I am NOT responsible for the KZread ads. I DO NOT have any control over them. I DO NOT make any money from them.
To be able to control the adverts, I must join the KZread Partner Program. I cannot because channels which upload radio dramas are NEVER approved by KZread. I speak from experience. The moment I apply, my channel will be shut down for copyright violations and reused content.
IT HAPPENS NONETHELESS.
So please, there's no point in comparing channels like this to meditation channels and the like. Those channels get approved. So THEY can control their adverts.
I cannot afford to respond to every single complaint about the adverts because I also risk losing this channel for spamming.
Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you too!😍😘💖💞💕
thank you, enjoyed this enormously
So glad! Thank you! 😍😘💖💞💕
Awful music and dreadful loud breathing and sighing.
Haven't listened to this yet but I'm guessing there will be an argument with his wife, a flirtation with a younger woman, a murder, him solving it, too much alcohol and a phone call with his agent.
@@jakistuart that the bones of it, 😺😺😺🏃🏃🏃🏃
So well acted, enjoyed, Bill Nighty excells
I don't remember any references to Charles' interest in crosswords, other than this episode. I would have liked hearing more of that.
EPIC

I do not control the ads. KZread puts ads in videos, whether you want them or not. 💖
Another wonderful plus about these stories is that there are NO ads to annoy us! Many, many thanks!

Thank you for this episode and thank you in advance for the rest of the Martin Beck Mystery series.
The Complete Martin Beck Series | BBC RADIO DRAMA. 💖 kzread.info/head/PLgy0s18vR45MqtceX6VmS9nGJkG1eFaGZ
These old pampered middle class women seem to live forever.
The Martin Beck books, of which there are ten, are excellent. They were written in the 1960s and into the 70s by two left wing journalists who used the detective as a vehicle for a stinging critique of Swedish society. The version made by Swedish TV et al, the version shown by BBC 4,is very good, but almost a lifetime away from the books. Watch the tv version, listen to the radio version, but do rrad the books (and the background to their creation, and writing). Point of interest, they are considered to be the origin of Swedish/Scandinavian noir by many crime fiction authors including Henning Mankell.
Thanks so much for the intriguing insight.
Edited highlights from the script: “Are you sure?” “I see…” “By Timothy!” “What do you mean?” “Paul, look out - he’s trying to run us off the road!” “It was a blue coat. It was a blue coat? Yes, it was a blue coat.” “Go on…” “Okey dokey Mrs Temple.”
Huh?
The opening thunes reminds me of a melodi I heard before, but I cant place and it bothers me, Im terrebly waxed, from some film?
Enjoyed this..thanks.💜uk
Can you tell me please, when were these series recorded?
2008 revival with Crawford Logan. New production of an adventure by Francis Durbridge, first broadcast in 1949. 💖
@@ThinkingOutLoudr thank you

37:50 haha The Rutles!!!! Good one. 47:00 "...he left the sentence hanging, like an empty noose...'. Nice line.
And I never knew how great Bill Nye is at character voices. When he broke into a funny moment with a character youd never know it was him. Thank gawd weve still got such talent our there. And that applies to everyone involved in this series. First class!
I am trying to buy you 5 coffes, but internett thinks I am a robot. Is there any other way I can endorse you ? As my eyesight is fading due to diabetes, The Bill Nighy shows have brought me immensly much joy !!!!! YOU did that, and I do want to thank you for your hard work !!!! Hugssssss 💞💜💕💜💞💜
Thanks so much for trying. Tomorrow is another day. Happy to be of service. 😍😘💖💞💕

"a visa"... don't they learn Latin in England? This sounds like: a mice.
I'm using this to get through a stomach bug and switching off from work.
These Beck dramatizations are top notch. Thanks.
Cheers for rhe upload!! These radio dramas make me awfully honesick but they are sheer bliss to me. Regards from Argentina!! 🤗✨ xxx
Absolutely wonderful radio play. Such distinct diction. Fantastic voice acting. No need for swearing to keep the audience captivated. So very enjoyable. Thank you for posting.
Thank you for appreciating! 😍😘💖💞💕
I love the pace of these and always drift off to sleep about 20 min before the end. Tho usually not when I'm driving.
Brilliant!!! Thank you so much for sharing!! ✨🤗
Thank you! Cheers! 😍😘💖💞💕
Anarcho Syndicalist ! Holy Grail Monty Python Reference!!
If you are listening this for practice while learning English, I recommend you don't use the transcript. It is auto-generated and inaccurate. Good luck with your studies!
And.. I love Kohlberg eating everything or on a diet where he has gained weight!! lol and he really loves his wife and child!!
I love all the voices!! Especially Beck!! I love that there are 2 narrators!
The narrators are excellent. A joy to listen to.

I like the dry Nordic humour.
I'm glad they didn't "modernize" this. My dad was in the US Army Air Force at an English base in Egypt in WW2 and frequently went to Cairo. They used to send the Italian POWs to Cairo to get ingredients for food and let them cook at the base because the Brits were feeding them tough, smelly, mutton.
