/paint night. I’ll typically hire one or two people to assist me but I don’t have that much help lol. You seem so crazy busy, and that’s not a bad thing. just try to take a moment and step aside for some you time and smell the roses a little bit. Look, I’m pushing 50 and I’ve been an artist/professional artist for over 30+ years, and I am still struggling to this day, while trying to juggle a full-time day job Monday through Friday. I understand the struggle of trying to accomplish personal goals and dreams. Let’s connect. I have a Instagram myself, and a Facebook page where I also upload much of my art. Look for me at IG @ultimateartist1814 Looking forward to following your adventures! Regards, -Tony
Hi Tony, my apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Thank you SO MUCH for watching our videos and following our content. Life in the office/studio has been a bit hectic now that it's the Fall, so thanks for your patience. I lead a team of people that work for me, but I'm still wearing all of the hats in my business with a couple of key staff that give me specialized help here and there. It's all a balancing act and still something I'm striving towards. I found you on IG and liked you back. Please keep in touch and feel free to reach out and I'll do my best to point you in the right direction. Happy painting and stay creative buddy! ~JJ
Yes great point.. keep going! Look fwd to seeing how you can automate your paint party business and your other ventures.. good luck!
Thanks for the support, we truly appreciate it! We'll definitely keep you posted as our company continues to expand in different ways. Thanks for tuning in!
Hi, I found your Informative videos while Searching for how to teach painting party videos and I found one that says "part 12" and I wanted to know if there is a part 1-11, I can't find them. Thanks in advance ☺️
Hi Jess, thanks for your question and for emailing us on our company email as well! I replied back to your email, but in case you didn't receive it, we have all the training videos on our KZread page underneath the "Paint Party" playlist section. They aren't all labeled as "Part 1" or "Part 2", but they have they same intro and outro scenes, so that is how you'll know it's the same training video series. I hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any other questions and happy painting! ~JJ & The Team at JJArtworks
Hey @JJArtworks !! We do same on our side of the planet, except I use small cotton towels instead of napkins (we wash them after) and also for transparent water cups ( so they can see when water needs to change ) + transparent plates to see the color mix better ! 🙂
Where do you get those specific type of ketchup bottles? Thank you
Webstaurant!
Where can I get easels like yours?
Hi BP, you can find similar easels at Michael's Arts and Crafts Store or Blick Art Materials. Best of luck and happy painting!
Awesome video!
Thanks for the kind words Jessica, we appreciate it!
I'm a Leftie, so i think you should have 1 or 2 setups at the left ends of the table!
Hi Lesley, what a great idea! Thanks for watching and for chiming in, we'll test this out at an upcoming event!
