I'm going to make this! How tight do I place the lid? Do I open it to check on it during the fermentation process? Thanks for the guidance to get my gut right with the world!

Hello. I want to make this, but am wondering about the large (cabbage?) leaves that you pulled out of the jar once it was fermented?!? I didn't see or hear what/when those were added during the preparation of the jars. Please help!

The spanish inquisition was created to regulate the religious intolerance of the society which at that times was brutal intolerance in all countries all along Europe , so the inquisition was a normatized system, a guarantized regulared system with lawers, scripts, and procedures to avoid, lynchs, fires, and burned witches by dozens.

People killed by inquisition in América were mostly pirates, Britishs, Duchts, Frenchs. The injuries prosecuted by inquisition were not only herejía but also proxenetism, fake money or false coins, also internal affairs inside the church, priests etc.

More than 800 hospitals were built in the Americas. Nothing like that in history: Roman Empire, Mongol Empire, Arab Empire, other European empires, etc.

The anti Spain propaganda in Hollywood, Netflix, Marvel, etc films and comics has been and still is relentless. A good book on this subject: "Hollywood contra España. Cien años perpetuando la Leyenda Negra" by Esteban Vicente Boisseau.

In an often quoted passage Alexander von Humboldt visited Mexico in 1800 and wrote that a Native American peasant lived better than his German counterparts.

Native American Tribes were racist among themselves. It preceded Europeans. Spanish were a minority so they needed to intermarry. They chose noble women from tribes that were allies. An example: Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, son of Spanish nobleman and Inca princess. I speculate that after the independence the criollos, mostly masons with links to London, were probably more racist than what society was under Spain. Likely, the influence of 18th century Britain and 19th century Great Britain and puritanism in the US made Spanish speaking America more racist in the aftermath of Anglo saxon rise to world power.

The Inquisition was focused on discovering fake converts to Catholicism not in converting people to Catholicism. It of course belongs to an era of constant warfare between faiths.

Human sacrifice and cannibalism were the religious and economic basis of most Native American tribes. Hell on earth if you weren`t from the dominating tribes

All modern nations had inquisitions. Research the Protestant repressions of catholics or of lower classes. For example, Luther crushing the peasant anabaptist revolt left 100. 000 dead; Henry VIII burning of Catholics and Lutjherans, and later Oliver Cromwell persecution of Irish. As for witches, hundred of thousands were burned in central and northern Europe. In Spain according to Henry Kamen there were 2.500 victims of the Spanish Inquisition from 1478 to 1833. The French Revolution guillotine murdered 30.000 in Paris and more than 100. 000 Catholics in the War in the Vendée. As for torture it exists to this day in all super powers. Remember the Abu Ghraib torture and prisoner abuse.

Yes, there have been many deaths in battles in Spanish America, the entire east, south and southeast of the United States and all of America in general... but the biggest killers... were diseases... in Europe a century before Colon arrived in America, it had been devastated by the Black Plague... brought by rat fleas on ships from Asia, the Spanish and European colonizers... brought diseases, such as smallpox, syphilis, tuberculosis, to these territories. that they were not used to these diseases, very high percentages of indigenous people died...then arrived at the end of the first world war...another disease...we are going to give it a Spanish name so that they can see that it was really bad...(the Spanish flu). CALLED THAT way because it was the Spanish newspapers that broke the news. since those who were dying were not interested in giving it because it was at the end of the world war, and it was getting out of the hands of the leaders. 30 to 50 million people died. depending on who tells it, a million almost in United States...and then all the pandemics that have occurred...many in Africa...those unfortunately do not interest anyone...AIDS...and now Covid...with millions of deaths...but yes You want to see the reality of the black legend...visit the countries that the Christians have conquered...and countries that the Protestants have conquered...where there are more multiracial natives, or if there are still some left...or very few thousands... .greetings
