    aot isn't over yet, don't worry. we're gonna return to this goated writing eventually. 139 is too horrendous to be uninentional.

  • @Adam_Zielinski
    @Adam_ZielinskiАй бұрын

    I honestly believed that was the intent. but look at the reception to 139. People liked it. Our understanding and hope of ANR or an AOE in general is built on the idea that it's hilariously bad. That Eren, is hilariously bad. But if most people don't see the contradictions, or simply the better path we thought we saw Isayama lay out, what's the point? Is Isayama meant to validate us, at the cost of those who enjoyed his ending? Those who defended him against us "haters"? Are we meant to laugh at those people for being so stupid they haven't seen some epic kino decade long plan hidden in background details and obscure music videos? And all for what? What should even be the alternative real ending? A successful, immortal facist nation? All in all, while all of 139 is beyond awful imo, the end credits scene of Paradis being destroyed isn't that bad. The message that Violence will always be present. Perhaps this may be good to bring up in the next video 🤣

    @@Adam_Zielinski Do consider that Paradis only fell under Yeagerist rule because Eren gave up; in AnR, Eren would *not* let Historia and Ymir suffer the burden of being monarch. Paradis as a state would dissolve and people would be allowed to live freely for once, and begin again without the mistakes of the past. "Let us live in a world without walls" "I never wanted to be the king I swear". Eren's rage in the rumbling was against the cycle, created by King Fritz. He created the Eldian Empire, its sins, and the suffering and violence of the world. Eren is the opposite, he will free the world and allow it to start again. EDIT: Floch, the main "fascist" wants to go home and let everyone go home and stop fighting, rather than ruling an empire.

  • @Adam_Zielinski
    @Adam_ZielinskiАй бұрын

    While Ymir/Eren's child being free is a core of ANR, I can't imagine a well written ending where the regime somehow dissolves, because the only structure left on Paradis are the most radical Yeagerists. Every other higher-up was killed as a Titan.

    @@Adam_Zielinski i still think yams will go through with his true vision, regardless of public perception. he has said on multiple occasions he wants to ‘hurt’ and ‘betray’ his fans, which i think refers to *all* fans. i don’t think he sold out to do a safe, vanilla (but also somehow story-breaking) ending. the cour 2 changes confirm that for me (‘i’ve tried over and over again’). also consider ‘arc of the ashes’, isayama’s interviews post-cour 2, the unused osts, the new linked horizon album covers, and their connection to all the odin/yggdrasil norse mythology symbolism. all this pretty clearly indicates that regardless of what the majority of fans may initially think, he’s gonna complete his story. and i think the premise of anr is so good that if given the proper fleshing-out (ideally in manga form first), the majority of fans would come to view it as a really poignant and fitting ending for aot. on the ending itself, i think you can have the yeagerists all but cease to exist after a full rumbling, because there wouldn’t be a threat for them to stand against. if he wanted, yams could imply the beginning of a civil war at the end of anr, far in the future, but i’d prefer if it weren’t the focus, and we ended on a note of the children being out of the forest, which yams literally drew himself with that ‘you’re free’ baby panel.

  • @erenanr
    @erenanrАй бұрын

    @@justaguy7732 this, yes! eren is explicitly presented as being *against* both king fritz and karl fritz’s wills. his goal is to create a world no longer bound by the sins of the past. unfortunately, to do that, he commits the worst act of violence in human history. but that’s part of why anr is so fascinating thematically.

    For a few reasons I made the choice to split the original hour long video into two parts (or 2 sets of 3 topics). The next video as it is now (may change slightly) is far more analytical and less personal, and I thought the end of this video ended on a strong personal note. The "AMV"-like segments of the "Purpose" part Should give a sizable insight as to what I think of those parts going forward 😄

    Attack on Titan was an excellent show. While I wasn't a fan of the ending, the show and how Eren had an impact on the anime community will always be remembered. Eren's character for sure has his flaws, but his dedication, evolution, and vitriol are what I liked about him. There's much we can learn from him, both the good and bad sides of him, and his words where something I would look up to for motivation. Also Erehisu gang 👑

    Apparently there is a student council in my school too. It was formed about 3-4 months ago. But the saddest part was that I wasn’t chosen. The teachers gave names themselves and there were elections among students. Obviously they are going to pick their friend’s names and I don’t have many people whom I can call friends. But I’m at top of my school. Got 2 medals academically in one year, top rank in math quiz and top rank in final examinations. Maybe I am too study oriented that I don’t participate in physical activities so they didn’t choose me. Unlike shuuichin where student council is respected, the student council of our school just keeps on getting bullied by the other bullies. What an ideal world.

  • @Adam_Zielinski
    @Adam_Zielinski11 ай бұрын

    What you said hits home, when I was in school I went as far as becoming the head of a new committee which failed to do anything. Let me ask you a question, why do you want to be a part of the student council? Do you actually want to make changes in the school? Do you want your voice to me more important then of those around you? Or do you crave validation for what you think you've achieved thus far? If you want what Shirogane has, you won't find it in a title. The section on the handball training fully encapsulates the "why" Shirogane has what he has.

  • @deneb.
