Im realizing I don't know as much about Clip Studio as i thought and already am getting so much out of this
Why doesn’t mine show page settings??
Are you using pro or EX?
EX. The pro version isn’t nearly as useful for comics
Why don't you use rasterize to change the vector layer and inks to raster?
This video was amazing. Literally the most informative video on webtoon i have seen yet. I finally feel like I know enough to get started. Thank you so much!!!!
As a DAZ user, it IS refreshing to see how much easier it is to pose in CSP. In truth, with DAZ, I tend to BUY canned poses which usually provide at least a starting point. I was entirely unaware of the direct joint selection (big single dot) and how useful that can be. I can save DAZ figures as FBX and if I bring them in one-by-one, the joints remain adjustable. I just like the much greater anatomical detail with the DAZ figures (after all, that's all the devs DO!), but instead of just making screen shots out of DAZ, I may look more at the posing advantages in CSP. New sub here!
Hi
Wow...I thought I was well prepared with the sheets of all angles of my mc, BUT I did not that thing w "registering as material" AAAAH THAT would save me so much time...and yes, I do use vector layers but I did not know about that function of vector lines...THANK U SO MUCH
Needed this video!! Great information!
Thanks for all this wonderful info!
I found this amazingly helpful. I use magic poser but hopefully i can make this work with it. My poses always looked so lame compared to others and it might’ve been because i never adjusted the spine lol. By the way If you have any poses you have generated and would be fine sharing those i would def find use for it.
Brilliant idea with saving headshots or angles for future poses in the webtoon!!!
People are complaint about japan manga side mouth but this girl is example that its real
Subscribed. Unlike a lot of other tutorials, a lot of information packed into a small space!
More tips! I gotta subscribe ^-^ <3
Thank you for the helpful video! This truly helps out a lot :) <3
This is really great, so underrated
Okay, you don't get paid for this, but you *really, really should.* I'm a longtime CSP user and still learned new tricks from you. Please accept this 👍🏾 and a sub as thanks☺️
This video alone deserves to get this channel more subscribers
12:43 if ur someone like me who dosent do clean lineart and when u use filll the entire canvas becomes that color use lasso fill trust me made by god fr and if u want to fill every place use the fill tool on the section below view etc
You are back!! 😍😍😍 I love your videos
A fill tool that actually works correctly
Hi, this is some awesome technique. Quick question: why did you start designing from the sideview instead of at an angle? Seems like it'd be much more helpful to transition to 3D if you draw the head at an angle first.
I’ve been using clip studio for over a year and didn’t know half of this. Thank you so much for this
10/10 You're like the best explainer I've ever seen in an art video!
Saw him at the bottom of some of your Webtoon episodes. Nice to see how you drew him. Looks great. 😁
You're amazing, thanks for sharing!! I'd like to see more from you 🥺
We will be attempting to make a return with making more content soon. If you want to see what we've been busy with, there is a live stream from yesterday where we do a breakdown of 10 chapters from our comic where we cover a number of topics about our process.
@@TheGentlemanPanda I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE BACK! Thank God, you are my saviour, I'm just planning to start a webtoon for contest here in my country, your channel is amazing and helpful, you deserve more views and subscribers!
I didn't even know there was a vector eraser.
When I import the head angles it’s too large and idk a way of zooming it out without cutting part of the head is there a method for that?
Well incase I ever learn how to draw then this was very useful. Until then rip me
for the vector lines, will you be able to color it afterward or do you have to pick which color you want to use from the beginning?
You can pick colors and flat an image like normal. The vector lines are special in that they project the line work from the layer above to the one below it as "reference". Then when you use the FILL tool for color, it fills the canvas based on the vector linework from the separate layer that was marked as 'reference'. Kind of like cutting out a stencil and then spray painting a wall. (where the stencil in this example is the line-art and the spray paint is the fill colors for the flats)
finally someone explains how they do those fragmented files for webtoons ;v; I've been just making huge files that I later have to collage and experiment how it would look on a phone screen, thanks for all the tips ♥
this is super helpful thank you!!!
All your videos are excellent!! Can´t wait to learn more about the vector brush!
This was mind-blowing. One of the very best speed paintings I ever watched in my life.
This is fantastic, thank you very much!
On the subject of merging the vector layers before coloring... if you don't want to do that cuz you still want all your lines in different layers, just plop all the vector layers into a new folder, then make the folder the Reference layer.
sooooo helpful! This was so quick and easy to understand🤩
Thank gawd for this tutorial. I’m a Photoshop veteran who’s new to Clip and new to creating comics. Big big thanks for this tutorial 🎉
but how come I can't find "page settings" when i have csp pro ?
This. Is. BRILLIANT! Thank you for sharing this valuable info!!!
Thank you for sharing those tips! It's very useful!!
I did a similar method with the heads, only I turned it into a brush that spits out a vertical row of 7 heads with the middle head being a straight camera angle and the 3 levels above and below. I'd like to see this method catch on so better artist can build better sets that I can then alter into my style and use since my set is still flawed on a few angles. Ive tried using 3d models to help me understand the head angles more but it doesn't look very good. There's almost a hidden art of translating angles into manga style so that it reads better. A big challenge was getting the jawline stylized in a way that is pleasing in worm eye views.
It reminds me when I do gesture drawing too, great vid!!
Great video! Thank you so much!
Thanks, this was amazingly useful!
Best webtoon video I've ever seen! Thank you
well done!
I'm liking your videos! Just wondered if you're still active? I hope so :)
God thank you sooo much. I’ve drawn soooo many comics but I’ve never gone digital and I really want to make it a goal to publish a graphic novel next year even if I just self publish for myself and moving into the digital era is sooooo scary for me. I just got a drawing tablet and read about the amazing presets for graphic novels in this software but oh my is it overwhelming with zero previous knowledge and watching this really showed me how I can cut a lot of corners with my novel. Not to mention it has a lot of robots and that can be tedious and I can see how this’ll speed me up. I also read u can use 3d images for backdrops and make it looked ink which would be nice but still learning. Anyway, point being: u are the only video that talked to me like I truly had no knowledge. Most videos I can’t even keep up and I just feel overwhelmed haha
