If you check some of my older athletics videos, there is the Men’s 90-99 100m world champs, 80 year olds doing Pole Vault etc. If I can do stuff like that in my 80’s and 90’s I’ll be a very happy man 😂

Hi there. Non Toff Will and Bunny Boy Dan are unlikely as I’ve never met or spoken to them and don’t have their contact details. Claire and Jack from my champs show I do need to ask. Actually spoke to Ricky recently so it possible an interview will happen with him. I think I spoke to Sian just after I’d been out there in 2009. I might be able to contact her. There is someone from series 4 that I wanted to contact as well
@@jumpinjono yeah I had a feeling you wouldnt have contact with dan and will I feel like most people who were on the show kinda kept private about it you never really see people who did the show mention it on social media, how ever I’m surprised you ever talked to sian,she would be a great one to interview bc if it wasn’t for that rule that you had to restart the spinner if you fell which was changed in series 2 she would of been the first female to win the show also a lot of people liked it how she beat action man Johnny who everyone called sexist although I’m sure he was just acting for the show.
The big question is does the video include big GB falling off the stage?

They really should try make it happen because there is even a 57 year old on this new season Also did that podcast of 2 scoops ever take off? When I was up at the filming of this new series I did mention to someone who worked on the original Gladiators and he said he reckoned he would still be very rapid on the course. If/when a new series is confirmed I’m gonna see if I can speak to the new producers about it
I can't believe it's the same woman. Lisa Gibbs was hot, which like most hot people, stay hot when they're older... ...but now she seems to have a completely different face and voice.

Funnily enough I will have to watch on BBC iPlayer later that night as I’m actually competing in a Ninja Warrior competition while the first episode airs on BBC1. Having watched 2 of the Quarter Finals being filmed back in June, I can’t wait to see it on tv!

Hiya. Thanks for that! Oh yeah I remember him. Sadly I’ve never met him. Only person I ever met from S1 Ep1 was that rugby player who made dizzy dummies. Randomly met him at the cinema once. I floated the idea to Rob & Benny from my show that all 3 of us have a chat, but haven’t got around to finding a date we are all free. I’d also like to try and sort something with someone in one of the latter series. I do have a couple Gladiators based interviews and Ninja Warrior ones planned as well as some rowing ones as that’s been my main sport, but do want to get some more Wipeout ones sorted to add into the mix

I feel sorry for the kid and the huge pressure that's on him at such a young age. He should not be treated as a rockstar but he should be protected and allowed to have fun with this. It doesn't mean that he can't run or train to run but being the fastest kid around should not be the focus. His long-term health, including his mental health, should be the focus.
Luckily his parents are not putting any pressure on him. His parents are both athletes and he started running a couple years ago and loved it. This is why he is getting involved in other activities as well like football to see what he enjoys the most. I’ve known Heath since he was born and have even done some babysitting for him and I’ve known his parents for over a decade. This was the first chance I got to see him race so I asked about maybe doing a short interview as I’ve spoken to Heath over the last year and how quickly he was catching up my running times.
iirc his parents really aren't pushing him at all, not putting any pressure on him - they're being incredibly sensible with him and his training, he only occasionally does the adult parkrun, and 3 training sessions a week is perfect. His focus is to have fun, he just happens to be quite ridiculously fast at the same time as having fun.

Hey Jon, I’ve just been looking through winter wipeout and noticed that the series final is missing. A bit weird as I watched it a couple months ago but it’s disappeared, was wondering if you had the recording of it? Thanks anyway 😂
I started to notice a few episodes are now missing. It could be that KZread took them down. I’m considering setting up a back up channel and move some uploads to there as last year I got a strike for a video (athletics) that had been up for 8 years! It came out of nowhere. 3 active strikes and a channel gets shut down. Any old episodes I have are stored on my old HDD recorder and that’s in a storage unit now. Can’t remember if the winter wipeout episodes are on there.

One of my early uploads shows Rob sprinting the 100m. It was from 2008 so my camera phone was pretty poor quality. If you go to my playlist section, look for Rowing and there are a few videos there which include a couple videos of Rob in action. His rowing style for 100m sprint is different to his style for a 1:00 sprint or 500m as those are done at a lower stroke rate. His 100m is around 65spm vs about 44-45spm on a 1:00 sprint or 500m

I sort of felt bad that he never won an episode while ones like me did, as he was on another level to most of us

Episodes 6, 9, 10 and 11 don't seem to be available anywhere! would also love to see an interview with Slam Dunk James, Rock God Jon or Scary Claire, those three have to be some of my favourite contestants from all the series. It'd be interesting to hear their experiences considering the latter two were asked back for Series 5 if I recall
Yeah I thought a few episodes had vanished. It’s possible there might have been a copyright issue. I once tried to upload an episode and it got blocked instantly. I might have the episodes, but they are stored on an old HDD recorder and that machine is in storage. I wouldn’t wanna risk putting them on this channel as some guys are getting strikes on their channel for old videos uploaded years ago. In terms of other people. I’ve never spoke to slam dunk james or rock god jon, but do need to get in touch with Claire as I haven’t spoken to her in a while now. I have spoken to Rob & Benny from my show so hopefully something can be recorded when all 3 of us are free.

I remember quite a lot of sweeper kings / queens ended up unfortunately ended up being eliminated during dizzy dummies / dreadmill and not making the wipeout zone especially during series 2
Not a single person who was in a dreadmill episode won the sweeper and made it to the zone. The only person ever to win the 2nd round in a dreadmill episode and make it to the wipeout zone is chopper Brian.

Great video but handsome ollie (s1 ep1 winner) made it to touching the 4th ball by *losing* his head 😂. Also this is the first interviewee to remember their experience fully like you. Ironic because he was the earliest out of everyone you have interviewed.
I loved it! I often still have dreams about where I went wrong on the dizzy dummies. I often have dreams about being out in Argentina again and getting another shot! It was an amazing experience I’ll never forget!
