@@petitplants The newbie to lithops seems to have the most trouble with lithops that have been root pruned heavily. The leaves rot before any roots grow. And this is with a loose, coarse grain and well draining potting mix. Have you done a newbie video? Thanks :)

That's correct. Heavily trimming the roots makes it difficult for new roots to grow. I recommend planting without trimming the roots as much as possible. Especially for Lithops, I do not recommend cutting for propagation. 🌱 A good way to encourage new root growth is to use a small pot with fine-grain soil, as it retains moisture for a longer period. Without moisture, new roots won't grow. However, if moisture is retained for too long, mold can develop in the soil. Healthier and larger Lithops specimens are more likely to develop new roots even if the roots are cut. 😊 I will also consider creating a video for newbies. 📹 Please also refer to this link: KZread link. The principles for propagating Conophytum and Lithops are the same. The method for rooting after short cutting is also similar to propagation.

보통 단수하며 키우면 뿌리가 바싹 마르는데 마른 입술에 침 바르면 더 바싹 마르는 것 처럼 c그룹이 그런 상태가 아닐까 하고 혼자 생각만 해봐요 애매한 물이라 판단해서 오히려 더 방어적인 상태?🤔 결국은 뿌리 끝만 젖은건데(언제라도 금방 마를수 있는 상황) 이때 뿌리 냈다가 물 말라버리면 타격이 클테니...

Корневище очень толстое, я не знаю как правильно обрезать короче. Посоветуйте, как лучше спасти - мокрый или сухой способ? Это растение очень дорогое для меня😊

Для начала, мне нужно понять, в каком состоянии находится ваш литопс. Без этого сложно дать точный совет. В нынешней ситуации, чтобы спасти растение, используйте стерилизованные ножницы или нож для обрезки здоровых частей и удаления поврежденных. После обрезки оставьте растение на 3-7 дней в хорошо проветриваемом месте в тени, чтобы раны подсохли. Затем пересадите литопс в свежую сухую почву. Поливайте растение обильно и повторяйте полив после полного высыхания почвы, пока не появятся новые корни. Надеюсь, что ваш литопс восстановится. 구엽있을때 위에서 물줘도 죽지 않던가요? 구엽 사이에 물 들어가서 많이 죽는다고 하던데..

통풍만 좋다면 구엽 사이에 물이 들어가도 괜찮아요. 통풍이 안좋고 습이 계속 유지 된다면 공팜이가 생겨서 리톱스가 죽을수도 있지만요...저는 탈피시기에도 물을주고 있습니다.

I also tried water therapy once (after I read a post on Reddit). My lithops in soil was not able to suck up the water even after watering (I don't know why). So I put just the roots in water using an elastic band....and it worked great for me... Just after one night the lithops was plump again😊. Saved and it's still with me today 🎉
