  It is to provide nutrients through the fine roots. During the shedding period, Lithops usually get water and nutrients from the old leaves, but I am giving them water.

  Sowing Conophytum seeds works well when there is a temperature difference. However, I have successfully sown them in August, which is also summer like in Singapore.

  plants with no root usually have the urgency to find water to sustain themselves, that's why they're trying to grow new roots. maybe the water therapy group doesn't grow their root as fast as the 1st group because they're soaked in water and the tiny root nubs absorb the water and make them less urgent to find water. that's why they're slower to develop roots 🤔

  after cutting the roots, i thought it was important to let them dry for a few days to a week to prevent infection? i wonder how drying would affect the rate of root growth versus planting and watering immediately 🤔

  That's right, it's important to let them dry for a few days to a week. Drying is crucial because if there are any potential wounds on the lithops, they can heal during this period. However, whether or not you cut the roots doesn't relate to the wounds. I also believe that what affects the growth rate is the formation of new roots. I will make a video about the growth rate in the future.
