  when i read the book as a child I always thought this scene was more like, comedic and wholesome then sad bc of how dramatic he is compared to his usual chill attitude. its interesting to see mich ppl are more emotionally invested and moved by it

  I am right now reading through every moomin book for the first time in swedish because I never read them as a child and in the swedish version it doesn’t really say that he cries he more so just sits down and starts being numb it makes me happy that its like this in the english version because it really felt needed to see him breaking down for real in all this madness.

  I REALLY hope they do this scene better in season 4 than they did in the 90's movie, nothing against it really, but snufkin's reaction in it seems very much like "oh no! Anyways." I mean, he's already cried once when the fire spirit sacrificed itself, so hopefully they actually let him cry his heart out in this scene.

  In the extract, Moomintroll calls Snufkin 'Snuff'. Standalone, its cute, however Im not sure why this detail makes my heart ache SO MUCH. I kinda wanna cry, but at the same time its _so cute_ , I'm very conflicted. And, yes, I understand that this is old.
