The song theme is about unrequited love. The man fell in love (but kept it by himself) with the wife of his friend. But his dream came true when aka Layla and his hubby got divorced. The main male character, the singer of Layla married Layla after her divorce with his now ex-hubby. Winner! However, the two ( the new couple) got divorced also. Well, well... that's life! Trust that God allows things to happen, be it a pleasant one or not so pleasant memories to mold our character in preparation for His good purpose and for His glory, in Christ. The mixed-feelings ( the bittersweet) we experienced due to a loss of someone endeared to us or of whom we value so much is so confusing. That humbling sad plight could shape us into a person who is compassionate, kind and with empathy for the feelings of other people. It's simply because we have had experienced it! Thus, choose to be such an encouragement for others. With deep understanding of human nature by then, inspire the concerned person to choose to be happy, too! It is because being joyful always is really a choice! In whatever condition, give thanks. Whatsoever we desire and ask for in prayers which is within His will, believing, you shall receive. Our loving Abba Father is gracious and kind. He can make things happen. "It's quite easy to let go .... then the song begins again. She will hear our love songs and the melody and even if the words are not so tender, she will always remember the way it used to be". Think positive!
