    Carnivorous mammals always tend to be adorable and I never understood why.... All I know is, we couldn't live without them.... No seriously, we REALLY can't live without them, they play a huge part in our ecosystem.

    They would always take it into their carrier to eat them. They were prized possessions to them so they would always eat them in their carrier as the others would try and steal them if they did not. The bulk of their feedings was in their cage where they would stash them for later.

    What does that mean? My ferret Beavis does that a lot. This is the first time I have ever owned a ferret let alone two. Beavis and Butthead are there names. We adopted them not this November but last November when they were almost one there birthday is march 23rd and so I actually saw another video of you giving them a mouse from the fridge? I have never tried that. If fact the only way I could get Beavis to eat any raw was to blend it with the ferret chow. Which I feed them by spoon twice a day lol

    It can mean different things. With Otto it means he is happy and exited. They also do this if they are being hurt or frightened. but if they are active and running around when they are dooking it generally means that they are content or exited.

    Even though I own a mouse myself and owned multiple mice in my life, thus video is really cute in my opinion. I understand that a lot of animals (including ferrets) are predators, but that doesn't mean I hate rodents (I actually love rodents; especially mice)!

    No. Strictly Carnivorous. They shouldn't* eat fruits or veggies. Although mine loved to steal a bite of banana. And famously, my Milkshake was found shoulders deep in my OATMEAL.....as I was watching a vid on how they are only meat eaters...sigh..... *While they LOVE it, and go to great lengths to steal it...other foods give them diarrhea. They just can't digest it.

    6 months ago we bought a fabric squeaky duck for our ferret. Thought she liked it.....Thought she was playing. Today she showed us she DOES NOT like it , and she relentlessly attacked whomever squeaked it. Namely me. She tore me up today. And she never bites ...UNTIL today with the squeaky duck. So word of caution with some squeaky toys and some ferrets. She now associates me with "bad". So I have to win her back. Just a word of advice and caution.

  • @MarkSavides
    @MarkSavides3 жыл бұрын

    I have had 2 female ferrets that were like this. it is squeaky toy aggression. The best explanation is they are trying to protect the toy, as she thinks you are hurting it. My 2 would run up and attack the dog if the dog was making the squeaky toy squeak. There is one advantage to this. If they ever wondered off or hid and were in deep sleep the squeaky toy would drive them out so we can find them.

    If you have a shed, you might consider leaving food in it to attract live mice which your ferrets could then hunt. And if one's house or apartment has mice- definitely get a pair of ferrets.

  • @maycembercroft9278

    Maybe but the difference is I’m pretty sure these are feeder mice telling by the white coat color which is a lot safer cause you know where your getting them from and it’s a less of a risk of your animal contracting a disease. Also not to mention if other houses near you use rat poison which can pass onto then ferrets.

    Most ferrets will eat in a corner because it's part of their natural instinct. They would hunt their prey and bring it back to their den. Mine get kibble and if they're both awake, they'll take pieces one at a time to different corners and once they have a pile they'll munch away. But if one is sleeping the other will just eat straight from the bowl.
